View Full Details of Myford HouseMy mother in law stayed at Myford for around 10 months. She enjoyed her time here & was well looked after by kind and caring staff. She loved the entertainment arranged by the management and the activities. She hated being alone and several staff realised this and made time to sit with her. One of the staff went above and beyond his duties in caring for her, singing and cheering her up when she felt down. He also sat with her when she was on end of life
Absolutely fantastic, the level of care is second to none. Nothing is too much trouble and the team are all really friendly and knowledgeable. This is definitely the best place for care. The cleanliness is spot on and there are always plenty of staff to answer any questions. The staff build a great bond with the residents.
My husband was admitted after a stay in hospital. He was unable to walk so was in Myford for enablement. The care my lovely husband received was second to none. Two special carers looked after my husband with love, compassion; also brought a smile to his face with their presence. Sadly my husband passed away but his last few weeks at Myford House were happy. Forever grateful. Thank you.
Following a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. Dad spent his final few weeks receiving palliative, end-of-life care at Myford House. I can't thank the staff enough for the care they provided and their kindness and the support they give to us as a famiy.
My father was taken into Myfrd House in a care pathway after a hospital stay from a gall bladder infection and sepsis. He was totally immobile by this time and suffering from dementia. He enjoyed the meals in the home on a moist and soft diet. The care staff in the home have been truly wonderful and have given Dad the dignity and care he needed. Special mention to two members of staff in the EMI unit who always gave Dad the care and attention he needed, right to the end. I would like to thank them from the bottom of my heart. The home deserves more funding for the decor - they all worked so hard. Well done to the manager for raising the bar in the home - she's a brilliant manager! Thank you.
Our dear Mom became a resident at Myford House a couple of years ago and was so warmly welcomed by Sharon and her marvellous team. Mom was looked after so well and all of us 3 daughters and many family members were always made so welcome when we visited Mom. When Mom passed away a month ago we were fully supported by the caring staff, who couldn’t do enough for us, and we were treated with the greatest of compassion. We feel very fortunate to have found such a caring environment for Mom to spend the last couple of years of her life, and are so very grateful to the manager and every member of her wonderful team. Thank you all so very much, we will be forever grateful for your loving care and support at this very difficult time for us all.
My mother in law was admitted to Myford House on the in June 2023. From the time she arrived the staff at Myford were to say the least very professional and caring. My mother in law received the best possible care in a clean, warm and safe environment. I would like to particularly like to give our thanks to three members of staff. I'm sorry I cannot remember you all but equally thank you. My mother in law was extremely well cared for during her 5 week stay. She was under palliative care until her passing. She could not have been in better hands. Above all she was safe and being treated very well. I would highly recommend Myford House. Thank you all again
My husband was transferred to Myford House from hospital for enablement and physiotherapy. Unfortunately due to the state of his health he required more intensive care and was excellently nursed by the staff at Myford House. Their care and compassion was outstanding, nothing was too much trouble for my husband, myself or my family. The continuity of care was exceptional and enabled us to say our final farewell to him. We all strongly feel that we were lucky that he was transferred to Myford House. If my husband had survived he would have needed full-time nursing care we would have hoped for Myford House to continue his care.
My dad, first came into Myford House initially for respite care around November last year. After a while, we realised he was not going to be able to return to independent living, so he became a resident of Myford House. The staff are so loving and caring, they go the extra mile to make the residents happy and all their needs are taken care of. After several spells in hospital, my dad returned to Myford House for palliative care. I can not thank the staff more for the love, kindness and care they gave my dad in his last days. When he did pass, the Myford Team were genuinely as upset as the family were. This nursing home is brilliant - and the staff there are a credit to the profession.
The staff at Myford House provided a level of service to my uncle that was simply exceptional. The kindness, compassion and understanding was consistent from all staff and it has been a huge comfort to know that he was always treated as an individual and always with such respect, dignity and thoughtfulness. They always find time for visiting relatives too and we were always offered a warm drink and a friendly welcome. The environment is cosy and welcoming too and bedrooms and the communal areas were always clean, fresh and tidy. Thank you to the amazing team for everything.
