View Full Details of The Gables Nursing HomeMy husband passed away on 3rd November. His care was excellent. The nurses and staff were kind, loving and considerate in every way. I shall always remember the Gables and would highly recommend them. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. With love and best wishes.
The staff at The Gables always seem to be kind and patient with my mom. I feel relaxed leaving her here for the first time in years.
I have been extremely pleased with the care my husband has received at The Gables. He seems much more relaxed and cheerful. He obviously trusts and feels comfortable with the carers who are always encouraging and are quick to meet his needs. The management at the home have been very helpful and supportive not just to my husband but to all the family and have helped me through a difficult time.
My husband has now been in this home for almost seven weeks. The whole family are made welcome - staff brilliant, food amazing, place spotless. Care of my husband is first class.
Visited a resident on his birthday, and carers were excellent in making sure he enjoyed his birthday. Music, singing of happy birthdays other residents shared his birthday cakes and photos taken.
The staff are very friendly and are looking after our mum very well. She is always clean and tidy when we visit her and seems happy which is a help to us.
Care is good some of the staff are brilliant. Just wish the rest of them would talk more with the residents then they would learn what the residents need by their signs, needs more individual awareness and understanding.
My father was taken to The Gables from the hospital for a two-week assessment on 21/06/23 - 08/07/23. He left in an ambulance suffering from a severe chest infection, a kidney and urine infection and conjunctivitis. He could walk, wash and toilet himself before being taken into social services care. Now he can do none of these things. The Gables did not care at all for my father he was dirty and unkept as was his room. There were 3 days when he did not even have bedding on his bed but an old sofa cushion for a pillow and a throw. This awful place is in need of an unannounced inspection. I will be taking legal advice! I have photographic evidence and messages for the family.
Staff are helpful and friendly. In all, excellent. Attitude to people is outstanding.
My brother has been a resident at The Gables Nursing Home for about three years now. He loves it there. All of the staff genuinely seem to care for him, I wish I had known before, when he was in a previous home, what caring, nurturing and encouraging looks like. This isn't just a home, it's his home and when we visit we always feel so welcomed and at home ourselves. I can't speak highly enough of the team there, I would mention a few but there are too many to mention individually as they are all wonderful.
The staff are always helpful. My uncle seems to be settled and well-looked after.
In August this year, my husband was transferred to The Gables Nursing Home from a previous care home, the treatment and care he is getting at The Gables are excellent, second to none. The nurses are 100% dedicated to the residents. Excellent carers, they couldn't be looked after any better. The home is spotless and smells lovely, it's warm and comfortable. I have no worries whatsoever. He is comfortable and happy as he can be. He is 94 in June and has dementia so he needs that special care he is getting at The Gables.
My mother-in-law is being well looked after, and staff are always helpful if you have any concerns. They are always doing different activities with them. My mother-in-law always says that they can have what they want to eat at meal times and food is cooked nicely too.
Staff are very helpful, nothing is any trouble for them. My husband seems to have settled in.
My father moved into The Gables Nursing Home in September after visiting several homes we chose The Gables after visiting and speaking to the manager. We are very happy with the way our dad is being cared for, the staff go above and beyond with Dad's care and needs. The staff are always happy to answer any questions we have.
The excellent staff are so caring and my sister seems so happy here. Run very well and the staff all engage with the patients.
All staff are really friendly.
The staff at The Gables Nursing Home are fantastic! My sister and I are happy with the care our mum receives here, and we feel our mom is happy being here. I think they do an amazing job and feel the pay should match the great work they do!
The Gables Nursing Home is a fantastic care home. The staff are always so attentive and caring and I know my mom is well looked after and cared for. the management team are always available to respond to any concerns or queries and will always communicate any issues. In particular, five members of staff are amazing at what they do but there are so many other staff I could mention but don't have room. Thank you all.
The Gables staff are always so friendly and welcoming. You can tell that they really care about all of the residents. They made a real effort for Nan to feel special on her birthday, decorating her room and bringing her a cake. They make sure that there are lots of lovely enriching activities to keep the residents happy and entertained.
