View Full Details of Red HillMy mother has been a resident at Red Hill care centre for six months and since the day she moved in, I have been impressed with the level of care and support both my mother and I have received. I have found the management team to be straightforward, efficient and extremely responsive to requests I have made and the team at Red Hill are all very kind hard working and professional. Mum is treated with dignity. She is encouraged to be as independent as she is able to be and is allowed to make her own decisions regarding her care where this is possible. I feel extremely pleased to have mum settled at Red Hill.
This is a very caring and homely facility. All the staff are friendly and welcoming, it does feel like home from home. On the downside, the bedrooms/en-suites are beginning to look very very dated and tired.
The staff are almost always cheerful and patient even under the most trying circumstances and respond quickly to any requests for assistance. They always address the residents by name and interact pleasantly with them.
We had a wonderful party for my mum's 70th. The care staff were so helpful and made us some lovely sandwiches and a super buffet. Mum loves her time at Red Hill. They know her so well and take care of all of her needs. The staff are friendly and attentive to her and always polite and helpful when we are visiting. Mum also gets the opportunity to get involved in various activities. She loves all of the arts and crafts but singing and listening to music is her favourite.
Couldn't be happier with my grandmother's placement at Red Hill. Every time I visit she seems happy and content. Her room is well-kept and tidy and the bed is always made. The staff are welcoming and friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. The staff are responsive to any questions I may have. The communal areas are clean and well-lit, and the facilities are great. Plenty of activities that my Grandma enjoys being part of. All in all would highly recommend Red Hill. Thank you for all you do.
I feel so fortunate to have got my Mum into Red Hill. All the staff are so friendly. The care she has received has been excellent. At the very end of her life, the staff were all so loving and caring to her and also to me. They made a very difficult experience as good as it could possibly be. Mum has also made some good friendships with other residents whilst she has been at Red Hill. I have felt so reassured to know she is being looked after so well and that if the staff are concerned about her they will contact me. This has been an invaluable part of the care for me, as I live in Yorkshire and am an only child. Honestly, the support and care offered has been exceptional. Thank you.
Have always found the staff to be very helpful and is reassuring to know that the safety of my mum is always a priority. I have no concerns at all about her well-being as mum has settled in very well and generally is very happy.
My mom has been here since August for residential care. She has settled in quite well and quickly. She has dementia so change hasn't always been good. She's always happy and relaxed. Staff are always caring happy and helpful. Nothing is a problem for them and I know she is safe. They look after all her needs and so that helps all the family know she is safe and secure. I thank you all.
The staff and care are faultless. It is very difficult to make friends so I feel quite lonely at times.
The staff were excellent, being caring, compassionate and thoughtful to my mother and some of the staff were beyond exceptional. Too many names to mention. I shall miss seeing them.
Very friendly and helpful staff, clean environment, very good facilities. Always willing to alter room contents to suit personal and seasonal changes. Many one-to-one activities are ongoing. Singers and entertainers visit regularly.
My father was happy staying here. He joined in activities and danced in a wheelchair. As a family, we were informed about activities and care plans. Meetings were good. Staff great and caring. Helped to have nurses on site. Great dining facilities, Dad liked sitting at a table to eat meals. Lounge - good space where everyone sat together. Bedroom - comfortable bed. Friendly, helpful, caring staff.
My aunt came to Red Hill in 2023 for an assessment under CHC, when the assessment ended I looked at other care homes but advised my aunt that overall Red Hill was the best. She is settled, well cared for, likes the staff and regards this as her home.
My father-in-law was in Redhill Nursing Home for 15 months. He absolutely loved his time there, he always said that the staff were excellent & very caring. We as a family also found that he was well looked after, he always looked well cared for, clean clothes & the staff always made sure that he looked well groomed. His complex medical needs were always dealt with very well. He never lost any items of clothing & when his washing was returned to him it was beautifully clean & whites were still lovely & white. My father-in-law was not a big eater but when food was served to him, it always looked very nice, the menu was not very varied, however, you could always request something that hadn't been put on the menu & the kitchen staff would be more than happy to oblige. The staff went out of their way to make sure he was happy at all times. We would definitely recommend Redhill Nursing Home.
My mum moved to Red Hill in April 2024. She passed away at Redhill in June 2024. Although she was only there a short time, first in the Sapphire Unit and then in Emerald, she was so well cared for. The staff were very focused on delivering the best care for Mum. She received end-of-life care and passed peacefully with family surrounding her - the manager leads a well-motivated team.
Mum was only at Red Hill for a couple of months but we were so grateful to the staff who were always so kind and caring during mum's last days.
Staff went over and above to care for my mother, who, after being a resident from May on nursing care, was eventually on end-of-life/palliative care. Kindness and respect were given to Mum in her relatively short time with the care home.
My mum has recently been very poorly with a chest infection and various other elements. The nursing care she has been given at Redhill as a family, we cannot fault. The decision was taken by the Nurse that Mum should go to hospital which was the right decision to take. Mum has improved now, but her first words while in hospital were 'I just want to go home, I want to be back where I know I will be looked after'. Mum didn't mean her old house, she meant Redhill. We are all so pleased that she is now referring to Redhill as her home. It's been quite a journey for the whole family, especially Mum to move to Redhill but it has turned out to be the best thing for Mum. She has her life back, more importantly made some lovely friends. The main thing here is that when she is poorly, the family do not have to worry about the care she will get and how well looked after she is, we know she is getting the best care and that is such a relief for us. Well done Redhill, you are brilliant.
During my Father's time at the home, he received good quality care and had begun to think of the home as 'home'. The staff were always friendly and helpful. Whilst Dad did not often engage in activities staff made concerted efforts to include him and find out what interested him. The nursing care was very good, and we were very appreciative of their patience and kindness.
What a lovely home, who cared for my grandad so wonderfully. Care was outstanding right from the start until the very end. A special thanks to two members of staff in particular who were truly amazing right until the very end. Not all heroes wear capes. You’re worth your weight in gold each and every one of you. A huge thank you to the home manager who was truly amazing throughout keeping in contact with the family.
