View Full Details of Bromson Hill Care HomeI am very satisfied with the care, love and support which is given. Excellent staff are always loving and supportive.
My mother has been in Bromson Hill Care Home for nearly two weeks. The care is excellent. You can feel the compassion when you walk through the door. The leadership is excellent and reflected in the staff in their attitude, openness and care. Residents are treated with respect and dignity. Staff know residents' history - what they did for a living, their interests etc. They offer whatever food someone may want - sometimes getting lots of different things to encourage residents in eating. Overall, an excellent facility. People smile.
Management and staff are caring and thorough. The building is homely and has a good variety of rooms and common areas to suit the needs of noisy and quiet residents. Staff are very good at guiding and diverting residents when necessary.
Overall I have no complaints or any issues regarding Mother's care. The staff are all attentive and helpful. There is always a smile on their faces.
Care at the home for residents is excellent, all visitors are welcomed at all times and updates to families are available at all times. Residents are always encouraged to participate in activities, alone or in groups. Residents are nutritiously fed, their needs are always attended to, e.g. hygiene, health.
Staff are very caring and treat everyone like their extended family. Residents are safe and cared for, there are also many lovely activities to keep residents active. The home is clean, and there are never any bad smells. It's a beautiful property, not modern but the general age of residents don't necessarily want modern.
My sister-in-law enjoyed her recent respite stay at Bromson Hill and really appreciated the birthday party organised for her. The staff were very caring and friendly. She has said she is happy to return to stay there again.
So far, I’m really impressed with the care being given. Time is being taken to get to know my aunt and understand her needs. I’m sure that this will continue but as a reviewer, I’d be happy to say more in the future, once I’ve experienced more. We were able to experience the fun of the dancing activities and enjoy a lovely lunch when first bringing my aunt to Bromson Hill Care Home. As with all older properties, there is work to be done but there appears to be a maintenance plan in hand.
My dad had a stroke last December after a long stay in the hospital and assessment home and was eventually transferred to Bromson Hill just over three weeks ago. Since arriving, the staff have been so welcoming and kind and cannot do enough for Dad and our family when visiting. Although Dad is immobile and bedridden, the staff will always help Dad into his special wheelchair daily and actively encourage him to join the other residents in activities or simply to wheel him outside for some fresh air. Bromson Hill is a happy home, the staff are always smiling and interacting with the residents, regularly singing and dancing with them. Dad is frequently checked with repositioning when in bed and turns for his comfort. He is assisted with all his needs of daily living, including assistance to eat and drink. As a family, we are very pleased with Bromson Hill and grateful for the patience, assistance and care they provide to Dad.
The wonderful staff at Bromson Hill took great care of my Auntie, so much so that she has only recently died, just short of her 102nd birthday. As a family, we have been reassured that safe hands were looking after her so well. We had a delightful tea to celebrate her 100th birthday and two members of staff came to her Thanksgiving service which meant a lot to us. We had a lovely tour of the home afterward and were very impressed, particularly with the staff. The outside of the home has had a lick of paint too! Thank you so much - you do an amazing job, often unrecognized.
Bromson Hill is a lovely care home thanks to the kind considerate carers the most important thing when being cared for and the professional management. I trust the staff as I know by Mum's appearance and disposition that she is well cared for. The staff always take time to speak and are welcoming and it is lovely that we can visit at any time. Whilst the building is more traditional than some newer care homes it is clean and well maintained and it feels secure as there are the same regular staff on site. I feel fortunate that Mum has a place here and would not hesitate to recommend.
This nursing home provides everything that matters - care, kindness, commitment and professionalism. If there is a vacancy don't hesitate!
My mum was moved to Bromson Hill from hospital March 2023. I cannot praise the staff enough, nothing was too much trouble. They treated my mum like she was part of the family. I knew my mum was in a safe place and was well looked after. Unfortunately, she passed away in December, but even at what was a difficult time, the staff gave 100% care till the end.
My Dad has advanced Alzheimer's and has been at Bromson Hill since September 2023. He is very settled and particularly enjoys the music and company of other residents. It was a difficult decision for us to move Dad into a nursing home but my sister and I are extremely happy with the care provided, all of the carers are compassionate and look after Dad as if he was their own family. We are assured that he is safe and well cared for.
I was the LPA/solicitor and good friend of two of Bromson Hill Care Home's residents, who were there from January 2021 through February 2023. The building itself is older and for that reason could use some repair, but it was maintained well overall, especially given the difficulties of being in the health care field during Covid. The facility managed the throes of Covid using every available precaution for the residents. My friends were served hearty, healthy meals. They received appropriate medical attention when they needed it. The staff seemed to be caring and attentive to their needs. In fact, my friends often spoke highly of the staff to me. I felt they received very good care while there. Early on, there was one gent who was in management who my friends found to be difficult and unpleasant, but he left the facility and was replaced by a wonderful manager. Bromson Hill has several rooms which vary in size, but which are all comfortably appointed. The security is good.
My wife of 59 years suffering from Advanced Dementia was moved by The NHS Continuing Health Care Team from hospital in Rugby to Bromson Hill Care Home in August 2022. The level of care she receives exactly matches the level of very high dependency she needs. She receives 24/7 nursing there and she was moved there because no other home in the are we live in could cope with her needs. She is settled and happy there and has a good relationship with all the staff who clearly love her and she is very safe there. I and my family visit regularly and at different times and are impressed at the close attention she receives. The staff also have a close relationship with us and respond well to our view of her preferences. The staff invite us to social events there and we are always welcome and we feel at home there too. The actual building is almost historic and shows its age, but is well equipped and very well organised and run by a consistently dedicated team.
My husband has very complex care needs and Bromson Hill has provided a very comprehensive nursing and care package. The management and staff are friendly, caring and professional in all regards. The home is well maintained, in lovely grounds, with a very happy atmosphere and all residents are treated with the greatest of respect.
The staff at Bromson Hill are what makes this nursing home stand out for me. The team are friendly, patient and very kind to the residents making it feel very homely. My mum has been at the home for 6 months and has settled in well. Although she doesn't have dementia, the staff take time to talk to her and encourage her to participate in activities that are laid on. It's always lovely to receive photos of special occasions and families are invited to join in celebrations. Thank you to the manager and your fabulous team!
Lovely nursing home for my mum who has dementia. It is clean and has the feel of a family home. The staff are wonderful and my mum is safe and cared for and loved and happy. We have been sent pictures of her singing and dancing! The management have gone out of their way to make sure that my dad who visits is cared for too. A very romantic table was set for him and Mum on Valentine's Day and recently when he visited on his birthday they made a little celebration for him, much to his embarrassment but pleasure. It takes the weight off our minds to know that both our parents are cared for. Thank you Bromson Hill.
My wife has resided in Bromson Hill Nursing Home since 1st September 2021. During that time, I have been pleased to witness a great improvement in the appearance of the interior of the building and the exterior. The care staff are very patient and loving towards my wife, who suffers from dementia and several other problems. She assures me that she is well cared for and I believe that is so.
