View Full Details of Astley Hall Care HomeMy wife has been a resident at Astley Hall for nearly five years and in all that time I've witnessed compassion dignity and dedication from all the staff. I visit my wife three or 4 times a week there is always a drink on her table the staff regularly pop into her room to check on her well-being. There are activities in the lounge if my wife doesn't want to participate a member of staff comes to her room for a chat and a singalong or a pampering session. There is a lovely atmosphere the staff are always willing to answer any questions. The food is very good and the staff are always cleaning. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Astley Hall to anyone whose loved one needs the care that my wife receives. I can't thank you enough.
Astley Hall Care home is brilliant. It is located in a pleasant country area surrounded by a lovely garden. I visited my sister earlier this month to bring Christmas presents and check on her well-being. I visit as often as I can, living some distance away in London. I sense that my sister is in the best place possible, given her condition. What I do witness and see, also through being in constant contact with her husband who visits her regularly, is just how good the staff care is there! They appear kind, assertive and very professional. When they enter my sister's room she lights up at their presence. The food is very good and the atmosphere feels friendly. I would like to thank the staff for going that extra mile and making me feel that Astley Hall is the right place for my dear sister to be. Thank you so much!
I wrote a review last year shortly after my friend arrived at Astley Hall. I was very impressed with all aspects of the home immediately and even more so since having visited more regularly over the past 12 months. The care and support given are superb. Gardens and hobbies are encouraged, new friendships being made is a joy to see. Thank you for making a difference.
Transferring a loved one to a care home is a pretty stressful time, but we, including Mum, have actively enjoyed the experience that the manager and her team have facilitated. All the staff are so kind and caring and smiles are never in short supply. Mum is also enjoying finding her appetite again, what wonderful food. It is clear everyone is invested and enjoys their work, thank you.
My wife has been a resident at Astley Hall for nearly 4 years and has received wonderful care during this period. The staff are dedicated and extremely attentive which gives me a great deal of reassurance during what is a difficult time for both of us. I cannot recommend the Home highly enough.
The setting and staff are excellent. Our father seems happy and extremely well cared for. Not only do they provide a stimulating, comfortable and caring environment for him, they also make it easier for all of us. As such we could not recommend strongly enough, or imagine a better place for him.
Our father has been staying at Astley Hall for about 3 years. He had to be moved from his previous residence as he had a number of behavioural issues. Since being at Astley Hall, he has settled down and appears very happy. Both the environment and the care he receives are excellent. The staff are exceptional and our father and ourselves would be devastated if he had to move.
Astley is a nice home out in the country where the clients are well looked after. All staff are very welcoming and friendly, from the day nurses to the admin officer and entertainments lady. The views in the back garden are spectacular and the clients do use this space whenever the weather permits.
My mum was a resident at Astley, she loved it, the care she got was second to none, the staff are wonderful, so caring, nothing was too much trouble. It was always clean and fresh and the staff were very professional but also made you feel so comfortable with them, I thank them all for the wonderful care Mum had at Astley Hall.
My mother needed a high degree of personal care including assisted feeding, cleaning and personal care. Every time I visited her she was happy, enjoyed the provided activities and never appeared distressed. The attentiveness of the staff was exemplary even when it was obvious they were under pressure. The nurses present when she passed away were amazing with one staying over 3 hours beyond her shift end to help my mother.
Enjoyed the location and room. The staff were accommodating and helpful, making my short stay pleasurable.
My mum was only in Astley Hall for a short period of time. From the first contact with the manager and all the staff, nothing was too much trouble. She received such kind, supportive care. They attended to her every need and in the last few days of her life she was made so comfortable. All the members of the family were kindly and warmly welcomed and spent as much time with her as needed. Helping us and giving us listening, caring support. I would very much recommend Astley Hall, with its high standard of staff and supportive care.
We were concerned about using respite care for Mum, however, there was no need. My mum was very content and happy throughout her stay. The standard of care was excellent, staff were outstanding. Couldn't have asked for better.
My mum was in Astley Hall for a short time. The care she was given was just the best, from the manager to the staff. As well as making my mum's last few days comfortable and attending to her needs, they made sure all our family were supported. I highly recommend Astley Hall nursing home.
Astley Hall Care Home was the right place for my father to be in for his last two weeks of life. The setting is beautiful. The staff are caring and the nursing care was just what he needed. His death was treated with the utmost dignity and respect and we shall be forever grateful for the kindness shown to us at a dreadfully sad time. He could not have had a better death.
I visited my husband's aunt at Astley Hall on 27.02.22. I felt apprehensive as I always find these places depressing and smell funny. I was so impressed with the care, facilities, ambience, sunny aspect, even a hotel feel to Astley Hall. I actually enjoyed the visit. It's sad for our aunt's health but couldn't be happier where she is and it makes all the difference knowing her environment is so lovely. Beautiful, thoughtful room too, pretty wallpaper and curtains. Great job to the staff.
The organisation was efficient, helpful, attentive and considerate. The manager clearly has an excellent relationship with his staff, which makes for a very good atmosphere. The location was excellent and beautiful. My mother enjoyed the views and listening to the birds singing. The rural setting was very peaceful but still easy to access by car. The care, professionalism, attitude and interest of the care staff was absolutely brilliant. Without exception, they all put heart and soul into looking after the residents. I would highly recommend Astley Hall Care Home.
My mother required nursing care following a fall at home and treatment at A&E. Astley Hall managed to accommodate my mother immediately, providing all of her care requirements. The staff were very helpful and professional with all of the arrangements. This was reassuring at a difficult time. My mother was very content at Astley Hall, she was welcomed immediately into the 'happy ambiance' and made some new friends. The care provided by all of the staff is greatly appreciated.
The management and team at Astley Hall are incredibly kind and full of personality. My personal experience with management has been amazing. They have made both of my grandparents time at Astley Hall some of the best they have experienced in recent years.
Dad was only at Astley Hall for the final 5 weeks of his life, unfortunately. He had been in hospital prior to this, where his health deteriorated, becoming very frail and requiring considerable care and support. The Team at Astley Hall were wonderful, managing all of Dad's needs and always making time to talk to the family – quite the opposite to our experience with the hospital system, where talking to someone was a real challenge. We truly appreciate the love, support and care given to Dad during his time at Astley Hall. The Team did a wonderful job during these difficult and challenging times – thank you.
