View Full Details of Evedale Care HomeMy dad arrived at Evedale on September 10th after a very bad experience at another home. We arrived at a very warm welcome from all these staff and taken to his room, which was lovely. Dad has settled in very well. On every visit, the staff will ask if everything is okay and if nothing is too much trouble. The meals are very nice and his room is so very clean. The manager and staff are very approachable. Ten days dad has been here and the difference is remarkable. The activity program is so good for dad. Everything is so perfect for him. Thank you to all the staff.
The building looks lovely on entering. Very short-staffed, personal hygiene for residents very very poor. My mother-in-law has been a resident for three weeks and never got her teeth cleaned. The manager talks a good talk but does nothing after talking. Personal care needs a lot of attention.
I am pleased with the home changes (decoration), just hoping the staff and care remain as good as I have always found them. Staff have been wonderful to my partner and me. I'm in the home a lot and always see staff treating every resident with care and compassion. Love the overall feel of the home.
Having fallen for a second time last year, Mum's previous residential home felt they could no longer look after her with the care she needed. Being discharged into a completely unsuitable environment, I arranged several appointments to see a number of care homes in the Coventry area. Having met the home manager and a number of the team, I was very impressed with their care strategy and their flexibility when it came to Mum's individual needs and preferences. Having gone through a complete renovation programme, the homeowner and Capital Care Group have transformed Evedale Care Home into what can only be described as a luxury hotel geared towards senior living. Not only is the place beautiful, spotless, light and airy but it is has a beautiful sense of calm and tranquillity. The staff have all made Mum so welcome that she feels secure and cherished, which is what we would all wish for our loved ones. Living abroad, I know Evedale was the right choice for Mum and I am kept updated regularly via video calls. Five-star.
My father moved into this home 3 weeks ago. (I myself had heard really bad reports about the place, there was no way my dad was coming here!) How wrong was I? It’s very early days, but the place is amazing. The staff are lovely and the manager has been wonderful. My dad has settled in so well, he’s even had a birthday party with all his family, something we never thought would be happening (it wouldn't have in the old home he was in, he never got out of bed). He loved it, seeing everyone. Big thank you to Evesdale for the lovely buffet they provided for us. We had a wonderful day, best thing we ever did was moving my dad.
My son and I went to visit Evedale Nursing Home. We were both very impressed. We were shown around by the manager true to his word, every he told us about Evesdale Care Home was the truth. Staff are amazing and so caring. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They go above and beyond. On 3rd March we celebrated my dad’s 83rd Birthday. With his lovely family wife, 3 daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. It was a wonderful day. Big thank you to everyone at Evedale for looking after our dad.
Firstly, I'd like to thank you and the team at Evedale for the care given to Grandad. Each time a family member has visited, we can see the difference in the level of care he is receiving; cleanliness and being treated with dignity, small simple tasks like being out of his bed/bedroom and eating in the dining room. It's been great to see my grandad active (kind of) again.
My husband has been a resident at Evedale Care Home for over two years, maybe I've got the dates wrong but that's because he has been so well looked after. I cannot thank the management and staff enough. New owners have taken over and they are doing magical things to the home, I hope we all can come together and keep everybody safe and happy. Thank you all again.
I have nothing but positive feedback. Management and staff have been amazing since my mum moved to Evedale and I can't thank them enough. They are all caring and friendly. My rating on the review will certainly change once the refurbishment is complete.
My mother came here after being in a very poor care home for 6 weeks. We have been extremely happy and content with Evedale due to the fantastic staff and in particular the manager and we cannot praise them enough.
My mother currently resides here, and I can honestly say she is not happy! The food is not great, there is a horrendous smell in the corridors of urine and in her room. I get asked every week by my mother to bring her in snacks as the home does not not provide them or at least tell my mother the kitchen is closed. Therefore she cannot have what she needs (she is a diabetic) her blood sugars go low occasionally and they can’t provide her with snacks. We pay a monthly fee and they can’t provide her with basic needs, my mother doesn’t eat a lot granted but the food doesn’t even look appetising and almost always warm-cold when she receives it. Shocking!
I find the staff very friendly and helpful. The care my husband receives from care workers and nursing staff is very good. Since getting his new chair he is much happier, now he can go to the dining room for meals and go out in the garden.
Very good all-round care. The home is five stars.
The management team were very helpful and accommodating when our mum moved in two days before Christmas 2021. The staff showed care and compassion and understanding despite our mum's complex care needs. Their communication with the family was exceptional and they made sure to share both the highs and lows with us. They always showed compassion and humour, and both were vital.
The care and support provided by the many staff at the home is excellent. My father has vascular dementia but is still fairly mobile for a 90-year-old and he really enjoys helping in the garden. He has a large room with a lovely view where he can watch the birds and the squirrels. He really enjoys his meals and loves talking to the staff. The staff at the home keep me updated and are always willing to discuss my father's care with me. My father was placed in the home following a hospital stay so I feel very fortunate (lucky!) that he was placed in Evedale and I was more than happy to make that his permanent residence as I know he will get the 24 care and support that he will require as his condition progresses. I would not hesitate in recommending Evedale Care Home to others who require support and care.
From the first day Mum went to Evedale Care Home the staff have treated Mum with respect and kindness especially at times she becomes distressed. The leadership is excellent and nursing staff have a highly level of experience and this has been crucial when dealing with Mums complex needs. We are very happy and cannot recommend Evedale Care Home enough.
From the day we met the manager before my Brother arrived to the unfortunate day he passed away, I have nothing but praise for the whole team. They were ALL, friendly, professional, and caring toward my brother and us at all times. Even when he could be quite demanding, they kept their calm and made him as comfortable as possible. In his last few days, he knew he was in a safe place and was very appreciative of the care they gave him. Thank you very much.
Moved Mum into Evedale just before Christmas 2021from a temporary placement elsewhere. We've had no concerns about Mum's care and neither has she expressed any. Communication from staff to family is excellent and visiting very easy to arrange.
On behalf of myself and the family, we can not praise enough the love, care and dignity given to my Dad in the last 10-days of his life at Evedale Care Home after he was taken in as a dementia patient. A lovely, and comfy room. As Dad couldn’t pass at home, this care home was the next best thing. Living overseas I knew that my Mum was also looked after whilst visiting. If Dad had not passed, we would have definitely kept him there. Again, thank you to you all for your amazing compassion, kindness and care, we cannot thank you enough.
All of the carers are truly dedicated professionals and are so kind and loving to my mother. They genuinely care about her wellbeing. The nurses are the same, nothing is too much trouble and they have time to explain all of my questions and any concerns I may have. My mum is very settled now and feels at home at Evedale now. She enjoys the array of activities that they provide for all the residents.
