View Full Details of Beech House Nursing HomeMum was at Beech House from September 2024 until she sadly passed away in December 2025 During her time at Beech she was treated with the utmost dignity and respect, the team at Beech filled her time with love, laughter and non stop support. I knew from day one that i had made the right decision in placing mum at Beech House. She loved spending time in the beautiful gardens, she would while away the hours enjoying the views and pottering around the flower beds as this was something she loved to do at home. When mum became poorly the level of care, love & support was amazing....nothing was too much trouble...they were there for her constantly ensuring she had the best level of care right up until the end. Her end of life care plan was exactly how she would have wanted it, she was kept comfortable, monitored constantly and was in no pain and it was all done in a very private and dignified manner. Thank you Beech
I had known this home for many years and was delighted to hear that it had reopened earlier this year. I chose to come here for nursing care and have been very impressed with the service offered. As an ex-nurse, I feel I am in a position to make a good judgement. I have no regrets about my decision.
My mum went into Beech House on the 20th of April this year having spent seven weeks in hospital after two falls very close together, resulting in a broken humerus bone. She was very poorly and confused. Thanks to the excellent and caring staff of Beech House she has settled well. Whilst she is still far from well I take great comfort in the extremely caring environment in which Mum resides.
Made welcome on arrival. The bathroom obviously not cleaned prior to occupancy due to dead insects and cobwebs on the walls and floor. This was rectified the following day and then kept clean throughout the stay. Problem with the bathroom toilet, not flushing. Initial attempts to notify staff of problem were not passed on to management or maintenance. After the third complaint, the problem was resolved within 24 hours and the use of an alternative toilet was given. The food was varied and enjoyable. All my visitors made very welcome and the call button always answered quickly. All staff were very helpful and pleasant. Suggestions for improvements to bedroom furniture and decor and also reclining chairs or suitable height footstools.
I have been here for approximately 2 months. The staff are very kind and considerate and very professional. I feel completely safe here. Housekeeping is excellent, linen is changed regularly, fresh towels every day and laundry is collected every day. Everything is done to make us comfortable. This is my home now and I am happy to be here.
I am sorry this is so long after my husband's stay in Beech House. When you walk into Beech House, you can immediately sense the calm, homely atmosphere. You then experience all the other excellent details. Efficiency, professionalism, cleanliness and most of all the caring atmosphere.
My mother was 100 years old on December 6th 2017 and the staff were absolutely brilliant. They made mum's day really special when we came to take her out she had had her hair done and looked lovely. We had Christmas lunch with mum at Beech House and we would like to say what an enjoyable lunch it was. I cannot fault the way the staff treated the visitors and the residents and the food was excellent.
The staff at Beech House are friendly, professional and supportive. They are always willing to help and go the extra mile. The care is of high quality, the catering is good and the cleanliness is excellent. The carer manager is readily available and always acts on any points raised. During my mother's last days, the compassion, care and attention given was superb, both to her and her relatives.
Mother moved into Beech House after her previous one closed. We worried that such a big upheaval would upset her but she settled in quickly. The care she received was very good and the continuity of staff which we think is important was very good. She was treated with dignity and kindness. The food is also good with plenty of choice. the home is always clean and welcoming. We would highly recommend Beech House.
My mother was a resident at Beech House for about a month after being transferred from the local hospital for respite care. I found all staff very helpful and caring to my mother and our family visiting. When we needed advice and support both the manager and deputy manager would always take the time to explain things and reassure us. If the time comes when my mother should need to go into full-time residential care, then both she and our family would definitely consider Beech House and will recommend to anyone looking for residential care for a loved one.
If and when I ever need to go into a care home this is the one O would want to go into. The staff our brilliant, friendly and take a great care and interest in the residents and their care. The food looks lovely and they make a very nice cup of coffee.
I was invited to visit Beech House about six years ago. Since then I have visited with my Canine Concern Shetland Sheepdogs on a fortnightly basis. The management, staff and Activities Coordinator are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and bright. The residents are happy and well looked after in a beautiful rural surrounding. I would have no worries if one of my family was a resident.
Pleasant and caring home. Happy atmosphere. Nothing is too much trouble. Management easy to approach and understanding as to my concerns regarding my husband and his past treatment. I am pleased to say that since his admission to Beech House, his condition has improved and he has all the care and treatment he needs.
I would like to comment on the staff and facilities at this care home. Nothing is too much trouble. The staff are polite and caring, always chatting to the residents and visitors. My mother who is not the easiest person to get on with says the people here are nice. My mum has a nice room overlooking the gardens and she can listen to the birds in the morning which she enjoys. I would totally recommend this care home.
