View Full Details of Stratford BentleyThe Stratford Bentley has a nice welcoming feel when you walk in. It doesn't smell and is always bright and clean with fresh flowers and often cakes in reception. It is an older-style building but is kept clean and has a nice family feel to it. Families are welcome to visit at any time and nothing feels like too much trouble.
I would recommend this nursing home very highly. Very caring staff and calm atmosphere. This is a small nursing home where residents are treated as individuals.
My husband has vascular dementia. The nurses and carers have created a happy and cheerful relationship with him. They are also kind and welcoming to me and to his other visitors. Regular meetings are held with the resident's relatives to give them the opportunity to raise any concerns or suggest any changes. I very much appreciate the fact that although there are the inevitable staff changes, these are relatively infrequent. He is very well and professionally cared for.
Am happy with the care my mother is given, which gives me peace of mind that she is safe and well looked after. Staff are friendly and do a good job.
Stratford Bentley looked after Mum for 6 years including through the pandemic. We couldn't have asked for better care; physically, mentally, emotionally, medically and through activities. We agreed on an end-of-life plan for Mum and it was fully implemented with care and dignity. All the staff were brilliant with Mum and the Bentley was a real home for her. Although none of us lived locally we all enjoyed our visits and joining Mum in the range of activities that she was able to join.
My dad loved being in the Bentley. The staff were always so friendly and supportive. I couldn't have wished for more for dad. I know the last year of his life was one of the best.
My wife arrived at the Bentley care home in May 2019 following a stroke. She is unable to speak or talk and has other disabilities. Throughout her time at the Bentley, she has been unfailingly cared for in a totally professional manner by all members of staff. The environment is loving and caring led by a dedicated and experienced manager who has the full backing of her staff. A qualified nurse is in attendance throughout the day and night. I would highly recommend this establishment.
Excellent dignified care, my mother is treated with utmost respect and is very settled and happy. She is always looking forward to things and has enjoyed recently the DDay celebrations. Her health has improved greatly since being at the Bentley.
We feel lucky that the Stratford Bentley had a vacancy when Dad was no longer able to stay at home. It is well managed, well maintained and has a cheerful atmosphere. The staff are a lovely team. The carers are unfailingly kind and patient. The nurses are knowledgeable, and on the occasions that Dad's health has temporarily deteriorated they have been excellent at supporting him (and us). We visit a lot and it is nice to see all the activities on offer for those who want to join in. The food is great and they try hard to offer a variety. As a family, we really appreciate how professional, hard-working and friendly everyone is at the Stratford Bentley.
Mum has been cared for at Stratford Bentley for several years and in spite of her very limited mental and physical capacity, I feel that she has always been well looked after and is settled and as happy as she can be. I like the personal, family feeling which you don't get in larger care homes, and I feel confident that Mum is getting the best possible care.
Although our mum wasn't at Stratford Bentley for very long she was given the very best of care and above all kindness from every one of the staff. Our family were also given the utmost good care and were always welcome whatever time of day. We would recommend the Bentley nursing home to anyone seeking care without any hesitation.
A very caring staff and incredibly run by the manager. The care and attention has benefitted my mother without exception. From entering this establishment a little over twelve months ago her health and mental wellbeing has improved way beyond what was expected. No question is off limits and the amount of advice I have received from the Accounts Manager is invaluable. Cannot recommend enough.
My mother was a resident in Stratford Bentley for over two years, prior to her death in February 2024. Throughout her time at the home, she was treated with the utmost respect and care as were myself and my siblings. My mother was very happy to be in such a caring environment and in the last few weeks of end-of-life care we were kept fully informed and allowed to be with our mom daily. I can only say that Stratford Bentley is an excellent and outstanding care facility.
My 96-year-old mum has been a few months at Stratford Bentley after a long period of home care. We were concerned that the transition to a Nursing Home would be traumatic for her. This has not been the case and she is very happy there. The staff are friendly and there are some good group activities which encourage the residents to get to know each other. This gives us peace of mind.
We were very lucky to be able to get what initially we thought was respite care for my mother, at very short notice last September. One of my mother's neighbours is a teacher, who spent her student years working in care, her father was a resident for a short while, and she knew how well run it is. My mother's increasing frailty and susceptibility to falls was a problem, and she was hospitalised several times, and the subsequent home care wasn't sufficient. Stratford Bentley welcomed her from the last hospitalisation and has looked after her very well ever since. Her deteriorating physical health and dementia onset have been very well managed. The management and staff are first class, and all very friendly. The food provided is really good and has been tailored to the needs of the residents, in Mother's case, problems with swallowing. She has her hair done regularly and always looks her best. The home provides entertainment and craft activities. An excellent nursing home.
The care and attention provided for my wife, who is totally immobile, during the last four years have been outstanding. All the staff have been friendly and completely efficient, responding rapidly to her needs. They have also been completely supportive of me in what has been a very difficult period. I have no hesitation in recommending the home to those in need and have done so frequently.
My first impression was that every member of staff was friendly and spent time with us. My room was large, warm and comfortable. The menu is varied with choice and is maintained at a high standard. All staff were professional, caring and attentive. In my opinion, the standard of care is higher than any other home I have seen.
