View Full Details of Willow Tree Nursing HomeI visit mum regularly, at least once a week and I am always welcomed by the staff with a big smile and a good chat about all things, not just about mum. I always try to remember the staff names as this is important. If I have any issues when seeing mum, I ask the staff and they are always attentive and knowledgeable. If I have to ask any further questions when I'm not there, I send an email to the manager, which is always responded to very quickly. I do find mum's room quite soul-destroying and lacking in a little comfort, but we can change that ourselves by bringing in furnishings. However, with mum's dementia progressing she does not recognise many items from home, but she still needs to be comfortable.
The care and attention my mum was given at Willow Tree was brilliant. She had complex needs, suffering from both Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. The staff, especially the trained nurses were so professional in attending to her needs both medically but also in ensuring she was treated with compassion and respect. The home was cleaned to a very high standard and the food was cooked by a trained chef and was fantastic. When mum was in her final days they were great. Lots of advice, we could visit whenever we asked, even in the early hours of the morning. Thank you Willow Tree from the bottom of my heart You all made a very difficult time very bearable.
Given this home has had many managers I have found that this particular member of staff has brought stability and she demonstrates great leadership. It is incredibly important and reassuring to leave my mum in good safe hands.
This is a fantastic nursing home. Mum was sent here by the hospital after her previous care home told her to leave due to multiple falls. I was dreading it but it turned out to be brilliant and Mum loved it. Whereas she had been bed bound, here they hoisted her into a safe chair and sat her in the lounge to socialise and join in with activities - exercises, singing, crafts etc. Nothing was too much trouble for the carers and nurses. She was always supervised in the day and checked/repositioned throughout the night to prevent bed sores. They kept her clean and comfortable with frequent showers or bed baths, clean clothes every day, and her clothes all hung up so neatly. Mum's room was clean, pleasant and welcoming. She loved the food. The carers are all so kind and affectionate. Nurses very professional and attentive. They consulted with me about every aspect of Mum's care and helped me with complicated medical forms. They supported me personally when mum was at the end of her life.
I went to see my grandad at Willow Tree Nursing Home and was absolutely fuming when I got there. If I hadn't of got there when I did he would have been on the floor as he was hanging so far forward on his chair. I sat him up and made him comfortable and went in search of care staff to have a word and find out what was going on. His drinks table was on the opposite side of the room along with his call bell, he's not mobile so can't get up and reach what he needs if it is far away. When I got to him he looked so relieved that we were there saying he had been calling out but no one was coming! When I found a staff member I asked them what was going on. They apologised and told me they had only just started their shift which was fair enough I got there a little after 7pm. I asked when he had been changed she told me 6am then 9:45am and nothing again since. There is so much more to write in there but I am limited to 1000 characters. On this night they told me it was 2 carers to 22 residents.
My wife and I had been together for more than 56 years and Willow Tree Nursing Home would be our first separate homes. The home was very welcoming to my wife and looked after her with friendliness and genuine care. I think the home was very well run, clean, efficient and most of all the wonderful staff. Thank you, all.
My Mother sadly passed away at Willow Tree. The care and empathy shown by all the staff was exemplary. They couldn't have been more professional and dedicated. Towards the end the nursing required was fairly complex and I challenge anyone to find a better service in Rugby.
The staff are lovely and can't do enough. My dad was an active farmer and has settled really well. He is kept active and the staff are very attentive. Lovely location and easy access. Facilities are really good. I have experienced care homes in the past with grandparents and would definately recommend this one.
Care staff have always given my mum great care and looked after her even when they have been short staffed they have given their all. If ever we have had concerns management have sorted them straight away.
I was impressed by the care and compassion shown to my father by the care staff and nurses. The Christmas party for residents and guests was wonderful, with much genuine joy demonstrated by all of the staff who made every effort to involve the residents in the singing and dancing. We all had a great time. Thanks for all you do.
The loving care provided by the staff at Willow Tree is so appreciated. Many of the carers and nurses go the extra mile to care for the residents.
We are very happy with the care our mother is receiving. Every care is taken to look after her well being and she enjoys the friendly banter, raising a smile or a giggle and even a cheeky response from her at times. We really appreciate your hard work and compassion, thank you very much.
