View Full Details of St Mary's Nursing HomeI just want to say thank you to all the staff that looked after my mother-in-law during her final months. Everyone was so caring and friendly. All the family felt that such an effort had been made to make us all feel welcomed and cared for. Thank you so much.
Place lovely. Staff very helpful. And my dad is very happy.
My elderly mother was transferred here from the hospital during the final stages of her life. The home was always homely, caring and welcoming and my family and I were always kept updated, l and given the time from all the staff. The staff were always friendly and did whatever they could to keep my mother comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. We will always be grateful for looking after her to the end. Thank you.
We were very relieved to find a safe, comfortable place for my mother when she became too frail to be cared for at home. The standard of care was very good and plans adapted, as Mother's condition became worse. Every member of staff was kind, friendly and conscientious. Their kindness extended to our whole family, with great sympathy shown as it became clear Mother was nearing the end of her life. Sadly, Mother was too unwell to benefit from the activities on offer, but I was impressed by the variety available with the resident's interests and tastes being considered.
St Mary's has provided the best service possible to my father-in-law. All the staff have been friendly, helpful, professional and nothing is too much trouble. The staff and management really care, which for a 99-year-old is really important. We could not have entrusted his care to anywhere better.
Exceptional care for my mum. Great care staff give 100% attention and care. I couldn't recommend them enough. All staff including maintenance, cleaning, housekeeping and office are all so professional and friendly. I absolutely think they are the best for my mum's welfare and health. Definitely recommend this care home, St Mary's.
My nan required nursing care after living at a residential home for many years; unfortunately, they couldn’t meet her needs anymore. As a family, we were very worried about her moving as she was settled where she was. I chose St Mary’s from word of mouth, and honestly, it was the best choice I made. All of the carers, nurses, management as well as other roles made my nan and our family feel so welcome. They were quick to answer call bells, and nothing was too much trouble. The care my nan received, I was more than happy with. Unfortunately, my nan was only there for six weeks until she passed, and the end-of-life care was amazing. The support we were given was genuine, and I am so thankful to each and every single one of you. I am so grateful she wasn’t alone during her final moments, as we had just pulled up and just missed her. Thank you, St Mary’s; we will forever be grateful.
After a long stay in hospital, my mum was fast-tracked to St Mary's. l looked at several homes, but this one is very special. From the moment l stepped through the door, l could feel the love and care from the whole team. She was admitted three days later. Mum was very happy there. The room was very clean, and the food was very good. The staff were amazing, and nothing was too much trouble for them. My mum passed away very peacefully with all the family around. I will never forget the kindness, hospitality and dignity shown to my mum by the angels who helped my lovely mum. Thank you.
My wife was looked after so well by all the staff at St Mary's Nursing Home. The care and kindness she received was second to none. The staff all treated her with respect and spent quality time with her. They were also very good to me, giving me meals and the offer of a bed for me when the end was near. Overall, she was looked after better than I could do at home. Also, it was very clear that she trusted them. All the staff and management team should be proud of themselves.
The care and support provided to my mother was first-rate throughout. She was happy, comfortable, engaged and well cared for throughout her entire seven-month residence. The compassion and care shown by all the staff and management, during her last few days was outstanding and much appreciated by all of the family.
Was put here after a period in hospital for a period of rehab. The care home was great. The room was excellent, the staff were excellent, the food was excellent, and the care was excellent. Couldn't ask for more from a care home.
My father was discharged from the hospital under the fast track scheme to St Mary's and was not expected to live more than a week or two. In the event, he was there for ten weeks, and this is a testament to their exemplary care. During his stay, he was treated with such kindness, compassion and dignity. Our family was always welcomed in the same manner, and I felt that the staff were genuinely interested in us. I cannot speak highly enough of everyone at St Mary's
We were so fortunate that our dad was placed at St Mary's. He could have his moments, but he was treated by staff and management alike with patience and kindness. We thank them from the bottom of our hearts for making him feel settled and comfortable during the three years he spent there.
A beautiful home with friendly, caring staff. The warmth shines through, and every member of the staff was helpful and welcoming. Very secure when entering and spotlessly clean, beautiful gardens. A lovely environment for someone to end their days.
St Mary's gave my dad care, compassion and kindness until his passing in July 2022. All staff, management and carers, nurses cleaning staff, etc are friendly, welcoming and really helpful. They treat all residents with the care and respect they deserve. Rooms and adjoining areas are of the highest standard of cleanliness. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained.
From the moment our mum arrived, the staff have shown nothing but professional care and attention to her. She is very contented in her room and loves the staff that really cares for her. We can't thank you enough.
My dad was in the later stages of Dementia when he arrived at St Mary's Nursing Home. All the family were so comforted that Dad spent the last 10-months of his life in a caring environment. He was always treated with the utmost dignity and respect. The management was always so helpful and supportive. All through Covid times as well, so an extra challenge for all. Thank you, St Mary's.
It is difficult to review the past 12-months as access to the home has been limited, however, with the health condition of my friend, it is difficult to assess the standard of care. When we have gone into the home, she has always been made comfortable and kept clean and tidy. We are given updates on her condition if we ask. Overall, she is well looked after. The home has been very strict in maintaining the Government Covid rules and regulations.
St Mary's provides an excellent service to residents with dementia. They are very caring and give excellent service and support to the family and residents which has been extremely challenging due to the pandemic. I feel that my mum's needs are met and I have no concerns with her care.
My father went into St Mary's just prior to "lockdown". It was a very difficult time, but all the staff made the whole time much more bearable. We were informed of what was going on in the home, visiting etc, and how my dad was. They are always kind, caring and helpful.
