View Full Details of Brookdale Nursing HomeFirst visit to my friend, the staff were very friendly. The building certainly needs improvement as regards decorating, both regards rooms and outside. Was surprised to see the use of frozen vegetables and tinned cocktail fruit. my friend's room was clean and tidy and she seems very happy. The staff checked on my friend while I was there and offered me a drink and were very responsive to my questions. Didn't see a manager but seems like a well-run home.
Staff and management are always helpful and friendly. Food looks appetising and fresh. Homely feel.
Staff are always so welcoming and seem to have a good relationship with my stepfather. Any questions are answered by the manager who is always available. Food seems to be well varied and enjoyed by the residents and can be flexible which is great. I am very pleased with the care my stepfather receives and the cleanliness of the home, it really does feel homely and warm. I would definitely recommend.
Cannot fault the staff and the care my husband has received since April 2023. Such a friendly, caring team. The home itself is a true home from home. Excellent freshly prepared meals, as well as always making sure my husband's room is clean. What a well-run care home. Thank you for all you do.
The staff are wonderful and caring. The building and some rooms are in need of decoration and are not luxurious at all, but for 'end of life' care the most important part is the staff and they rate very highly. I would use this nursing home if a similar situation arose. I was pleased with our choice, due to the good care they took looking after our relative.
If you’re looking for a placement for a loved one this is a very good option. The staff certainly seem very committed and show care, warmth and humour appropriately. They took my brother and his wife in an emergency situation. We feel fortunate that they are somewhere being so well cared for.
From the moment I entered Brookdale Nursing Home I felt such warmth from the staff. My aunt was only there a short time and passed away in the home. The nursing staff were wonderful, very caring with such empathy and respect as my aunt came to end of life. Thank you so much.
My experience with Brookdale has been extremely positive. When my mother arrived after a stay in hospital, she had declined a lot and it didn't look like she would be with us for long. However, after the professional care of 100% from the staff, she has improved, virtually to the condition she was in before she became ill (at another care home). The staff are all extremely friendly and there is a great atmosphere in the home. I feel that this greatly affects the well-being of the residents. When my mum has become ill, it has been spotted and rectified immediately. I have a feeling this was not done in the previous care home and why she ended up in hospital.
Thank you for taking such fantastic care of my dad and us. We always felt so supported by all of you. The jobs that you all do are so so stressful but so important. As yet, everyone that we met showed us so much love, kindness and patience. You are all brilliant at your jobs, but more than that you are wonderful human beings. Brookdale has such a warm future that comes from the top and permeates everyone in the team. You have made the toughest time of our lives that much more bearable because of the way we can look back at how you were there for all of us. Thank you.
My father went to Brookdale in November 2022. We are so glad we chose for him to be there. The staff are caring, supportive and helpful, nothing was ever too much trouble. Not only looking after him but also making sure myself and our family were always made comfortable and looked after and made welcome. We couldn't have asked for more. My father passed away and once again, the end-of-life nurse was there with comfort and support until the end, as were other members of staff. Thank you to all.
My dad has been in the nursing home a few days and the care he has been given is amazing. All the staff are so lovely. Thanks for making his transition so easy and thanks for welcoming the family too.
My mom has been a resident at Brookdale since July 2022 and we are extremely happy with the care provided. All staff are very caring, kind, helpful and friendly. A lovely, welcoming atmosphere and a very inclusive environment.
Very good in all respects. Excellent staff. Very caring and helpful. Cannot fault.
I cannot praise Brookdale Nursing Home highly enough. The care of all the staff, the home was always clean, food good. I would recommend to anybody.
Nan arrived at Brookdale on the 13th of April 2022, from Oxford for end-of-life care and to be closer to family that live in Kidderminster. The care Nan received from all staff has been brilliant and a support to the family. Nothing has been too much trouble for the staff to cater for Nan's needs. Sadly, we lost Nan on the 17th of May 2022, but so pleased we were able to be with her for her final days. I would recommend Brookdale to friends and family.
Sadly Dad was only at Brookdale for two months before he passed away. From the moment he arrived, to the morning he passed, he was treated with dignity and respect. All the staff were wonderful and Dad quickly settled in. He took part in the activities and made new friends. Nothing was too much trouble and he often told me how much he liked living at Brookdale. Dad went from someone who lived alone, struggled to manage his diabetes and was lonely, to someone who flourished for the last two months of his life. Thank you, Brookdale, for your care.
My mother was a resident at Brookdale for a few years until just short of her 102nd birthday. She was given excellent care throughout. The staff was both friendly and attentive to her needs. Any concerns were quickly reported to me and I always felt I was being kept in the loop. Meals were of a high standard and she always seemed to enjoy them. Mom was very reluctant to go into care initially, but I always felt once settled, she was happy and comfortable. I will always be grateful for the standard of care she was given and will happily recommend Brookdale to anyone seeking the best care for their loved one.
My mother was admitted on a 4-6 weeks assessment back in November last year, and I'm happy to say is still there. During her assessment, I had the opportunity to look at other care providers within the area, but it soon became obvious how Brookdale's staff/management and the homely atmosphere within the building was so so different from others we viewed. In my opinion, kitchen staff excellent/domestic staff excellent /care staff excellent /nursing professionals excellent /manager excellent. Communication from the staff to myself is also excellent. As an ex-nurse myself one of the most important parts of any care home is the quality of the food at Brookdale, the food provided is probably the best I have seen in my time as a nurse. Well done everyone and thanks for taking care of my mother.
The management and staff are very thorough in caring and looking after the patients in the nursing home. The meals are well prepared and edible. The accommodation is well administered and cared for by the domestic staff. There is a slight problem with the wheelchairs. There could be better cleanliness on some of the chairs and closer inspection to the working parts. There also seems to be a shortage of cushions for seating on the chairs, possibly each chair should have their own cushion.
My aunt is well cared for and I'm always notified of any problems/issues by the staff.
