View Full Details of Radbrook Nursing HomeDuring my aunt's stay at Radbrook Nursing Home, the care she received was exceptional. The staff demonstrated professionalism, kindness, and a deep commitment to her well-being. They ensured her medical needs were met promptly and attentively, while also fostering a warm, supportive environment. Her personal care was always handled with respect and dignity, and her room was kept clean and comfortable. The team's communication with family was transparent, providing regular updates on her health and progress. Additionally, the activities offered kept her engaged and uplifted. We truly appreciate the dedication and compassion shown by everyone at Radbrook, making her stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible.
I approached the care home manager when my father-in-law required full-time nursing care, following a spell in the hospice. From that day he, and I, were shown nothing but kindness. Initially, he was extremely agitated and upset but they remained calm and professional. They were also very supportive to the family when it was, at times, very upsetting to see him so unhappy. Thankfully he settled and spent the last couple of weeks of his life much calmer and happier almost. We are so grateful that after all the upset of him being poorly for over 2 years, he ended his days comfortable and calm. We will always be grateful for the way we were all welcomed and accepted.
Excellent care from the Radbrook team the staff are professional, polite, and caring. They have supported my father over the past 6 months and have accommodated all of his needs they are a dedicated care team. The care manager shows professionalism towards all the team, residents, and families and the level of care and expertise is outstanding and shows an understanding for patient dignity and confidentiality. There are activities every day for the residents and the activity team are always thinking of new ways to improve the resident's day. I recommend Radbrook Care Home for anyone looking for a true home-from-home experience.
I would first like to say a huge thank you to all the staff at Radbrook Nursing Home. My Grandad received nothing but first-class professional care during his short time at Radbrook nursing home, The manager was amazing and put my Grandad and all the family at ease. The nurses and carers who cared for him were brilliant nothing was ever too much trouble, grandad described the nursing home as a 5* hotel and the food was beautiful. The home itself was spotless and felt very homely. Thanks again for everything you did for Grandad.
Mum was a resident at Radbrook for six months before moving closer to family. I don't think I can ever thank the staff enough for looking after Mum so brilliantly. The care, compassion, kindness and patience all the staff showed to Mum was amazing. Mum has had a very difficult year in 2023, when she moved to Radbrook Nursing Home, she was a shadow of herself, but with gentle encouragement, she gradually gained more confidence, and that is due to the commitment of the staff. All the nursing staff, carers, stewards, cleaners and admin staff were readily on hand to help with any problems. Mum's room was always spotlessly clean. Activities were so well organised and varied. The atmosphere at Radbrook Nursing Home was always friendly and welcoming, and I would not hesitate to recommend to other families.
As a family we are very happy with how Mum has adapted to her new environment and for that we are very grateful to all the staff for making this happen. Mum's main concern is the time it can take responding to her buzzer or returning to her if they are called away, although she does appreciate she isn't the only resident in the home.
My cousin moved to Radbrook to receive palliative care. From our arrival in early February, the service has been first class from all the staff. He has been made extremely welcome and the care and attention he has received has been excellent. My cousin has settled very quickly and feels like it is a home from home.
Our mom came to Radbrook for end-of-life care following a short battle with cancer. We cannot thank the team enough for the care and compassion they showed to us all, especially our beautiful mom. They maintained her dignity throughout, making her comfortable whilst caring for her needs. Thank you, Radbrook.
The staff here are a mixture of fantastically caring, hardworking and efficient carers and a few lazy ones who are happy to let the others do the majority of the work. The good carers are utterly amazing, worth their weight in gold! The home itself is delightful, a lovely place for residents and visitors alike. Management, reception, activities and housekeeping are fantastic, as is the catering. The only bad part about Radbrook is the owners/directors... my mother was awarded money to help with paying her fees, and I had to threaten to move her to a different home before they would use it to help pay my mom's fees.
Words cannot describe how brilliant the staff are here. From the moment my dad arrived to the time of his death, nothing was too much. If I have to go into care, I hope it’s here.
Radbrook Nursing home has been my mum’s home for the past 3 years. She has always had excellent care and I feel that she is safe and well looked after. The carers are warm and caring and have a lovely relationship with Mum. The nurses always address any concerns I have and will inform the doctors if they, or I, notice any medical change in mum whic may be cause for concern. The manager is readily available and is regularly round and about. He has his office door open as well which makes makes communication very easy. The support staff - the housekeepers, the laundry staff, the chef, the reception staff and admin all work together as a team and help to make everyone feel welcome.
Whenever I come and visit my friend, who is unfortunately in a care home, they are always happy, clean and tidy! Their bedroom is always clean and smelling nice, so well done to the housekeeping team for their hard work. One housekeeper (young lady) went out off their way to clean my friend's carpet when they accidentally spilt some juice. The home is always clean and tidy whenever I come. At times though, I have gone past the lounge and seen the same staff member sat down just talking while other staff members are working really hard; I just don’t think this is fair and they shouldn’t be getting away with it. But, I am very pleased with my friend's care and how tidy the home is. (Big credits to the two young ladies and man for keeping the home clean and tidy.)
The team at Radstock are all attentive to the resident's needs and try to meet them in the most respectful way possible. The 360 care is excellent. The home is always welcoming, warm, very clean and bright. The food is well presented and varied and a choice is always available. I transferred my mother to Radbrook from a close by nursing home and she is much happier and looks so much better.
It's now coming up to 1 year since my mother became a resident at Radbrook. From the warm friendly and empathetic moment of admission, most importantly Mum, but also our family have been shown such excellent levels of care, kindness, friendliness, compassion and commitment. Radbrook, to me, doesn't run like a regular nursing home. It's more like one big family and the environment is warm, caring, full of kindness. The nursing and care staff that look after Mum are simply experts in what they do - every single person. This is fantastic for Mum and reassuring for us. This was even more apparent recently when Mum's health deteriorated. The whole team were so committed to getting Mum through it and so supportive towards the family through this worrying time. I have just asked Mum to sum up in one sentence her thoughts toward the home. Her reply was - wonderful! And I agree, it's a wonderful place and the care and staff are equally wonderful.
1) For four years my mother's care at Radbrook has been good. 2) Recently her bed had been made up over a soiled and urine-soaked sheet. 3) Suffering from severe macular degeneration three out of the four light bulbs in her room were not working. She sat in the gloom. Appalling. 4) Her toilet bowl was black/filthy. I have photos. 5) The floor in her room was filthy. I had to clean it myself. 6)Communal carpets were filthy for several consecutive days.
It is like home from home. The staff are professional and friendly. A lovely place for my mother to live in the twilight of her life. Can't fault the home at all.
Really pleased with the service.
I would like to say thank you to all the staff at Radbrook Home for taking such good care of my mother's needs during her respite period. From your excellent PR/Administration team to your caring, friendly, helpful dedicated staff who tended to my mother's everyday needs, the front-of-house catering team were terrific! Definitely, a home that I would recommend to others who have a need for TLC whether nursing or respite. Thank you again and continue to keep safe.
My aunty was transferred to Radbrook Nursing home recently 23.04.22, She was only there four days when she sadly passed away. I just wanted to say the service, care and compassion shown was absolutely faultless, my aunt never wanted to go into a home but I'm sure if she knew how good the service and staff were she would have felt differently. I cannot thank you all enough, every person we met within the establishment had the same loving and caring attitude. A very well done to everybody. Please pass this review to the Head Office team.
