View Full Details of Wyndley Grange Nursing HomeMy Mum was a resident for over 6 years. The management were always very supportive (a huge advantage of not dealing with a larger faceless group but directly with the owners). The staff were very kind and cared for my Mum in a very compassionate and loving way the staff were always very helpful to my family and me and little things like arranging lunch on our own was never a problem. Over the time my Mum had several admissions to hospital and they always welcomed her back at any time of the day which were very useful with transport arrangements. On the day of Mums funeral, the staff all came out and paid their respects and some of the staff attended the funeral which was really lovely. The home did the best for Mum and sometimes I knew care was more important than profit. I would strongly recommend that any families looking for a nursing home in the area should certainly visit Wyndley and spend some time with the manager and the staff.
We were advised Mom was very poorly requiring end-of-life care, we were devastated, no longer being able to care for her at home, reluctantly agreeing for her to move into care not knowing what to expect. From day one staff were amazing, treating Mom with dignity and respect, taking care of not only her medical needs but personal care, she was bed-bound and extremely frail. We visited every day, always met with friendly greetings from everyone, kept up to date with medical developments, changes were promptly dealt with, ensuring she was as comfortable as possible. Someone was always on hand to discuss any concerns. When Mom passed as throughout her care we were kept informed, and were able to spend her final moments with her. We cannot thank everyone enough for looking after not only Mom but us as a family during those last few weeks. We would assure anyone looking for care for a family member Wyndley Grange should be top of your list, the staff are amazing, we cannot praise them highly enough.
Mum came to Wyndley Grange at the end of May initially for respite care having had the latest of many recent falls. The Management and Nursing team acted very promptly after our enquiry and couldn't have been more helpful. After a few weeks Mum came to the realisation that she could no longer care for herself and has become a resident. She has a lovely spacious room overlooking the garden and can get out to the lovely covered garden terrace to sit and read or take a bit of exercise. All the staff are friendly and kind from the Nurses, Carers, Housekeepers, Receptionists to the lovely maintenance men. I have peace of mind that all her needs are catered for and she is in a secure and safe environment.
My mother went to hospital where she reached a point in May 2023 where the efforts of the doctors were having no positive effect and just causing her stress and anxiety so it was agreed to stop treatment. We were offered a move to Wyndley Grange. The people there treated her with the utmost care and respect in all aspects of her stay. As she got weaker the type of help was modified to suit her needs and ensure that she was comfortable. Trips to the lounge stopped because she didn't want to go. She could barely move in bed and ate very little but they did all they could to encourage her. When we visited the staff told us how she was doing, nursing staff were always available for Mother and to help us understand what was happening. When the time came we were contacted and went to see her, the nursing staff were brilliant, sympathetic and understanding both with Mother and those of us visiting. Can't thank them enough.
My mother was a resident at Wyndley Grange for almost 2 years. During that time we found the staff at the care home to be very caring and professional and they became almost a second family to Mum. During Mum's last few months in the home, she was very ill and became increasingly frail. The staff were amazing treating her with dignity and respect and were very caring and empathetic to her needs. It gave us as a family great peace of mind knowing that she was being so well looked after at all times of the day and night. When we knew mum was the end of her life we could not have asked for more. The nursing team were always on hand to talk to us and explain what was happening, what medication she was on and the next steps. The staff supported us as a family as well as the care they gave mum to make her as comfortable and as pain-free as possible in her last few days. I would not hesitate to recommend Wyndley Grange as a care home. The staff are wonderful and the care is second to none.
We could not be happier with the care our mother received here during the last 2 months of her life. We had to choose a home quickly and feel so fortunate we chose Wyndley Grange Nursing Home. The staff here have been amazing, demonstrating real care and empathy, not just for my mom but my father on his regular visits. The whole experience was as positive as it could have been and I can only thank everyone at Wyndley Grange for their support at a most difficult time.
My mother has been at Wyndley since May 2022. She is bed bound and suffers from advanced dementia. She is 89. Wyndley is Mum's fifth stay in a care home. All different. Wyndley is without doubt the best care home she has stayed in for many reasons. Her room is great. The staff are amazing. Professional, caring, pleasant, and thorough. There are no agency staff as all the staff at Wyndley want to work there and care about what they are doing. Nothing is too much trouble. My father who is 93 visits Mum every day. He lives alone. He has just had a week's respite at Wyndley due to illness. Although he has no plans to return as he wishes to remain independent, he only had good things to say about his stay. The manager is always available. Any needs you have he is only too happy to accommodate.
