View Full Details of Rashwood Care HomeRashwood Care Home is a very friendly and high quality home. From our first contact with the home until the day my mother returned to her own home we were always made very welcome by all the staff, in whatever capacity they were working. Nothing is too much trouble whether you are a resident or a visitor. The standard of care is high including the nursing care an the friendliness is genuine. Thank you to all the staff who made my mother's stay so enjoyable, I'm sorry that I can't remember all of your names.
My mother was discharged from hospital to Rashwood for end-of-life care back in March 2024. She was very poorly when she was admitted. Due to the love and care that Mom has received at Rashwood she has clearly thrived and is very happy where she is. Rashwood offers many activities to residents which is fantastic for interaction with others. The gardens are beautiful so during decent weather it's lovely to walk around the grounds and appreciate how well they are kept. All of the staff are very caring and there is nothing that is ever too much trouble to ask for. I would highly recommend Rashwood to anyone looking for a nursing/care home for their loved one.
My mom and dad are residents at Rashwood. There is a lovely friendly atmosphere at all times. They both receive excellent care. The entertainment team does an excellent job of arranging activities and they both enjoy their meals. I would highly recommend Rashwood Care Home.
An outstanding care home in every way, but particularly on account of the quality of care provided. I cannot recommend Rashwood highly enough and I have had experience of many care homes within the Worcestershire region.
Two weeks ago my mom was diagnosed in hospital with a totally unexpected illness and we rapidly had to find somewhere as local as possible that would offer her the best possible end-of-life care for the very short time she had left. Rashwood fitted the bill 100%. From the minute we stepped through the door to view its suitability to the few days later when we left after Mom sadly passed away we were all treated with the utmost care, respect and compassion. Every single member of staff was kind and supportive with nothing too much trouble. My brother, my husband and I stayed with Mom for most of the four days she was there, taking advantage of the offer of their visitor's accommodation to take turns to get a couple of hours sleep. Everything was made as easy as possible for us to be with our mom. Sadly, she didn't have the privilege of accessing the wonderful, immaculate gardens or the facilities offered to other more able residents but what she did receive could not have been better.
The carers are so lovely and do their utmost to help my nan. Her health as well as her mental health has come so far since being here and it’s all down to those guys. They really do everything they can to help!
My father moved into Rashwood Care Home in November last year. He is settling in really well. The staff are lovely. They are very caring and take into consideration Dad's likes and dislikes. Any problems are dealt with quickly and efficiently. The home is always kept clean and his room is bright and airy with a lovely view over the garden and countryside. The activities that are laid on are many and varied- thanks to three staff members. Visitors are always made to feel welcome. The manager and the management team are approachable and great to deal with, answering queries and solving problems. Overall we are very happy with this lovely home and Dad's care. I would definitely recommend Rashwood Care Home.
My husband has been at Rashwood since the beginning of October 2023. He settled very quickly and declared he was happy and contented and there were some very "nice" staff. He is confined to bed and so cannot benefit much from the interesting programme of activities. He has valued visits from the Vicar. All the staff have been friendly to family and friends and we have felt welcome. I regret that there are not more opportunities for my husband to be moved to a chair or even other parts of the building.
Both my parents were residents at Rashwood for several years, my mother is still a resident and feels very much at home there. We live in Scotland so it is a great comfort to know our loved one is happy and so well looked after. I couldn't speak more highly of the staff, activities and food. Every effort is made to accommodate the needs of the individual. In summary, I would hope to have a 'Rashwood' myself if it ever became necessary!
My mother has been a resident at Rashwood since December 2019 following a stroke resulting in weakness on one side and severe speech impairment. The nursing staff and carers have always treated her with love, care, dignity and respect. In return, she displays a great fondness towards them. She has been bed-bound for a while now, resulting in finding it difficult to socialise with other residents or partake in group activities, but she has enjoyed a visit to a local playgroup and does have one-to-one sessions in her room. She has also been taken for walks around the gardens with members of the social team. Mum celebrated her 100th birthday last February and the staff went out of their way to make the day special and memorable for her and the wider family. Everyone at Rashwood is friendly and welcoming towards all visitors and family members. You’re made to feel as though you and your loved one are part of a wider family and it is much appreciated.
My mum was looked after very well when she went in for palliative care all the staff were first class. Food was a good choice and presented very well the carers were very considerate and caring and the final day was very respectful all the the staff lined up for Mum's exit, lovely gesture.
Nothing but praise for every aspect of my mother’s care. She is happy and content and enjoys the company of other residents and staff. The atmosphere for visiting family is always friendly and we feel like we are welcome whenever we visit.
My experience now is of two patients and their care for both of a high standard. Staff are friendly, helpful, kind and caring. Rashwood to the best of my knowledge has always had a high standard. As a visitor, I have always been treated with a welcome, smile and respect.
My mother has been a resident at Rashwood Care Home since February 2021. The kindness, care and courtesy shown to Mum during her time there has been amazing. Mum said she felt safe at Rashwood. The home is always fresh, clean, beautifully presented and very welcoming to visitors. However, when it came to Mum's recent end-of-life care, Rashwood came into a league of its own! The care and professionalism were exemplary and this extended to the care and consideration given to my sister and myself too. Thank you to absolutely everyone on the staff at Rashwood and also to visiting staff too, especially the reverend. Rashwood is a very special place, long may it continue to provide such exemplary care and service.
We were met with such kindness and compassion at Rashwood. The staff looked after us so well. My husband's needs were dealt with with dignity and care.
Mum was at Rashwood Care Home for only two weeks for her end of life care. I can truly say her care was nothing but amazing and the staff were wonderful, not only to Mum, but to us as a family. Their care and attention was second to none. Thank you Rashwood.
My mum was at end of life and spent her last 2 weeks at Rashwood Care Home and I couldn’t fault the care and attention that my mum received during that time. The nurses and carers were amazing and couldn’t do enough not just for my mum but also for us as a family. “Thank you” Rashwood care team and management, you are all amazing.
Mum came into Rashwood Care Home initially for respite and decided to stay. It was a difficult decision for her, and she often rejected help, but staff were always patient and attentive and she knew how lucky she was to be provided with both beautiful surroundings and such high quality care. Since September 2022, when she became bedridden through illness and required both oxygen and nursing on the Pink Wing, its staff were dedicated to providing for her needs and carers would often try her with several breakfast choices as her appetite declined for example, while those who had known her from Green wing would chat with her on their own time. Moreover, they have been so supportive of Mum’s family too and I cannot thank them enough. In her last weeks they kept us connected and I’m certain that Mum lived as long as she did because of the meticulous standards of their care. They knew her and appreciated her for all her feistiness - for which I am very grateful.
My mother was a resident in Rashwood Care Home for nearly 5 years. I cannot speak more highly of the care and compassion she received in this time. The staff from the manager down to the wonderful carers was the best she could have had in a 5-star hotel. We felt she was safe and extremely well cared for. We could not speak more highly of the care she received.
The care home looked after my aunt extremely well. The hygiene was excellent, and the cuisine was first class too. All the staff were caring, friendly and professional. Alarm calls were answered very promptly. The surroundings are beautiful. Residents are able to feed the birds and watch the wildlife as well as admire the peacocks, so tame they would eat from your hand.
