View Full Details of Croft Care HomeMum had to move into a care home due to a very bad fall at home and mobility issues. Overall the family are very pleased with the care home. Mum has struggled with leaving her own home - which I understand- and on the whole, it's been a good success. We know that mum is well looked after and cared for and safe.
My dad has been a resident at the croft since June 2024, this has taken a lot of worry off myself and my wife knowing that he his getting good 24 hour care by a young very enthusiastic, well trained staff. We are allowed 24 hour access, with no booking required, we are invited and encouraged to join in all planned events,( of which there are many). Thankyou, keep up the good work
My mother moved into The Croft in June and was recovering from a serious UTI, she was frail and confused. Since being in The Croft care home she has recovered and put weight back on. She enjoys her life again and has settled in well. The Managers and staff are amazing and my family can't thank them enough for the way they have made my Mom feel at home. The manager and staff keep me informed about my Mom all the time. My Mom has a cat who she adores and The Croft welcomed my Mom's cat to live there with her, priceless! Me and my family can relax now knowing my Mom is in excellent hands. Thank you so much.
My mother moved in on 15th December and the kindness and complete care she has received has been unbelievable. The staff are all amazing and nothing is too much trouble. Croft Care Home has a lovely atmosphere and my mother has said how comfortable she feels and wishes she’d moved sooner. I am extremely happy with everything associated with The Croft and would happily recommend it!
My mother moved into Croft Care Home in August 2022, after spending several weeks in hospital. Both me and my wife were a little bit worried she wouldn't want to stay, but after a few days she was praising all the staff and loved the place, even after several months she still loves the place. When we visit, we hear all about how good the food is, and how everyone is so good with her, as their paperwork claims it really is a home from home, which is a big relief, and has put our minds at rest, keep up the excellent work manager and your team.
My mother-in-law moved into the Croft Care Home last week after struggling to live alone and care for herself due to Alzheimer's. Since she has arrived at the Croft the staff have been so lovely and are always at the end of the phone if we have a query or are quick to call us back. My husband picked his mum up today to take her out and she had nothing but praise for the home and their staff and she couldn't wait to go back. In the short space of time, we have seen a real difference in her and she seems so much happier.
Mum moved to the Croft Care Home in early May 2022. I'd like to say a big thank you to the manager and all her staff for helping Mum settle in. I believe it's well run, staff always helpful and friendly.
My dad moved into this care home in July 2021 after becoming quite unwell at home and spending lots of time in hospital, and much to my delight he has instantly settled. He has no real short term memory and gets very confused, they are all so lovely there, for example, whilst on the phone to him recently (after he asked the staff to call me) he told me he was worried because he couldn't pay for his meal (I think he thought he was at a restaurant). I heard one of the lovely staff saying "don't worry it's my treat" it melted my heart. Even though Dad doesn't really know where he is, he always says the people are lovely and the food is lovely, the carers are really friendly and all the residents are happy, clean and well-groomed. I really feel like I hit the jackpot when my dad was placed here, thank you so much for making him happy again.
My father went to Croft Care Home in 2016 until 2021. In that time, he was looked after by the team at Croft with such care and compassion as if he was their own family. That is what Croft is, a big family with a lovely, homely feel. From kitchen staff (who provide fabulous meals) to management they are all wonderful, caring and professional. Placing your loved one into a care home can be an emotional ordeal and for me, to know my father was being cared for so well, made it all so much easier to go through. I will always be very grateful to Croft for making my father's final years happy.
My mum was taken into this care home for five weeks whilst I went into hospital. I can say she was very well looked after. She said the food was lovely, especially her porridge in the mornings! Everywhere was clean and all the people in there were well looked after and cared for. They had things to do and a hairdresser to make them feel good. I would not hesitate to put my mum in there again. The manager was always there to talk to if I phoned and was very understanding.
My mum has been a resident of the Croft for a couple of years. I know my mum is in a safe environment, being looked after by the caring staff. The care home manager is very approachable and communicates any issues as and when they arise. The residents have regular activities for stimulation and are encouraged to engage. Before covid, there was an open door policy allowing visits at any time. I often took mum out, which was never a problem. The residents had regular visits out too. A lot of effort went into planning other events as well. Since covid the home as been 100% safe at all times. Visits allowed as per NHS policies. It is a very testing time for the staff but they are always cheerful and passionate with all of our never-ending phone calls and window visits. As a family, we love to see the regular updates of activities on Facebook.
