Mum needed a change to a nursing care setting a year ago after several falls in her previous residential care home. I find it difficult to fault the service from Bentley both in terms of the way in which mum was welcomed into the home and her care since. Bentley have met some challenges with a caring, flexible, cautious and professional approach. Family involvement has been welcomed and we are kept well informed. It's good to know mum is safe.
My father has now been in Bentley House for almost 2 years he is 97 years old in June, I did not expect him to live more than 3 months when he moved in to Bentley House. Because of the excellent care he is receiving i would not be surprised for him to reach his hundredth birthday. The quality of the staff is excellent the food is all cooked on the premises and is of a very high standard and all sourced locally. The facilities are continually being improved and decorated . The efforts they go to to for Christmas decorations and other special days is brilliant
My dearest friend came to Bentley House from hospital at the very difficult time of Covid. It was a time of great concern. Over the years the management and all staff, have got to know my friends personally needs and have built a friendly caring relationship with her. It's not All been plain sailing, but any problems or concerns have always been dealt with professionalism, caring, and compassion, both with the Resident and us. My friend is content, and well looked after, with compassion care that fit her needs. Thank you All.
My Mother has Alzheimer's and can be quite a handful at times. She has been cared for by Bentley House Nursing Home for nearly a year and I cannot praise the staff and management highly enough. The care and affection she receives is excellent. Mum has eventually settled down and has a great rapport with all the staff its lovely to see her smiling and happy we couldn't ask for more really.
After my mother had problems adjusting to being in a care home environment at a previous home Bentley House welcomed her with open arms. As a family we were amazed with the compassion and care from the first day . The entire staff treated her like family. She has settled in and thanks to the great food has managed to gain some much needed weight and she is relaxed and smiling again!! I am so grateful for their commitment and care of my mum. They all work together like an extended family unit and embrace the idiosyncrasies of each resident. I am so pleased we found them.
The care my mom has is second to none, all of the staff know every one by name, they all give as much love and care to each and everyone of the residents wether they are rushed off their feet or not. This goes for all management staff also, every one makes time to make sure residents are safe, what ever their problems they are all involved with activities as much as possible.
My mother's dementia became so bad that we finally had to accept that she needed to move into a specialist dementia care home with nursing care and so, in May 2023 we began our search for the right care home. Our overriding need was for a care home that was resident and family-focused and from our first meeting with the staff at Bentley House Nursing Home, we had a sense that all the staff were caring people who would do their best for my mother in a human and compassionate way. And so we took the decision, after a lot of thought and discussion and after looking at alternatives, to place my mum in Bentley House and it has proven to be an excellent decision. All the staff have treated my mother and our family wonderfully and that is from the care home management team to the care staff, the catering staff and the housekeeping staff: everyone. There were teething problems and there have been hiccups but those have all been dealt with superbly and that has been a real strength of Bentley House.
Bentley House is a wonderful care home. The staff are brilliant with the residents. The activities are really good they do something every day. The food is brilliant as good as a 5-star hotel. Even the pureed food is all displayed separately on the plate. I can’t fault it at all.
My dad went to Bentley House Nursing Home after a long stay in hospital, didn't take him long to settle, the home was clean and all Dad's needs were met. All the staff went out of their way to make Dad comfortable and happy. They were friendly and caring from the cleaner who he'd blow a kiss to every day, to the efficient staff, who were dedicated and showed empathy to Dad and to his family, they supported us all through my dad's final days, we are so thankful, they couldn't have done any more and they are led by a caring and efficient management team. I would recommend this home.
From the day my dad became a resident for the final months of his life, I cannot express my thanks and gratitude to all of the staff, from cleaners, laundry, caters, admin staff and management. Bentley House Nursing Home is homely and they make you feel at home and welcome for both residents and family members. Nothing is too much trouble to them. Their caring is second to none and my dad constantly said how happy and content he was. I would not hesitate in recommending this home to the extent I said I may see them myself in years to come.
Dad went to Bentley House Nursing Home in September 2020 after being admitted to the hospital and having fallen at home. The staff are very caring and patient. He always enjoyed the food! There are plenty of activities and entertainment provided for the residents. The end-of-life care given was exceptional and great kindness and compassion were shown to myself and Dad.
Wonderful service, friendly and very caring staff. Fantastic food. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Fully recommend this home, both my mother and father are residents and have totally different needs.
The staff and carers here are wonderful at looking after my uncle. He is treated exceptionally well and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. I am always made to feel welcome. The new chef is outstanding, the quality of food is great and my uncle enjoys the puddings in particular! They always have activities going on such as card making, nail painting and seed planting and you can tell that the staff really care about the residents.
My brother has been a resident for the last sixteen months, in that time, he has been well cared for and well looked after, I think that the staff is it's biggest assets and are to be commended. Whilst he has been there they have organised loads of events and have used the well kept garden to full effect.
My brother is a resident here and has a terminal illness, and this weekend was his daughter's wedding, which he was able to come to due to the care home helping him attend. His carer, who was amazing, caring and helpful, just looked after my brother in the best way. Thank you so much for this, especially his carer; what an amazing young lady.
Care in Bentley House can only be described as excellent. The rooms are well presented, the staff are very caring and attentive. My mum's end of life care was excellent. Caring and knowledgable nursing staff and caring staff were very friendly and loving towards mum she was kept comfortable and pain-free and passed away peacefully. I would recommend Bentley House every time.
An extremely well-managed home and staff were polite and friendly. Our relative was treated with respect and dignity throughout the stay. Any questions or concerns we had were listened to and where the appropriate change made. The home itself, whilst an old building, was immaculately clean throughout. The food provided was plentiful and again the staff were wonderful in ensuring food was eaten, or if an alternative was asked for, it was provided. The regime of keeping patients hydrated was also very good as was the provision and management of medication. The home also had a really good daily activities programme, which was designed to engage and entertain the residents, from singers to visiting donkeys. It really is an exceptional home and everyone working there demonstrates a real genuine desire to do there very best for the residents.
My mum spent her final months of her earthly life in Bentley from the beginning of June to the end of September and I could not have wished for anything better for her. The care, compassion, kindness, support and attention given to her when she needed it most was amazing. Mum was treated with respect and dignity by all of the staff and they became an extended part of her family. Our family will be forever grateful to everyone for giving mum a fitting end to a wonderful life.