The home is like home from home. The rooms are well equipped. My friend has come on leaps and bounds since he has been there. The staff are very caring and understanding, they look after me as well as my friend when I'm there. Nothing is too much trouble. I recommend Myford House when looking for a care home for your loved one.
My mum came here out of hospital because she couldn’t manage on her own. After having a previous bad experience with another care facility, we were worried. We needn’t have been. From the minute she entered, she felt welcome and was treated with respect and dignity. All of the carers are wonderful and really care. One of the carers came in on her day off to wash and cut mum’s hair, which made her day. They go above and beyond and Mum doesn’t want to leave as she feels so welcome and well cared for. Thank you, all of you for what you do. You have all put our minds at rest, at what has been a very worrying time.
Mom has been ill for some time and the decision was made to admit her to Myford House for enablement and long term care. On first appearances the building looks like a face lift is needed however the care and outstanding care provided from the staff more than make up for anything judged on first appearances of a building. The staff not only support Mom but the relatives around her, showing care, compassion and empathy with our situation. The heart of care truly is owned by the staff and whilst they are extremely busy they always have time for Mom or family members. It does take a period of adjustment to the home but once settled in it starts to feel a home from home. Don’t judge this care facility on the building at all. The staff are truly awesome and all deserve medals. Mom is looked after and treated very well. Highly recommended.
My mother was admitted to Myford House, for end of life care. Myford House has a wonderful team of staff, she was shown nothing but love, respect and an amazing standard of care from the first day of arriving at the home until her death. Communication with the home was excellent, we were kept informed of any changes at all times, and made to feel very welcome when we visited. Every member of staff was friendly and helpful, and so very professional, nothing was ever to much trouble for them. (They also make a lovely cup of tea). As a family, we were so supported by every member of the team at Myford House, I can honestly say that there wasn't one moment of my mothers stay at the home that I could find any fault with, I would highly recommend Myford House to anyone and everyone. If you are in the position of having to find a care home for a loved one, and want amazing care, support, kindness and respect look no further than Myford House.
My mother was on the end of life pathway. Care was excellent, staff very friendly and professional. My mother's final weeks were very peaceful.
My mum was admitted to Myford House as she was not coping at home. She was distressed being alone, she was not eating or drinking and was confused. Since arriving at Myford House, she’s so much better and happy. The care she’s receives is excellent. Nothing is ever too much trouble. My mum had a really warm welcome and the staff treat her with so much respect and kindness. My mum has been transformed since arriving at Myford and we are so grateful to the staff for their love and attention. My mum would not be as happy and safe had she not come into the home. They took the time to get to know her and us as a family. We are made to feel welcome and they’ve been incredibly kind with allowing my mum to bring items that were important to her. This definitely helped with the transition from being at home to coming into care. My mum’s quality of life and health has improved massively and that’s thanks to the care and treatment they provide. The team are excellent.
The nursing staff and carers are fantastic. They take the needs of the resident as a top priority keeping their next of kin up to date. Nurses ensure paperwork is in place so that the care needed is the correct care. Highly recommend Myford House.
All the staff but especially the manager and deputy manager provided outstanding care and love to our mum during her time with Myford House. They supported both my sister and I who at times were 100s of miles away by setting up video calls with us and Mum and provided us with ongoing updates as to Mum's progress. Nothing was too much trouble despite there being many residents the staff always had time. The support and love given to Mum and us will always be so very much appreciated.
Myford has been caring for my mum for around 3-years, my father also had a short period of respite there. I have nothing but praise for all the staff and managers at Myford. The care they have both received, especially my mum, who is still a resident at Myford, has been excellent. The staff are very considerate, caring and capable, which is just what we want as a family, as my mum has end-stage dementia. My father, as a daily visitor for my mum, was treated as part of the ‘family’ and was regularly given drinks and lunch. He really appreciated being able to visit daily and could see that my mum was comfortable and well looked after. I would recommend Myford to other potential families as our experience has been positive.
In her final weeks, the care my mum received from the staff here was excellent. From the cleaner, handyman, carers, nurses, to admin and management staff. All showed compassion and care to my mum and family/friends. We were all made to feel like we were part of a larger family.