My mum has been in Croft Care Home for just over a year now, and it truly is a home from home; not just " a home". She is made to feel welcome and a part of everything they do, both on her good and difficult days they are kind, sensitive and attentive to her needs. As family, we are always kept in touch and their compassion and care extends well beyond the four walls, checking-in with other family members too. Mum is settled, happy, smiley and forever commenting on the "nice ladies" that are looking after her. Despite being poorly when she moved in and me and family having many worries, the Croft have been a massive part of Mum's recovery to a point she can now enjoy and have a valuable life not centred on her illnesses. I am in no doubt Mum has much more quality of life than she could have elsewhere, and the Croft feels almost a part of my extended family. I look forward to the updates, photos, calls and messages that show Mum's latest activities and achievements. 10/10, a wonderful place.
My mother-in-law Barbara went into Croft Care Home on the 20th November 2020. We love all the staff. My husband and I wish to thank everyone for their help. Thank you.
My father is receiving a very good quality of care at Croft Care Home. I have visited him on a number of occasions, prior to the Covid pandemic, and have always been impressed by the staff and the way he is looked after. I know from being updated that he gets the care needed and any medical requirements are attended to promptly. His room is clean and he is in good health and spirits. I have every confidence in the staff and the decisions they make for him on a day to day basis. I know that they will contact me should the need arise.
The Croft is a small home that perhaps lacks the facilities of larger places, but that is all to the good. The staff are without exception outstanding; they care for clients with compassion, dignity and a friendliness that engenders a homely atmosphere. They are approachable and willing to hear queries or suggestions from family; I always felt at ease when visiting due in no small part to the obvious enthusiasm they have for their vocation. My mother sadly died recently after almost 2-years in their care. During these dark times, I was not able to visit, but the way I was kept in touch and the way mum's end of life was handled was exemplary, it was as if they had a duty of care to me as well. I will be eternally grateful.
My father started residing at The Croft from May 2019 due to his dementia. The staff are all very caring and treat him with dignity and respect and he is very settled and happy which is just fantastic for us as a family. The home itself is very clean and the food looks amazing and he has put on weight since being here which we are delighted about. They try to keep him as stimulated as possible and create a happy and pleasant environment for him which is very important to us. They hold regular events and parties for everyone and the team put a lot of effort into occasions such as Halloween and Bonfire night. I would highly recommend this home.
I think the home is fantastic, the care staff are brilliant, and the home manager is very approachable, I know that I can go to the manager at any time if I have anything I want to discuss and she will sort it immediately, the activities are brilliant, I love that I can visit at any time of the day or night. The food is brilliant, and the choice is offered to all the residents, I couldn’t recommend this home enough!
My mum had to go into Croft Care Home earlier this year, due to worsening dementia. She has settled wonderfully, the staff have been patient and caring, and she is much happier and calmer. She has made new friends and very much enjoys the meals and entertainment. I am so pleased with the Croft and all of its staff, they have made the transition so easy for my mum and her family. Thank you to all.
What a lovely home for my mum, she has been looked after and cared for so well for over 2 years, all the staff are fantastic, nothing is too much trouble for them. You are all so amazing, I would recommend the Croft to everyone, they are just one big happy and loving family. Thank you all.
This is a fantastic care home, my mum has been in the home for the last 4 years after the difficult decision was made of having to find a home for her due to her failing health. From day one the staff from the manager down to the ladies who do the cleaning have been very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. All the resident's needs are catered for, the home is very clean and the meals are freshly prepared and home cooked every day. Just before Christmas mum was not very well and confined to bed but the care and support and love she received from the staff was exceptional, nothing was too much trouble and they were always popping into mums room to check she was ok. I feel this care is the reason we still have mum and I would highly recommend the home to anyone who asks me. I would like to say a big THANK YOU to all the staff for everything they do to ensure the residents are cared for and treated with respect.
