View Full Details of Swallows Meadow CourtMy mum was in Robin House for three weeks and then moved to Nightingale House as a permanent resident. All of the staff were absolutely amazing, super friendly, and clearly cared a great deal about their patients. They were also very welcoming to me as well and constantly asked if I would like a cup of tea when they made my mum one. I can now go back to America knowing my mum will be well looked after and in a great place.
I haven't had a lot of contact with many care homes but my husband was transferred from hospital to Swallows Meadow, Nightingale Ward in October 24 and I'm overwhelmed with the care given to my husband and myself. All staff from reception, cleaners, carers, and nurses went above and beyond to know were ok. The food is very good and the atmosphere welcoming and caring. Cannot praise enough.
I cannot speak highly enough of the care my Father received in the last few weeks of his life. From the team leader of Robin Ward to all the nurses and care staff, everyone was 100% in caring towards my Dad, treating him with dignity and respect. The friendliness and attention to detail, caring also for my sister and myself, was faultless. Such a lovely team, each and every one, and is comforting to know that my Dad had this experience at the end of his life. It was a restful end to his life, made possible by such a professional team. Thank you!
Our father entered the Robin Ward initially attending therapy. It soon became apparent that he was near end of life. Every aspect of his care from entering was outstanding. He including my brother and myself were treated with kindness and dignity from beginning to end. Thank you to all the staff, you were amazing and the NHS are very lucky to have you all working for them.
Each and every member of the team could not have been any more kind, considerate and attentive. Not just to the service user but also visiting family.
As a nurse myself I was very nervous to see my dad go to a care home. I need not have worried when he came to Swallows Meadow. What can I say, this is the best home I have ever seen. From the minute you walk in spotless clean and fresh, credit to the housekeeping staff. The nurses and care staff are so kind and pleasant. Dad looks so comfortable and content. The physio/OT team are amazing and carefully plan Dad's rehab. The whole place is an example of how a person-centred home should be. Other care providers need to take note. The care here is effective and this is reflected in the safe care to the residents and good communication to relatives. I really thank all the team at Swallows Meadow. Robin unit special mention, keep up the good work.
My mum is currently at Swallows Meadow after being discharged from the hospital. The home is lovely, the receptionists are always welcoming and the home is always very clean and homely. The staff on Robin ward are absolutely outstanding and the care which my mum has received has been second to none. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Staff are always engaging with residents getting them up and moving or sitting in the lounge playing games with them. Robin Ward is extremely well managed and the Ward Manager is a credit to the home. She always goes above and beyond. All the care staff are so lovely and kind to my mum and she is extremely fond of them. The domestic staff do a wonderful job of keeping the home nice and clean and are always working hard. It has also been lovely that the domestic staff engage with my mum and have commented on how much progress she has made, which is all thanks to her time on Robin. We really can't thank the staff on Robin enough.
Our mum came to Swallows Meadow to an NHS assessment bed following a severe stroke. The care that she has received has been absolutely second to none and the staff have made us feel like family. The Robin unit is extremely well led and all the patients appear happy and very well cared for. The therapy/care workers are always getting people moving and doing activities. The home itself is incredibly clean with no odour and the domestic staff do a fantastic job of keeping the rooms nice for the patients. Even the little things like a freshly made bed, it makes all the difference. Seeing our mum smile again after everything she's been through and to see how far she's come over the last few weeks really is a testament to the hard work that the Unit Manager and the fantastic team do. From the nurses, therapy staff, care staff, kitchen staff, domestic staff, the friendly ladies on reception and anybody else we may have missed we thank you all! Oh, and we love the ducks in the garden! Can't forget them!
I came to Swallows Meadow Court following treatment for an injury by two hospitals. The care and support I received was first-class. All the staff were polite, helpful and courteous, nothing was too much trouble, they also assisted my partner in helping me in various ways.
I was a resident for 9 weeks, excellent staff and very supportive. The manager of Robin was very helpful and supportive. Would recommend. They cater for every need, with good food, and 24-hour care and nothing is too much trouble. Thanks to all the staff at Robin House, keep up the good work. Swallows Meadow Court is great.
My husband spent time following hospital treatment, he has now returned to hospital for continued treatment ahead of a planned operation. All the staff did what they could for him and he was as comfortable as possible with a challenging and changing condition.
I was transferred to Swallows Meadow for a few days in a rehabilitation hospital. The first difference was in the quality of food. At the rehabilitation hospital it was 5/10 but at Swallows Meadow it was 9/10. The number of qualified nurses was good and their assistance were numerous.
I recently spent a month there after leaving hospital, with cancer and recovering from leg surgery. The staff were all excellent and I could not fault the care or facilities. I received daily physio to help my recovery. Highly recommended.
From the day my mom arrived at Swallows Meadow, she has been treated with the utmost care, compassion and dignity, as have we all as family members. Nothing has been too much trouble, and I have been kept up to date with Mom's condition and treatment on an hourly/daily basis, which is such a comfort when dealing with such trying and emotional times. From all staff on Robin Suite, you are always welcomed with happy smiles. I would say to anyone whose loved one is entering Swallos Meadow, they are in the best of hands in every way. Thanks are nowhere near enough!
What a lovely, caring environment for my lovely mum to go to after a prolonged stay in hospital recently. She has received fabulous care from all the staff at Swallows Meadow, and it is a pleasure to visit. I would happily recommend this care home to everyone.
My mother arrived at Swallows Meadow Court following an operation and four weeks in hospital. She was completely shattered and disorientated. When I arrived, she was sitting up on her comfy bed drinking tea from a beaker she could hold for herself, i.e. one with a handle on each side. My heart melted as two beautiful members of staff were looking after her and putting her clothes away in the wardrobe. My mum was regularly put to bed for a much-needed afternoon nap. I soon realised over the following days and weeks that the level of attentive care so willingly provided by a delightful team of care staff Each resident is treated as an individual and is given the highest level of care we have come across. Should any changes be noticed in a resident’s health or behaviour, it is duly recorded and regularly monitored by a qualified nursing team. The care team will always keep you informed of your loved ones' condition.
Clash between night and day staff regarding washing patients, hence washing at 5:30 am! Personally, mealtimes far too early. Selection of meals quite good. Hospital taxi late for appointment for return home.
Dad has been at Swallow's Meadow (Robin House) for several months and we cannot thank them enough. His care has been excellent and all of the staff are friendly and approachable and genuinely care for their patients. The staff make the time to speak with the families and get to understand their concerns, which gives you a sense of security and trust in leaving your loved one in their care. The entire place is spotlessly clean and the quality of the food has been very good.
Staff and management were excellent, very accommodating and professional. Meadow Court was clean, secure and friendly. Mum was cared for very well during her stay. Physio worked wonders with Mum's hip, getting her walking with aids in days. In summary, highly recommended. Great job to all involved.
My mom moved in in June 2023, bed-bound - awful for her. What a fantastic place Swallows Meadow is. What a fantastic team you all are. All the activities team are great - lots going on all the time. Christmas has been fab too. Food great too.
