My mom came into The Lawns in November 2024 due to failing sight. The home and staff have bent over backwards to accommodate Mom's issues as she also has a complication called Charles Bonnett Syndrome. After 3 room moves we got a room that is perfect for Mom. All the staff, including housekeepers and catering have learnt about Mom's issues so they can support her better. I couldn't ask for better for Mom.
We were lucky enough to have Mum transferred to The Lawns from the hospital, where she had been for 2 weeks in a tiny room. She was told there was nothing that could be done to cure her. And she was end of life. From the moment Mum went to The Lawns, she looked so much more comfortable. Her room was bright and cheerful, clean and tidy. Mum was treated wonderfully. All the staff showed so much care and attention to Mum, giving me and my siblings a relief knowing when we left Mum she was so well cared for. Mum was very aware of what was happening and what was going to happen. Mum was kept clean and fresh and every bit of dignity was given to her. Mum was treated with so much care and compassion, right to the end. Can't thank the manager and her wonderful staff enough, as they helped us through saying goodbye to our Mum a little easier.
My 91 year old dad went into respite at The Lawns, 2 weeks ago after being fast tracked through due to another chest infection and being diagnosed as end of life. From day 1, The Lawns have provided the most incredible care and attention to dads needs. After being bed bound at home for 14 months, he has been able to sit in a chair with the other residents, have a shower instead of bed bath, eat meals at the dining room table and have amazing social interaction from the team of staff and residents. His room is like a hotel room. Beautifully furnished for his personal belongings, TV on the wall and everything he could possibly need. The lawns is professionally and carefully run and the team led by Mel are incredible. I havn't seen dad so happy and content for a long time and its all due to his care received by this amazing Nursing Home. Thank you.
I am relieved and very grateful that my husband is cared for in The Lawns. He is well looked after by both nurses, carers and all the staff. We both appreciate the effort that goes into all the events to give the residents entertainment.
Recently had a bereavement with the friend that I visited on a regular basis. The Lawns communicated that my friend had sadly deteriorated. On visiting she was very comfortable, pain-free and treated with the greatest dignity. I too was cared for by staff - asked if I wished for drinks or anything else. Cannot fault the staff for all their kindness and support.
My father entered The Lawns for "end of life care". The quality of the care he received from all of the staff on the nursing floor was amazing. My father was bedridden which limited what he was able to do. However, the home offered person-centered care and the staff spent time talking to him about his passions. He was always treated with kindness and he experienced a dignified and respectful end to his long life.
The care and support offered to my relative was kind, compassionate and caring. They were well aware of Mum's needs and wishes, and always ensured her voice was heard. Staff were excellent in anticipating needs and there was a very varied activity programme that was always very good humoured and creative. Mum very much enjoyed her stay there.
After nearly 2 years living in The Lawns my mum sadly passed away 11 days ago. The care and loving she received during her time there was second to none with attention to detail by each and every team. The emotions when your loved one passes are extreme and the process itself tough, The Lawns made this as easy as possible. They treated Mum as a person and dealt with her in a dignified, respectful, caring and kindly manner and looked after my sister and I throughout what was a very difficult day allowing us time to be with Mum and helping wherever they could. The care home manager has kept in regular touch ever since helping us with arrangements, registering Mum's death on our behalf and answering every question we have had. Thank you so much all of you for everything you have done for Mum and for us over the past few years we really felt part of the Lawns family. This is a wonderful place to spend your final years.
I am most grateful for the love, care and attention my wife received during her two-year stay. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The staff in particular show great kindness. It was notable that I was always greeted by name whenever I visited. This is a large enterprise but it is run like a family unit.
Professional caring and highly competent. They absolutely know what they are doing and are good at it. Well run and has a very team-driven atmosphere. Always willing to answer questions. Very peaceful environment for those who need that, with a hive of activity for those who want and are able to get involved in the many activities offered. They have been extremely caring of my mother, treating her with kindness, respect, and dignity. I particularly like the computer-based reporting system that can be remotely accessed for updates on the resident.
My Cousin for whom I have POA has been a Resident at The Lawns for over four years. Throughout that time she has been cared for well and her health issues are handled with dexterity and proficiency. I live over 200 miles from Kempsey but have confidence that she is in safe hands. When visiting we have been met with courteous and friendly staff, who go about the building and duties in a professional and dedicated way. My cousin considers The Lawns to be her home and I am happy that she is a resident there.
My father has been at the care home for 17 months. Has received excellent care. Facilities and staff are first class. His room meets all his needs. Staff go out of their way to help and cannot be faulted. Thank you.
Great home, lovely warm feel with great caring staff and nothing is 'too much trouble'. The manager is always available and very helpful and supportive of both my resident father and also my aged mother who still lives at home.
The effort put into the entertainment for the residents is outstanding. Over and above the necessary good and friendly care. I am impressed with the dedication of the team to keep the resident's minds alive and working.
The Lawns provides a safe, happy place for my mother to live in. The care from all members of staff is outstanding, no faults whatsoever. The management team works hard with their colleagues and is always around and available if you need them. Whilst our loved ones don't want to be in a care home, I am able to relax in the knowledge that I have chosen the right home for her to live in. Meals are very good, medication is monitored and administered accurately, and activities are varied and seasonal. Families can be involved if they wish to do so. The rooms are spacious, well-furnished and clean. The online portal scheme is so helpful and any messages through this system are answered in a timely manner, with relevant action taken if necessary. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Lawns.
Excellent care given to my sister-in-law who is on palliative care. When she was admitted to The Lawns, she wasn't eating at all and had lost a considerable amount of weight. Since being in the wonderful care of the nurses and carers at the home, she is eating and drinking well and now putting on weight, which is fantastic. The care she receives is excellent, and I would have no hesitation in recommending this home for respite, residential or palliative care. Well done.
This is the care home where you'd want your loved one to live. All the staff are lovely, friendly and professional. They go over and above to look after the residents, seeking their feedback and making little improvements on an individual basis to improve the quality of life. The activities are varied and engaging and the special events make all the difference to the residents - the lifestyle team are amazing.
Mum has, within the past few months, had to be moved upstairs to the nursing floor of The Lawns due to the gradual deterioration of her health. It was difficult for me to accept this change, however, the staff on the nursing floor are absolutely amazing. Mum has settled down well despite becoming more and more reliant on the staff for her everyday needs. The standard of care is excellent, and the staff are just beyond amazing for their warmth, care and how much they do for each and every resident. I come away from seeing Mum knowing that she is in excellent hands and being cared for with kindness, and I want to thank each and every member of staff for what they do, every single day.
The Lawns care home is run by a superbly organised, professional and dedicated manager as well as staff. My cousin has been delighted to live there and made many friends over the last three years. She has enjoyed taking part in varied activities offered on a daily basis. The accommodation and general living areas are superb and spotless. As relatives and friends paying a visit, we are always welcomed and delighted to see us. I can highly recommend it.

From her arrival, she was welcomed by all the staff and settled much better than I was expecting. It is such a warm and friendly home where nothing seems too much trouble. She has become more sociable than I've seen her in many years, all thanks to the fantastic staff. I no longer have to worry about her being on her own at home, home is now The Lawns, and we could not have found anywhere better for her.
