View Full Details of Yew Tree Nursing HomeStaff have been very kind to my grandmother as well as the family when we visited. Nursing staff provided good care to my nan when she needed it, to the time of her passing. Nan was clean, well-fed and cared for in a caring environment. Our concerns were considered, when raised - though we had to raise them a few times. My future suggestions would be to have awareness of religious and cultural ideas which need to be considered around care, especially end of life. Maybe have a discussion around this when resident is admitted.
My mom spent the last 3 months of her life in Yew Tree. She was very well cared for, she was clean and well-fed. The staff were very caring towards Mom and towards us. My dad had an accident and was in hospital for 6 weeks; without Yew Tree, we would have really struggled to provide Mom with the care she needed. When she died I was extremely impressed with the compassion shown to me. I would highly recommend this nursing home.
My father was in Yew Tree for 2 years prior to his death in May 2024. The staff were amazing, very friendly and professional. They were all very caring, my father was very happy throughout his time at Yew Tree due to the excellent efforts of all staff concerned.
When my wife took up residence at Yew Tree, she was already suffering from very advanced vascular dementia, so was unable to benefit from the full facilities of the home. Most of the time, she chose to stay in her own room, later, she was unfit to use the longes, which made it difficult to pass judgement. I did find the staff very caring to her and tried to do their best for her. They were also very friendly towards me. I was always impressed by the cleanliness and the constant cleaning of the home.
My father-in-law was admitted for end-of-life fastrack care from the hospital. Unfortunately, he was only there for just over 2/52. In that time, the nursing staff and managers made the whole experience more bearable for his wife and son. All the staff couldn't do enough, and he received care with dignity and compassion at the end of his life. All the staff, from the top down to cleaners and kitchen staff, were so lovely and looked after him and us so well, and in that time, after he died. So thank you. We would definitely recommend this home.
The standard of care and support my Father has had has been amazing. Yew Tree has gone above and beyond in helping my father and providing him with a safe and caring environment to live in. Yew tree is clean and the meals provided are nutritional and varied. I would highly recommend Yew Tree.
My Dad became a resident at Yew Tree Nursing Home in November 2022. He had been discharged from hospital after being told his cancer had spread and he had a limited time to live. We had initially been told he had weeks to live, however, he lived for 7 more months and died in July 2023. During this time he was well cared for and always with dignity and respect. He had additional health needs regarding long-term mental illness, his mood would quite often fluctuate and at times he struggled to understand his prognosis. Despite him being upset with staff, their approach towards him never changed, always being compassionate and kind, allowing him to voice his feelings and to feel heard. I cannot thank all of the staff there enough for the care they provided to my dad. The last few months of his life were made far easier knowing he was so well taken care of.
In one word - superb. Attentive, kind, caring and more. Everyone at this home did their job and more for all the patients. My husband was given so much dignity even though he was so ill and in such pain. He was in the care of such professional and caring people. The staff from cleaners to nurses to superiors were second to none. He was in safe hands until he passed away this week.
My husband was admitted to Yew Tree Nursing Home on 6th October 2022 and I have been very happy with the care and attention he has received. The staff are very caring and very helpful. I cannot find fault with anything.
A very well-presented nursing home in the countryside that also has its own resident cat, ponies, ducks, chickens and guinea pig. They provide continual help and support to all of their residents, and everyone is treated with respect and dignity, making sure all their individual needs are catered for. The home is kept well-maintained and spotlessly clean. They offer regular entertainment and activities. They offer a wide variety of food that is served with perfection. The home provides 24-hour care, and I would thoroughly recommend this home to anyone that should need similar care or treatment.
My mother-in-law was extremely well cared for throughout her three years at Yewtree. She was welcomed right the beginning, with her care needs being accurately assessed and amended as necessary. The care staff were always friendly and welcoming. Despite all the difficulties during Covid, the situation was sensitively dealt with. The addition of the outside summer houses provided a good place for visits around the pool and pony paddock, outdoors. Her personal needs as she became frail towards the end of life were met in a very caring way.
Everyone at Yew Tree Nursing Home has always been extremely friendly and helpful. They are all very caring and have always done their best, not only for my friend but to answer any questions or worries I have.
Overall, our experiences with this care home have been satisfactory. There have been issues regarding my mothers care provided. However, following discussions, the matters appear to have been dealt with satisfactory.
Mom has been in Yew Tree Nursing Home since October 21. It was a difficult decision to move her out of her home into full-time care, but was certainly the right thing to do. Fortunately, she has settled well and enjoys the company and banter with the staff. I have been impressed by the kindness of the staff, the cleanliness of the home, the activities provided and the care she receives. The home is nicely decorated, and the bedrooms are lovely. Mom has a great view from her bedroom window looking over the gardens and pony paddock. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone who is considering moving their loved one into full-time care.
My father-in-law was admitted around October 2021, after being transferred from a hospice. After viewing a few homes, we decided Yew Tree was right. The room met his needs, and we were very lucky to be able to attend for visits around our work hours. As we were transferred to a hospital, the home was perfect in offering advice to us, and even when he was sent back to the home, and they had not been informed by the hospital, they were prepared to receive him, thanks to the business manager's assistance. As it got towards the end, drinks and food were supplied for us, so we could stay as long as we wanted to. When he passed, we were informed straight away and offered to go visit, which some of us did. It was wonderful to see him dressed and looking so peaceful and dignified. We are so grateful to Yew Tree and the business manager for all they did, which was a really difficult time.
My husband was always treated with care and respect during his stay at Yew Tree. The staff were very helpful to our family at a very trying and emotional time. I would recommend this nursing home for its friendliness, cleanliness and care of patients and family. It is in a lovely setting.
I have found Yew Tree nursing home just right for my Mother who has mobility problems and needs nursing care. Although she stays in her room with en-suite most of the time she is very happy there, has TV, radio and her own furniture. She enjoys her food and banter with the nurses and helpers. We can visit anytime. The home takes her on hospital visits, restaurants and trips. She is coming up to 96. On hot days she may go out into the gardens to see the donkey and lovely flowers. We've found all the staff very helpful, especially when Mom first moved in w12 months ago. They have a lovely restroom and care on site where we can go with Mom if a lot of us call at the same time. Also birthday parties.
