View Full Details of Priestley RoseMum has been in the home since July 2018. When she was more physically fit she would participate in activities and enjoyed being taken out by family. As time went by she has had to have her care increased, and is unable to do anything for herself. The staff had ensured her comfort, dignity and care all the way through. They are proactive and liaise with family and GP, and reassess mums needs regularly. So glad she is here.
I have been here for 5 months and have been really pleased that I was sent here. The care has been excellent and the staff are ready to help in any way that they can. The general atmosphere is of a happy home. They are continually trying to keep the resident occupied and often have singers in on special occasions. I would recommend Priestly Rose to any one.
My brother joined the home late last year and has settled and is very well looked after. I'm happy with his care.
I can not speak highly enough of the staff at Priestley Rose. They are kind, caring and attentive, they care for the family just as much as they care for the residents. During my sister's short stay at Priestley Rose, they organised a room so we could celebrate my sister's birthday and treated her with care and dignity even though they knew we were going to move her because of Priestley Rose being the other side of the city and one and a half hour journey each way (never trust social workers). If we could move Priestley Rose and all the staff to our side of the city we would 100% have stayed there. We hope the new place is as good. Thanks so much everyone at Priestley Rose, you are a credit to your profession. I cannot recommend anywhere more than Priestley Rose if you live Erdington side of the city, they are truly wonderful.
We are happy with the care received from Priestley Rose.
My partner has been at PR for 10 months. He has really settled in and is content. When he arrived at PR he was PEG Fed - he now eats 3 meals a day, PEG is still used for medication and fluids still. Hoping and aiming for fluids to be taken orally and reducing the use of the PEG. He is very happy there.
I am happy with everything that is done for Mom, likes the food and the food is very good. Happy with the activities and care, can talk to staff about anything.
All fine, no concerns.
The service my mother receives is very good and also her care is good, but I feel you could try to persuade her to get out of her bedroom more often.
Although Dad was there for a short period of time before he passed away in hospital, I would like to praise all the staff for everything they did to make his last few weeks comfortable. Our family were always made welcome during our visits and we were kept up to date on Dad's needs.
My aunt is well looked after. She is always clean, fed and safe which is the main priority. The staff are excellent with her and take the time to interact with her and they understand her condition. The food is well presented, nutritious and a variety is offered. As she struggles to feed herself there is always a member of staff to help her.
I am so very grateful that I managed to secure a place for my lovely father-in-law at Priestly Rose. The home was already known to me as my own mother was happily a resident in 2018 and 2019. My father-in-law has settled very quickly and recently told us how loved he feels in his new home, What more could we ask for? The home manager leads a team of truly caring, capable and compassionate staff who bring a smile to my face every time I visit. The home itself has a warm, clean and welcoming vibe with an air of calm that makes it truly special.
Lovely care home, lovely staff, always helpful. Look after my mum wonderfully. Thank you.
My father was treated with dignity and respect throughout his respite. The food was good and plentiful. Everyone was friendly and polite. The manager down to the cleaning staff all called him by name. My father enjoyed his stay.
My review of Priestlly Rose is that it provides me with a safe and comforting homelike environment. The staff are excellent and ever willing to aid and assist me with whatever I want or have to do. I always feel at home and loved by all members of staff.
After my husband was diagnosed with life-changing health conditions, amyloid vascular dementia, I was in a position where I couldn't provide the care he needed 24/7. If it had not been for the high-quality care provided for my husband by Priestly Rose, I could not imagine how I would have coped!
My father's stay at this nursing home was for approximately sixteen months and during all this time we felt the staff were excellent. They really persevered with dad in trying to get him to drink and eat and he never suffered from any bed sores whilst in their care. The nurses were excellent too and would always keep the family updated with any issues and were always in contact with the registered doctor to keep on top of anything. The staff always made the family very welcome when we visited and they made such an effort with getting residents to participate in numerous activities. The only issue for us is that the rooms are very basic and could do with renovating.
Priestley Rose nursing home staff were extremely professional in all aspects, in caring for my relative, with dignity and respect. Staff always kept the family informed of any changes that affected my relative. I cannot thank all staff enough for the care they provided.
My husband moved into Priesley Rose at the beginning of November 2021. He is very happy and has settled in very well. Myself and the family are very happy with the care he has received. All his needs are seen to extremely well; he is enjoying the meals. Food well cooked and well presented. Staff wonderful, everyone is so friendly, helpful and pleasant. I'm so happy with Priestley Rose.
Staff are very kind and helpful.
