View Full Details of Mockley ManorI can not praise Mockley Manor enough for the way they have supported my father over recent weeks. He was discharged from hospital for a period of assessment to evaluate his care needs. During these weeks the care and encouragement he received from staff has been outstanding. The other important factor has been the excellent communication from the manager and receptionist. He was then assessed as needing permanent care. We were delighted when Mockley Manor said that a bed was available and this was quickly and efficiently agreed upon. In the past few weeks he has regained his mobility, become much more positive in his mood and has made friends. He keeps on saying how everyone is so smiley. He also says "I can't believe how well things have worked out". Neither can we, so thanks to the whole team at Mockley Manor.
I was so thankful that we were given the space and support to spend so much time with my sister in her final weeks at Mockley Manor. It was very much the next best thing to her being in her own home. Acknowledging my personal need for lots of information, there were times when I would have welcomed a little more proactive contact with the nursing staff - for example explaining what the GP has prescribed and what drugs were for - but my questions were always answered once asked. I totally appreciate how many residents the staff have to look after but would have appreciated them observing my sister more so they could see what we were seeing e.g her cerebral agitation. Overall, I'm so grateful for the dignity and respect shown to my sister by everyone. My heartfelt thanks.
The care home manager and all of the staff we met were professional but very caring. The medical care was excellent. Unfortunately my wife's stay was only 5 weeks but the staff went out of their way to make her stay as comfortable as possible.
My mother has been a resident at Mockley Manor for several years. She is extremely happy and well looked after in a friendly environment. Every member of staff we meet are very friendly and welcoming which makes for a relaxing family atmosphere. If there are any issues (of which we have had very few over the years) they are dealt with very quickly. My family and I are very happy with the care Mum has received over the years.
Mother of a friend has relocated back from France. The Care Home Manager and her team have ensured that their new resident has settled in quickly. From the very 1st contact have been so supportive and helpful to family members and friends alike. Communication has been excellent throughout, and every staff member has played a part to ensure a smooth transition with minimal fuss and stress. She is already thriving with the care and attention staff are providing. Thank you very much.
My mum was in Mockley Manor for short stay care. The home care manager, the carers and other staff were very supportive to both mum and myself throughout Mum's stay. The home was very clean and the staff went above and beyond making my mum's stay as comfortable as possible, any issues were dealt with in a professional and caring manner.
The premises are clean and welcoming, with furnishings kept in a very good state of repair. The staff are kind and displayed a pleasant manner with my nan and grandad and showed me courtesy to me and to my partner.
My mum spent the last 15 months of her life at Mockley Manor and I was so impressed with how well the home is run, how clean it is, how comfortable and bright the rooms are and how friendly the staff are towards the residents. They cared for my mum so considerately, especially in her last few days when she was on 'end of life' care. When my mum first needed to go into a nursing/care home, it was a daunting prospect as there were so many choices. But when she ended up in Mockley Manor, I knew I had made the right choice. I would heartily recommend them to anyone looking for the right nursing home for a loved one.
My dad has been a resident at Mockley Manor care home since October 2023. Finding the right care home for someone you love is so important and I couldn’t recommend Mockley Manor enough. The care home is set in beautiful grounds with lots of wildlife. As soon as you step inside, there is always a lovely warm welcome from reception. The first thing you notice is how well the care home is cared for, it is so clean and well-maintained. All of the staff that work here are friendly and they always manage to have a smile, many have been here for a long time and it feels like a big family. There are one or two shining stars, unfortunately you’re not allowed to name them, I hope they know who they are. The entertainment team make a real difference too. I spend a lot of time here assisting my dad so I can write all these words from the heart. I feel that all of the above is down to the fact that the management are outstanding and they should be very proud of what they have accomplished here.
The care received by my dad from his admission in June 2022 to his passing away in April 2023 was second to none. All the staff were caring, compassionate and approachable and it gave me, my brother, sister, grandson and extended family and friends great comfort to able to visit at any time. During his time here we were kept involved in all aspects of his care and when he passed away we were given as much time as we needed to be with him. Many, many thanks for the care he was given by you all.
My father was a resident at Mockley Manor Care Home for two and a half years. Throughout he was treated with dignity and love; the team there kept us well informed. They were happy to deal with all of our questions over that time, and there were many. They were especially helpful and considerate in his last few days and allowed us the time and space to say goodbye properly.
Since my father has been a resident at Mockley Manor, I have been delighted with the care he receives. The staff are fantastic in the care they give and the genuine warmth and kindness that they show. I really can't fault anything at all, a wonderful place.
My dear Mam passed away on Saturday the 3rd of June 2023. She was at Mockley Manor for 10 weeks. Although she was on end-of-life care she loved it there until she deteriorated and no long was aware of her surroundings. I cannot stress enough how wonderful and compassionate all the staff were, they deserve a medal. Thank you to all of them.
My cousin was admitted to Mockley Manor in April 2020, and until her death in May 2023, the staff were caring and mindful of her wishes. She was well supported throughout her stay, with staff 'going the extra mile' to ensure she was comfortable and had what she required. Communication with the staff (particularly the manager) was freely available, which was important as I live a considerable distance from Mockley Manor.
The care given to my mother and also to our family was first-class. The staff were always friendly and always willing to help or take the time to listen. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Mockley Manor provided a safe, friendly and caring home to my mother and I will always be so thankful that we chose this home. Losing Mum was always going to be an awful time. Mockley and its staff gave us the chance to stay by Mum's side in her final hours, supporting us, caring for us and treating Mum with dignity and kindness. They made a very stressful time more bearable and me, my brother and my sister will always be grateful. Thank you to all the staff. You genuinely care for your residents and it shows!
We always found staff pleasant to deal with and felt she was safe. She felt comfortable and made genuine relationships with a number of carers. Any of our concerns were always dealt with quickly and satisfactorily.
My 93 year old Dad spent the last 6 weeks of his life at Mockley Manor and I can't thank the manager and her wonderful team enough for the care, compassion and love shown to him during this difficult time. Mum was also admitted to the home to allow her to be with Dad during his final weeks and continues to be a resident. She can't speak highly enough of the management and staff who have gone out of their way to help and support her through her loss. She suffers with Parkinson's and has significant mobility issues, but the home has well qualified and experienced staff to care for her needs. Thanks to the manager and the whole team for making a really tough past few weeks much more bearable for our family.
My Father spent his final ten months as a much-loved resident in this well-managed and caring environment. The professional team that looked after him was dedicated, committed, attentive, warm and friendly with him and his visitors. Medical interventions were prompt. Caring support was continual and of consistently high quality. I spent a lot of time on-site making these observations. Mockley Manor has the advantage of being a recently constructed home and it is well-maintained. The rooms are well designed, spacious and well equipped, whilst communal areas and catering facilities are reassuringly appropriate. Activities are being enhanced with the appointment of energetic organisers. Crucially, the Manager of this home is utterly dedicated to the residents in her care.
The care that the staff at Mockley Manor provided for my mother was excellent. Her complex needs were catered for with empathy and respect. It is a warm and welcoming home in a peaceful location. Visitors are always made to feel welcome. Communication is excellent.
Mum was admitted to Mockley Manor in may after a stay in hospital. Mum has settled well, had great rehabilitation support, and is now up and about sorting us all out. The team have gone above and beyond to help get Mum back on her feet so that we can now move Mum back home. Everyone was so welcoming to me and our family and Mum has made great friends with the staff. We cannot thank you all enough! I would recommend Mockley Manor to anyone seeking care.
