View Full Details of Manor House Nursing HomeThe care of my mother, provided by the staff at the home during her last days of life, was excellent. As close relatives concerned for her welfare, we could not have asked for more consideration, compassion, and involvement than that provided by all members of the team. It is extremely comforting to know that my mother's final days were spent in such a caring environment.
My dad was a resident for 16 months and during this time he felt secure, happy and well cared for. The staff are this home's biggest asset. They are caring, and considerate and we were happy when leaving Dad in their care. The nursing staff could not do enough for Dad in his final days and for this, we are eternally grateful. I would certainly recommend this home to anyone.
Thank you all so much for the care and support you gave my 88-year-old mom over the past months. I am eternally grateful for your help through this extremely tough time. The atmosphere of the home was friendly and relaxed and very clean. I would have no hesitation in recommending to anyone.
We thank that the nursing team are excellent in what they do, sometimes they go above and beyond, especially more senior staff members who we can go to if we have a question about care.
Always found the home welcoming, very clean and the staff very, very nice. Always welcomed and offered a drink. Very lovely home.
This is an excellent nursing home. Staff are well trained and show great care in helping my sister who is living with early-onset dementia. The room she has is perfect for her needs. The rooms are kept clean by a daily cleaner. The food is of a very high standard and served to the residents by the team of nurses. I particularly like the way that the home is able to deal with the different needs of residents providing them with a variety of activities and social engagements. The gardens are really impressive and are landscaped by the gardener so that residents are able to appreciate them. Car parking is easy and visiting is unrestricted so it is easy to 'drop in' to do a quick visit.
Our sister has been in the Manor House since the beginning of March 2023. She was given a warm welcome by the staff, and I visited her every day for the two weeks I was in the country, so got to see most of the staff, plus I was going in randomly. Every encounter I had with the staff was warm and responsive, they obviously spent a lot of time with my sister, chatting and reassuring her as she adjusted to a new place. My sister clearly likes her care team and feels safe with them. I call most days and often talk with a staff member as well as my sister, I appreciate their input. I love the presence on FB, thanks to the activities team, it gives me some idea of the day, plus is a useful conversational prompt when I talk with her.
From the first day my wife was admitted the support from all the staff was superb. She receives the best possible service. Every member of staff is so supportive of my wife and myself and has helped both of us to adjust.
Dad became a Manor House resident in mid-March 2023. We were very uneasy about placing him in a nursing home but his medical needs meant we had no choice. From the moment we walked through the door we felt much more at ease; the smell of the lunch was delicious, the place was clean and the staff were very welcoming and informative. However, it is the care from the staff that we were most impressed with. Dad had advanced Parkinson's and struggled with all oral intake, and with any kind of movement but he was very well cared for both emotionally and physically, and he was treated with dignity and respect. In his final week, we knew he would pass away soon and during this time the staff were not only very attentive towards Dad but also caring and supportive to us as a family. When we commenced the process of seeking a nursing home for Dad, there were many factors for us to consider but the quality of care and support was top of the list and Manor House Nursing Home delivered! Thank you!
All staff are very polite, helpful and it is clear that they care. Certain rooms could do with some TLC. Holes in walls filled in and coat of paint. Overall experience is excellent.
My uncle is in the Manor House Nursing home in Stafford. He has old age Dementia but is still the lovely man he always was. He celebrated his 90th birthday on Friday 1st July 2022. The help given to my uncle by the Manor House staff I can’t praise enough. On the occasion of his 90th birthday, the catering staff gave me all the help I needed to put on a small party to celebrate with his wife and a few close friends. They went above and beyond their call of duty to supply a beautifully presented buffet with everything we needed at hand to have a lovely afternoon celebration. Thank you to all the staff at the Manor House for the superb way in which my uncle is looked after and for making his birthday buffet such a success. Special thanks to his carer who couldn’t be there that day, as he was not feeling well. We missed you.
Our brother was only at the home for 8 days before he passed away but our family saw a dramatic improvement in him. He was happy, joking and eating all of which he didn't do before he went into Manor House Nursing Home. The staff were all friendly, professional and helpful and they all seemed to love our brother's character. Thank you all for the great care and respect you gave to our brother during his last days with us. You made his last days pleasurable having given him a little independence and a warm friendly caring place to lay his weary head for the last time. Thank you all.
Mom came to Manor House Nursing Home for her end of life, so was only there for a few days. Whilst the home is looking a little tired, the decor was not our first priority. Mom had been in hospital for 8-weeks, and we were desperate to get her out to give her some peace and quiet in her final days, and that’s exactly what she got. The home was clean, lovely and warm. I can’t comment on the food as I have said Mom was in here for her end of life. All of the staff were amazing, from keeping her respect and dignity to just being lovely to her and us. Our family will never be able to thank you enough; you're amazing.
I’m not one who takes the time to write reviews, however, after the amazing care my mother received at Manor House then I have to. As a family, our greatest fear was that our beloved mother would have to spend part of her life in a nursing home, however, after a fall and worsening health in hospital she was transferred to Manor House. From the first second, our mother was treated with care and compassion and that was also how we felt. In a few short days, the staff became people we could talk to and shared their experiences with us. Every staff member should be congratulated for really caring and not treating our mother as yet another resident or just another day at work for them. Special thanks to all the staff. The way they cared for Mother in her last few days and the way they handled Mother's passing and the family will stay with us. Thank you for all you did.
Very good, all round care home.
The staff put on an excellent party, thank you.
My father has been at the Manor for several years and has never complained. He is treated as an individual, and staff have catered to his personal and care needs. When I have visited, I have been treated well, and the staff are always welcoming and courteous. I have particularly noticed the high standards of hygiene and cleanliness. Although it has been an exceptionally challenging time, I have always had confidence with the home.
Generally good. But due to COVID, have not seen my grate aunt's room or the facilities. Note my rating for value for money, I do find it expensive!
My husband is in his 3rd month at Manor House. He is very settled and happy. He speaks well of the staff and how they look after him. He's always clean and well cared for. When I visit or phone I'm treated with courtesy and friendliness. I definitely made the right choice.
Very friendly staff and the home is very clean. Professional service.
