I was very upset when my husband had to go into care and leave home. The home he is in now have helped me and my husband to settle. The staff are so helpful and the management also helped me come to terms with my life as it is now. The home is spotlessly clean and the laundry girls are wonderful as are the care staff and nurses. If I can only praise all the staff at the home. Nothing is ever perfect but I'm happy with my husband's care.
All of the staff show great care in looking after my father. He is very settled and interacts really well with his carers. The home is always clean and well run. It is pleasing to see lots of activities for the residents. The staff are also kind to family members and show compassion in a stressful time for us.
My wife has been a resident of this care home for 9 years, suffering from dementia and the effects of a stroke. I cannot praise the home too highly for the outstanding care she had received during this time, which has contributed to her overall comfort and security, in a very supportive environment. All aspects of the home are to be commended.
Wonderful organisation. Very welcoming by every member of staff I came into contact with. My mum was looked after very well from the time she went to Park Farm Lodge until the time she sadly died, weeks later. The staff showed great respect and compassion, for which I will always be truly grateful. They are able to answer any questions promptly. I have no doubt at all about recommending Park Farm Lodge.
My loved one is taken great care of by the staff of this friendly care home. Park Farm Lodge always make us feel welcome whenever we visit. It's a relief to know that visiting hours are so relaxed and the staff are able to accommodate the visits of shift workers. I would have no hesitation in recommending Park Farm Lodge.
My brother who is totally deaf, moved into Park Farm Lodge Care Home four years ago. Previously he had lived independently but with twenty-four-hour care provided, unfortunately, during this time he was constantly being admitted to hospital. Since being cared for at Park Farm his hospital admissions have been reduced to zero. I and my brother are both happy and more than satisfied with his care at Park Farm and it has also taken the pressure of responsibility off me for which I am truly grateful.
My husband was very well cared for in every way, the staff were very friendly and helpful. They couldn't do enough for you and they looked after the visitors as well. The room was spotless and would highly recommend.
There are not enough words to say how we feel about all the staff at Park Farm Lodge. From our first visit to our last everyone was amazing. The care, compassion, love and understanding was second to none, along with good humour when needed. My mom could not have been looked after better, you really put the 'c' into care. Thank you for looking after Mom and us.
Mum was here for about 8 months and we have nothing but praise for the care shown to Mum throughout her stay. They not only cared for her physical needs but they cared about her too and a welcome change to the experience in hospital! The home is relaxed and for the most part residents are allowed to wonder around as they please and there always seem to be activities organised for those that want to participate. It's not a place you'd ever be lonely for sure. The elderly can often be challenging to care for, but we can only thank and praise the staff for making Mum's stay there as pleasant as it could be and it was of great comfort to us that she was safe and cared for.
I cannot speak highly enough about the care my mom received while at Park Farm Lodge. From the handymen, nurses, carers, the entertainment staff and also management, everyone took time to say hello and have a few words with her. It gave us peace of mind knowing Mom was so very looked after. We consider ourselves so very lucky that Mom was placed in your care.
My mum was very happy here and I had no concerns regarding her care and treatment. The staff are delightful and caring and treated my mum with care and respect. They went out of their way to offer food to interest her even if it wasn’t on the daily menu. The activities team brightened her days and she looked forward to the experiences they offered. As a family member, I was both kept informed and listened to.
I want to thank all the care staff at Park Farm for the care, consideration, and thoughtfulness they had shown to my Dad. Your actions made a significant on my Dad's life and I will never forget that. I am incredibly grateful for everything you did for my Dad.
My aunt was brought to Park Farm for respite. Within 3 weeks max, the family observed that her hair and bed bath was not done until afternoon. Not acceptable as my aunt is totally bed ridden, cannot care hygienically for herself, she would have been left in soiled incontinence pants for 15 hours or more. A breeding ground for urinary infections. She could not feed or drink herself, needed full assistance. Meal times they fed her then left her with a drink that she could not reach or handle herself. I spoke to the nurse in charge numerous times but felt what I said fell on deaf ears. Disgustingly my aunt became severely ill with sepsis. In the family's opinion we don't think the staff were fully trained or aware of the urgency or symptoms of sepsis. My sister begged them to get the doctor. It took 3 days before the paramedics were called, they were shocked they had not been called out at least 48 hours prior! We do not advise anyone to go there! My aunt will never recover fully again.
My Aunt was brought here for respite with a view to becoming permanent. During the 4 weeks she was there I had to constantly remind staff she needed full assistance with eating and drinking. Most days I got there she hadn't been washed or changed etc, even in the afternoon. My aunt is bedridden and can't do any of these things herself. She became very ill and I begged them to get a doctor but they said her obs were fine. The next day she was admitted to the hospital with severe sepsis which they missed all the signs of. To this day, two months after she's still in hospital. The family felt very let down and shocked.
I have supervised my relative's care for many years while she insisted on staying in her own home, so I know how difficult it can be to keep her clean and safe. The staff have shown a great deal of patience and forbearance with her since she has been at Park Farm Lodge and also great kindness towards her. My relative appreciates this and had often told me how they "all do their best", something she has not previously noticed. Also, comment on the "good" meals.
Dad moved into Park Farm after a very unsettled period of approximately 2 months of hospital visits/stays. After an initial period of time, he looked relaxed and so happy. I cannot thank all the staff enough as both my mind/my brother's mind are now at ease as Dad has settled and is 'at home'.
I was a little worried putting my nan in a care home and all the ones in my area have bad reviews. But from the first viewing until this day, I can not fault the place. All of the carers have been amazing. So friendly and helpful. Always welcoming and smiling no matter what time we have turned up. Receptionists and managers also very helpful. Just haven't got a bad word to say. Brilliant. Thank you all.
We are so happy with my aunt's care. Staff go the extra mile to make sure residents feel cared for. My aunt, who was very frail and had fallen several times is now well looked after. A huge thank you to all who work at the home - my aunt thinks she is on holiday!
I would like to thank all the staff of Park Farm Lodge for the excellent nursing care they gave my Mother when she had four weeks respite care. Every member of staff I met was caring, helpful and happy. I felt assured that my Mother was safe and well cared for whilst there.
