View Full Details of Cedar Court Nursing HomeGreat care home, feel my nan is looked after fairly well. Sometimes no staff around in the day room, however majority of staff are friendly, easy to speak to, and treat us all like family. Always feel welcome when visiting. One staff member in particular always goes out of her way to speak to us on every visit, whether it's a quick hello, or a general chat. Only downside is when arriving (especially at weekends) when nobody is on reception, the buzzer doesn't seem to attract attention to staff, and therefore, can be waiting up to 15 mins to be let in to see our relatives. Overall though, it's a good care home and I would recommend.
On entering the care home we are always greeted with friendly smiling faces from the reception team. The manager, nurses, and carers are always very hard-working, busy, caring, and very helpful ,they are all friendly and approachable and always willing to help if you have any questions that need answering. The entertainments lady is always working very hard everyday to find different things to keep all the residents interested and happy.
Generally good care and food is good. The manager is very helpful, as are both the receptionists. Regularly do activities with the residents like bingo, dominoes and painting sometimes. Mum likes the exercises which one staff member in particular does a couple of times a week.
My mum is resident at Cedar Court Nursing Home and is really well looked after by amazing staff. Mum moved from another home and has come on so much. Mum loves the entertainment and crafts they have on daily. Every time I visit mum, she looks happy and content.
My wife has been in Cedar Court for the past 5 months and in that time, I have seen a great improvement in her eating and drinking. The staff have worked very hard to make this happen. She is always clean and tidy looking. The staff are very welcoming and helpful, so overall I'm pleased with the care she is receiving.
All the staff are friendly and helpful and the residents are looked after really well.
I can’t thank the staff enough for looking after my husband. The care they gave him was first class, they made all the family welcome and we were able to come and go as we pleased and I could return home knowing he was being well cared for. I would definitely recommend Cedar Court. I’d like to give a big thank you to the manager and her team from all the family.
I've always found the home very good and very safe and my mother is always well looked after.
The manager is clearly dedicated and very approachable. Her team of carers and nurses are very caring and efficient. The consistent provision of permanent staff (non-agency) helps maintain standards. I have every confidence in the good care; my wife is always clean, dressed and kept comfortable throughout the day. The team are welcoming to visitors and keep me well-informed.
Staff are always pleasant, helpful and willing, nothing is too much trouble. I have witnessed residents being fed and lifted, all with dignity. I leave my husband knowing he is well and truly cared for.
Dad was admitted initially for emergency respite. It was immediately apparent that the quality of care, the environment and thoughtfulness of the staff were exactly what he needed to continue with a safe, healthy and dignified life. As a family, we have every confidence in the quality of care he is receiving and we praise the hardworking staff.
All staff, manager and carers are all helpful, pleasant and treat Mum with respect. She is happy there. She looks well, has put weight on and her health is better.
My wife has great care provided by special people who have patience and understanding of the person's needs. Always happy and always helpful when asked any questions or for advice. A well-run home in a very special setting.
I was delighted with the change in my brother after his transfer to Cedar Court Nursing Home. I was happy to see him up and obviously less agitated. The staff have worked hard to improve his general well-being and I can't thank them enough. I live a great distance away and therefore rely on the staff totally. I am kept well informed and they are lovely when I get down to visit. I have been very happy to leave my brother in their care this past year. Thanks.
Having made the decision to remove my mother from a brand new dementia home in our local vicinity we were recommended Cedar Court Nursing Home. The manager conducted us around Cedar Court to see all their facilities and to meet staff. The home was clean and homely and all the staff were very friendly. Although the home was fifty minutes away we made the decision to take Mum there. Mum has settled in well. Her anxiety levels have dropped tremendously and her physical care is far, far better. Last year she was a frightened old lady of 99, badly bruised by mishandling and now she’s much calmer. The staff are bright and cheerful and I am confident Mum’s welfare is well catered for.
My mother has always received the very best care and attention during her stay. Although she has been in bed the whole time, she has and never has had, any breakdown of her skin which is truly remarkable given that she is now over 100 years of age, which is a testament to the quality of care she receives.
My wife has been a resident since 2015 and all the staff have been and still are brilliant. Always there to help and very friendly. I can't speak too highly of the staff. I just hope the owners realise what good and loyal staff they employ. I sometimes feel that they are under-appreciated by the management.
I am very happy with my mother's care at Cedar Court. She is well looked after. The care staff are very well trained and are excellent with the help they give my mother. The care staff and manager/sister in charge are wonderful and will talk to me about any concerns they have about my mother's situation from day to day.
Ourselves and wider family are very impressed with the care and love and respect shown to Mother. She is so different, no longer agitated, she seems contented. Atmosphere is happy, staff and management so pleasant and helpful. We couldn't wish for anything better. Big thank you.
My first visit to the care home today, a bit difficult to find. I think a better postcode would help with the sat nav that guided me to a muddy field. After a call to the care home, suitable instructions were given, maybe they could be added to the website. A warm welcome was given to me on arrival. This is a clean secure place, set in very nice surroundings.
