View Full Details of Bramshall Old RectoryMy mother-in-law was a resident from September 2023 till July 2024. The care and dedication by all staff to her was amazing and dedication to their roles went that bit extra in all aspects of her care. At the end of life, the care and compassion shown to my mother-in-law and our family went above and beyond by all members of staff. This support and care made her passing something we will remember as an act of extreme kindness at a difficult time and helped not only my mother-in-law but all our family and visitors.
The staff are so conscious about the patients' needs. From the manager down to the rest of that staff are brilliant. The accommodation is excellent.
Having observed my wife as a resident at Bramshall Old Rectory Care Home, suffering with Alzheimer's disease and mixed dementia, I decided to join the home as a resident myself in March 2023. My reviews are then both a subjective and objective perspective. The staff/residents and staff/staff relationships are excellent and accordingly, the care quality reflects this at all times. The food is of a very high standard and the residents are well stimulated and their needs are well met by trained and experienced staff ensuring that satisfaction and happiness are well met by positive leadership.
Staff members are caring, friendly and helpful. They seem always ready to listen and act in response to needs and wants. The facilities are good, especially the quiet lounge, dining room and outdoor decking. Food service is good and discussion of menu choices each day. On a more negative note; the entrance covered area is dirty and tatty, drainpipes leak and plants (garden is not well cared for). Some indoor areas are not always clean. Activities not very apparent during this month.
I come from America every year to visit my gramps and I am so happy that he is well looked after. All of the staff are very friendly and patient. Gramps also loves the food. Thank you for all of your hard work.
My mum is happy at The Old Rectory. She has many health problems and she is cared for in a friendly and dignified manner. She always seems to be clean when I visit. I can see the care she receives from the community nurses is also good. It is sad that the regular entertainer has retired and hope they soon find a replacement as the stimulus of these activities is so important. I hope Mum continues to be cared for in this caring and friendly home.
My mum has been at Bramshall Old Rectory Care Home for the past four months and I cannot recommend them highly enough. They are caring and put the residents first at all times. She has a lovely room with wonderful views and it is always spotlessly clean. Meals are homecooked and there always seems plenty of drinks to keep residents hydrated. The outstanding feature is the care and consideration shown by all staff. I can relax knowing she is well-loved and looked after.
Mum is always looked after and is very much loved by all the team. I could not wish for anywhere better, and nothing is too much trouble. The food is very good. Mum's care needs are taken care of very well as she suffers from Alzheimer's disease. There is regular entertainment, musicians, singers and bingo. Everyone makes me feel welcome when I visit. The home is always clean and tidy. Rooms are well equipped and have an en suite. Thank you all for your continuing care and the love my mother receives.
We would like better communication about our Mom. We are never told anything about her care or if a GP visits. We visited Mom one day in her room. The commode was left with faeces in. Mom likes it here and enjoys activities, which is nice.
Overall, care is good. She appears happy. She states the food is good. The room often smells of urine and a commode was left with faeces on one visit. We are never informed of GP visits or district nurse visits. Lap straps not used when going out in her wheelchair. We have purchased one. Mum enjoys the community feel of the home and the staff are always pleasant with her even if she is rude to them.
Very welcoming atmosphere, very friendly staff. My nan always seems happy, clean and well cared for. Any concerns are dealt with straight away.
Having "suffered" isolation for four weeks, with no contact with other residents, at a previous nursing home, I moved her to the Old Rectory. The transformation of my wife has been outstanding. The staff is attentive to her every need, particularly as she has a cracked vertebra, making movement difficult, on top of Parkinson's Dementia. I wish I had found this place in the first instance.
I have no complaints at all. Food particularly good. I don't mean to be churlish but I don't want to keep filling in these reviews, suffice to say my brothers and I are more than satisfied.
The care received at the home over a period of nearly three years has been really very good on the whole. Staffing levels have been inadequate at times but the new manager is putting things in place and you can see things improving, including the morale of the staff, which is the foundation.
My dad came to stay at Bramshall Old Rectory over two years ago and very soon referred to it as home. We can't thank the staff enough for the ongoing care he receives. The team take time to get to know the residents and are always happy to support them and also their family. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are clean, spacious and well equipped. The food is also of the highest quality and residents needs are well met. My dad enjoys a joke with the staff and it is so lovely to see the relationships between them. All residents are treated with dignity and therefore, I would highly recommend this care home.
A delightful home set in the heart of a nice village. The standard of care given is excellent, and all of the staff seem to be very friendly. The food is well cooked and presented with a varied menu. A wide and varied entertainment program is available for those who want to participate. Each person is treated with respect and dignity. Any worries or complaints are dealt with straight away. Overall a very nice and pleasant care home.
Over the last few months whilst my mother has been resident, I have been very impressed with the overall care she has received and the general standard in all areas. The staff treat my mother with great care and respect and are so welcoming and supportive to my Dad who visits almost every day. The general atmosphere is relaxed and homely. I feel I can speak to the manager very easily and she is obviously committed to ensuring the best possible care to her residents. I would have no hesitation in recommending this home to family and friends. Those family and friends who have visited have commented on how well my mother is and the friendly atmosphere.
Excellent, caring, considerate facility, staff obliging, charming and approachable. Especially for both treating my mother and fellow residents with dignity and the food is ace.
Our sister, with progressive MS and demanding psychological issues, has been in the home for a while. Since arriving her general wellbeing and psychological issues have greatly improved. The care provided is excellent both for her physical and psychological needs. The home is managed extremely well and this shows in the day to day care and overall teams delivery of care, compassion, empathy and genuine love and commitment to their demanding roles and responsibilities. We thank you all.
My sister has very special hands is completely disabled and unable to walk or even stand up unaided. The staff are always friendly and give complete care, empathy and love to my sister. Often under great duress, my sister can be difficult. The staff at any establishment are only ever as good as the person in charge. The Old Rectory has the very best manager. As a family, we can't believe we have found such a wonderful home for our deat sister.
