View Full Details of Aston Court Care HomeI arrived for two weeks of respite care but stayed for six due to unforeseen circumstances. I was warmly welcomed, escorted to my room and helped to unpack. My room was adequate, neat and tidy and the bed comfortable. At mealtimes, I was called for and directed where to sit. I found the menu to be very good and varied and tasted very nice. I thoroughly enjoyed myself at Aston Court Care Home.
I can't thank the manager and her team at Aston Court Care Home enough. The care our mom received was the best we could ever wish for. Respect and compassion were shown to Mom throughout by all staff not only for Mom but also to us all. We really appreciated what you did for us between the tears and laughter. You made a tough time a lot easier with privacy and your support throughout. Keeping us updated at every stage. Thank you all so much! You are all wonderful people, I mean this from my heart.
We cannot thank the staff enough for the wonderful care they gave my aunt for the four years she was at Aston Court. The standard of care was excellent and the homely feel of the place made it easy to visit and talk to staff. We were kept informed and always contacted for the slightest concern. My aunt's final days at the home saw compassion, care and respect for her. Sadly she passed away but the carers were with her to the end.
What a fabulous place for my mum! Visited several times with my fiancé and really appreciate the ongoing care for my mum! Plus the weekly talks we have with my mum; thanks so much to all of you and we will see you soon.
My whole experience at Aston Court has been excellent. Right from when I first arrived to the final week. I resided for respite after major hip surgery and have found the care excellent. The carers and management have been very supportive and encouraging and made my stay very pleasant.
Very pleased with the care my father receives. His needs are met on all levels - staff are polite and caring.
My mum was admitted into Aston Court in October 2022. This was such a hard decision for myself, my son and my daughter. We had looked after Mum at home for almost six years as she had developed Alzheimer's and we could no longer cope. The care and kindness that all staff have shown to my mum is outstanding. She is 95 years old, and still fighting, and I cannot praise the staff enough. We walk away happy when we visit Mum, knowing she is happy and cared for.
On arrival to the care home my mum's overall health was very poor. Her health and well-being have improved greatly since arrival. My mum has made friends and now spends her days in the communal area and engages with the many activities. She enjoys the food and all the cups of tea. My mum is very happy at Aston Court and considers the care home to be her new home. She enjoys talking with the staff and as a family we could not be happier. Thank you.
Since our mom has been a resident of Aston Court Care Home, she has been made welcome and always treated like a family member. With encouragement, she has started taking an active part in the activities. She is always happy when we visit and her mobility has improved.
Just to say how warm and wonderful the home is. The staff are just absolutely fantastic, they make you very welcome when we are visiting. God bless you.
Always friendly staff who integrate with residents in a caring manner. Residents are treated with respect and cared for very well. When I visited, you can see the interaction between staff members and residents is very good, 'natural'! The home is always very clean and well cared for.
Honestly, words cannot express enough just how incredible this care home is! Having moved my nan from another nursing home where she was left in bed and rapidly went downhill - we moved her to Aston Court in October and since then she has become a different person! She is happy, smiley and has 'come back to life'. The attention to detail that the staff provide here is outstanding. They really do care, even when they have so much to deal with they have time for you as relatives and keep you informed about everything. The activities are exceptional and the activities coordinators go above and beyond for the residents. Thank you to everyone at Aston Court. It really is a special place!
Very happy with everything. Cannot fault anything. The home is always clean. All the staff are very friendly in all departments. There always seems plenty going on to keep the residents occupied so they do not get bored.
Very satisfactory, well organised, caring and pleasant staff.
Communication has definitely improved since covid restrictions lifted. I receive newsletters and phone calls which keep me updated. Overall I think the faculty is good. I do think that my relative would benefit from more activities that take him out. I do of course appreciate the costs and the effect on resources but would be good if possible to consider.
The carers at Aston Court care home are always polite friendly and helpful, a very professional team making you feel welcome with every visit. As you would expect sanitation hygienic checks are conducted quickly in reception on arrival, for the safety of residents, visitors and staff. Regular activities are available to residents, and the home is spacious, clean and tidy.
Aston Court Care Home has cared for my Nan for a number of years. She suffered a stroke and has expressive dysphasia so is unable to speak and struggles to communicate, staff are very good at communicating with Nan in a way in which she can understand, they do this by speaking slowly and clearly and using other methods of ensuring Nan has understood like her body language/expressions and designing her days, meals and activities around things in which they know she enjoys - examples are the local catholic church visiting to ensure her faith is maintained as this is very important to her, she has been taken on an outing to the church and also with other residents to the garden centre - she enjoys being around people but gets very anxious and needs lots of reassurance, staff are great at providing this and keeping to her routine to help her feel relaxed and safe in Aston Court. Nan is respected as an individual and we are kept updated with the goings-on and any changes as a family. Thank you.
My dad was a resident at Aston Court for 19 months, he was looked after so well by everyone there. They let me know if there was ever a problem they kept me updated with Dad's care. The staff are amazing there. There was so much for him to do but Dad was happy with just his TV and lots of tea! My dad passed away peacefully on the 22nd of June 2022, the staff made sure I was there by his side and they looked after me so well after Dad died. They treated me and Dad with so much respect. I am so grateful that Dad spent the last few months of his life there. I can never thank them enough for everything they did.
Amazing choice of place for my Mum and most care staff were very friendly and loving towards residents. They are treated like a family here, not a care home. The communication is great as the staff informed me of all changes and concerns with Mum. The home had the most minimal cases of Covid which goes to show staff were efficient in infection control. This meant we were still able to book visits.
Our family had to choose out of three placements. We chose Aston Court and I can say we have no regrets. The support and care given to our mother is so refreshing, nothing is too much for them, we are so pleased we made the choice of picking this home, and since we have spoken to different carers who have given good reviews of Aston Court.