If I could put 100 stars here for Wyndley Grange Nursing Home, I would. They cared for my mother in the last three months of her life, treating her with kindness and respect in her final journey. Having moved my 95-year-old mother from another care home, believing this brand would provide the best care for her as her condition deteriorated, I could not have been more wrong. The need to move Mum became desperately urgent. The Wyndley Grange team were supportive, communicative and very caring at every single level - I honestly cannot fault them. They understood her needs clinically and emotionally. I believe this greatly helped to improve her behaviour and state of mind as her conditions took hold. An immense relief. I was kept informed of every change in my mother's care with the reasons behind this. As a daughter, I was so grateful for this support, as it removed so much stress. Wyndley Grange offers the best care possible, and I would not hesitate in recommending this home.
Mum was made to feel very welcome. Staff were all friendly and caring. They made sure she settled well. The room was modern and well decorated and furnished. She enjoyed sitting looking out over the gardens.
Very kind, well-mannered. I would like to come here when my illness becomes end-of-life.
I viewed several nursing homes prior to my decision to recommend The Grange to my aunt. With the ongoing care and attention, I am convinced I have made the right recommendation., My aunt lived alone for 23 years, she has adapted well to the home, meeting people and staff has lifted her lifestyle and spirit.
My mother was a resident for the last 9 months of her life. I can honestly say she had the best care we could have ever wished for. After her health declined to require 24hr care in the middle of a pandemic we took her to Wyndley Grange Nursing Home and the staff couldn’t do enough to help her or us. My mother was extremely happy with the care provided, the food was to the highest standards and their compassion was second to none. The activities team went above and beyond to ensure we had regular video calls whilst we couldn’t visit. There was nothing that was too much for them, they’d regularly sort out her mobile phone, fix her TV remote and always on hand to chat. The nurse's teams also spent time talking to her, reassuring her when she was anxious and they always kept us up to date on her care. The end of life care was exemplary, not only did they care for my mother in her final hours but they supported my sister throughout her time with our mother. I highly recommend this nursing home.
My auntie went to stay at Wyndley Grange Nursing Home and I couldn't be happier, this is a great home with lovely staff. Management are very supportive and nothing is too much trouble. I would highly recommend and I couldn't wish for a better place for my auntie to be in.
My mother has been a resident at Wyndley Grange for 18-months, and I have been so happy with the care she has received in that time. After a period of her struggling at home, and unfortunately seeing her health and well being deteriorated, we made the difficult choice of finding a care home for her. After viewing a few homes in the area, we were instantly impressed with Wyndley Grange, the home was clean, bright and the staff very friendly, so it was our first choice, and we're so happy to get her a room. We worked with the team at the home to put a personal care plan in place. I am pleased to say, my mother has improved dramatically since being a resident, and her quality of life is superb.
As a family, we are very pleased with the care given to my sister. She was provided with excellent medical and personal care; given a caring home that was safe and secure. She was always treated with dignity and made to feel she was part of a caring environment. We were always made to feel welcome and given support to deal with and changes that took place in her condition or treatment.
My father-in-law was cared for with compassion and kindness by the staff at Wyndley Grange, until he sadly passed away in March 2020. Wyndley made sure that, for the last 2 years of his life, he was safe, and tended to his dementia needs in a professional and caring manner. He enjoyed joining in with the activities at Wyndley, and especially enjoyed being able to sing his favourite songs with a microphone when the singer came each month. My father-in-law was blind, but this disability did not interfere in any way with his care, which was second-to-none. Activities staff gave him brail books to read and allowed him to play his favourite music each day. They were tentative and careful when it came to mobilising my father-in-law around the home and his care needs were always met in a dignified and timely manner. When we came to visit, it felt like home. The staff were friendly, warm, polite and hard-working. They always made us feel very welcome.
I really used to enjoy visiting this home to see my friend. We enjoyed having a catch up over a nice cup of tea. The staff are wonderful and nothing is ever too much trouble. When everything goes back to normal I am really looking forward to visiting again.
My wife was quite poorly having been discharged from hosptial with COPD. The care and attention was first class, couldn't fault the staff or the facilities. Sadly my wife passed, peacefully away last year, with her sons and me by her side. Everything was treated with dignity.
The care and attention my mother-in-law received while at Wyndley Grange was amazing. She was treated with such care and dignity. All the staff showed so much respect when talking to her and our family. I am so grateful that in the last months of her life where we could no longer look after her at home. She had such kind and compassionate people to care for her.
I cannot thank the staff enough. The care my mother received was excellent.
