View Full Details of Ardenlea Grove Care HomeMy dad has thrived since he has been in the care home. He has been well looked after by the staff working in the home and has settled well into his new environment. It's a very friendly and welcoming care home.
My grandad has been in Ardenlea Grove Care Home for 4 weeks and loves being around people, always getting involved in the range of activities daily and as a family, seen glimpses of the man who was cheeky and always dancing! The staff and facilities are amazing and so friendly.
Mom has been in Ardenlea Grove since October and is extremely comfortable, the staff are amazing with her and all other residents. Very friendly, warm and welcoming on each arrival. Helpful with all aspects of Mom's care plan and available to help with any questions you may have whilst your loved one is here. Couldn't of wished for better care for my Mom.
The family have always been very pleased at the care and compassion the staff have given to my husband and seem genuine in their support for all the family. Although my husband is now unable to speak, he can convey his feelings and would have made it known if he was unhappy with any aspect of his care.
My mother has resided in Ardenlea Grove Care Home for nearly two years. Mother has always been very happy and has been looked after exceptionally well. The staff and medical staff are always carrying out their job 100% and I'm happy with their care. I would like to mention especially one of the nurses who really cares for the residents and one of the carers who is also a caring and sympathetic person I would wish to look after my mother.
My nan has been here just under one year and it is lovely to see how the staff know her and have built a rapport with her. She is well cared for and looked after. One carer has been incredible and shows high levels of care towards my nan and has truly taken the time to get to know her. The room could be kept slightly cleaner/tidier.
I have been visiting my neighbour for nearly three years in the care home. The care home is spotlessly clean, lovely en-suite room. When my neighbour first came to the care home she was very poorly but after a while, she has improved. The staff are friendly and professional, it does not feel like a care home at times.
The home is in need of a refurbishment, the furniture is fine and the rooms need to be made a little bit more homely. The staff are lovely, very caring and patient but feel there should be more to deal with the amount of residents. I also believe that the doctor should inform any visiting relatives of what health info they may need. There also need more car parking.
My mum-in-law has been in Ardenlea Grove Care Home for approximately 8 weeks in total. Her care has been extremely good and we are notified as a family of any important changes to her health and welfare. She is treated with dignity and is continually monitored for any health problems. She is now bedridden which isn't easy but everything possible is carried out to make her comfortable. Her room is bright and has her own bathroom, TV, large window, and armchair. She eats very little but drinks are always available plus nutritious drinks and yoghurt. There are organised activities for those able to participate. Visiting is from 10 am. We feel confident that mum is being well looked after which is the most important thing.
As a family, we are very pleased with Ardenlea Grove. The staff without exception have been excellent. They have always answered any queries or issues efficiently and listened to our concerns. The staff are always polite and cheerful and Mom receives excellent care here. She is treated with compassion, kindness, and respect, from the nursing staff down to the cleaners! Mom does have some issues with the food which she says is often only lukewarm. Also, the meal times are too condensed together with too long a gap from tea to breakfast the next morning.
Dad was only at Ardenlea Grove for 3 weeks before he passed away but throughout that time he received excellent care from all the staff. He was on end-of-life care and the staff made sure he had everything he needed. They were very supportive to us as a family, answering all our questions and supporting us through a difficult time.
The care Mom receives from the carers is excellent. They know exactly what Mom wants i.e. how she likes her pillows and not to cover her feet. The carers are genuinely happy and do care about the well-being and happiness of the residents. The only thing I could say anything negative about is sometimes the food is cold, although it is usually nice tasting and cooked well. Also Mom has mentioned when she is washed she is stripped naked. I think 1 half of the body should be covered when the other is being washed.
Father-in-law has been well cared for at Ardenlea for about six years now. Some very happy times have been had with the help of wonderful care staff. Parking can be a problem at times. Not always easy to get into building at weekends. Staff on Sapphire great!
Mum has only been here a short time but I feel safe leaving her. One member of staff in particular is outstanding and goes above and beyond.
We can't fault the care and attention our nan receives here. She is happy, cared for and safe. The staff go above and beyond for both of us and her.
My uncle has been here for some months and he tells me he is very happy here. It is a great place to stay and he is very happy here. The lady at the door is so lovely and friendly and helpful.
I visit a friend who became a resident last year after her husband died. I see her every 3/4 weeks and over the months have noticed that slowly she has settled in and seems happy now joining in many of the activities and making friends. As I am an active 87-year-old but have no family I may need to become a resident myself at somewhere like this so I find it interesting to see how things are run and I must say I am impressed.
The staff are friendly and helpful. The place is very clean. My brother seems happy.
My family were all so impressed with the level of care and dedication that every member of staff provided for our mother throughout her nine months at Ardenlea. I have never had any previous experience with any care homes but can honestly say the care, commitment and much-needed humour were exactly what my mother needed.
Our family has very much appreciated the help Ardenlea Grove Care Home has given us in caring for our seriously ill mother. We have found a high standard of nursing care which we had difficulty accessing in the community, to be readily available ar Ardenlea Grove, thereby ensuring Mum's comfort and dignity. All staff have been welcoming and continue to help in many different ways, whether with administrative matters, providing quick changes of the menu, helping Mum get more comfortable and even providing an in-room tea tray for the family to use, Mum is a great tea drinker! Staff get to know residents and their needs and it is pleasing that residents are cared for, largely by the same team, and that residents and their families get to know the staff in return. Ardenlea Grove is decorated and furnished to a high standard. Rooms look like those in a comfortable, family home. It is always warm and both the buildings and residents are immaculate. Any problems with the building or equipment are addressed quickly and efficiently by the on-site handyman, a welcome 'extra' we were not expecting.
