My brother-in-law was moved from hospital to Oliver House in September 2024, he was made very welcome from day 1 the care staff were excellent and always made to fuss of him. The management was always on hand to answer any questions we had. Our reason for leaving was the distance from home and I was the only driver so having my brother-in-law nearer we will be able to visit more often.

So relieved that my sister is being looked after and is getting the care and support she needs twenty-four hours a day.

My father went to Oliver House after he came out of hospital. At first, I was very reluctant to let him stay in a home after a horrific experience at another home. But I can honestly say that the way the staff cared for my dad and how they interacted with him has restored my faith in people. He returned home a few months later and it was very emotional for all involved. We shall be using Oliver House again shortly for respite. Do I recommend Oliver House? Most definitely.

My Mum was in Oliver House whilst her case was reviewed by social services and I was very happy with the care given to her by staff. They were very kind and thoughtful and I would be happy to recommend Oliver House.

Mum hasn't been at Oliver House for long but my first impressions have been positive. Mum has found the transition from being independent to having to have nursing care quite difficult but the staff have managed this very well. They are nice, thoughtful and caring and nothing is too much trouble. They take time to sit and talk with residents and are so professional in their approach. The food must be good too as Mum has put weight on!

It was the first time visiting the home. I live in Canada and was visiting my mom. I was extremely happy with what I saw come out the whole staff of the home was so kind and friendly. Amazing caring people. I would highly recommend this nursing home to anyone.

My auntie was very well looked after at Oliver House Nursing Home.

When we rang up about getting my grandmother in a home because she has dementia, the staff were very helpful. We rang up on a Sunday and by Tuesday she was in the home. Since then she has been out on outings which she enjoys and doing activities in the home. The staff are very good with her and take good care of her, which we are very grateful for.

My mum stayed at Oliver House for a year until she passed away on 30th April. They purchased a new bed for her to help with her pressure sores. She used to smile and laugh along with the staff, more than she did with me, which she would not have done if she was not happy there. Overall, I think she was cared for very well, and the staff helped the residents as much as they could.

My wife came into the care home for one week of respite whilst I was in the hospital. It gives me great pleasure to say that her time here has been a very happy experience for her. The care shown has been exceptional, and all aspects of the stay have been top-class. If the need arises in the future, I will certainly be looking at her returning for a further stay.

Having moved Mum from another care home, the difference in Mum is remarkable. It’s like she’s been given a new lease of life. The staff get her up every day and bringing her downstairs to join in with the activities and to sit with others for her meals has definitely helped my mum.

Olive House is a lovely place for my dad. I find the staff very friendly. Always have the time to talk and are lovely with my dad. I find the atmosphere very good for everyone in care, and I am pleased my father is here. Would highly recommend.

All the staff have been excellent at the home; they are very friendly and caring in every way to my mum and us as a family. There are plenty of activities for residents, and over the Christmas period, I was impressed as they had a pantomime come into the home and a choir; the Mayor came, and everyone involved enjoyed it all. Mum is treated with respect and dignity. The manager is excellent; she answers all my queries either personally or over the phone. They have all been brilliant. I would recommend the home to anyone.

My mother has been in this care home for two years now and her care has been extremely good. The staff are very good and caring we had a big party at the home for my mother's 100th birthday. It was a fantastic party, with all staff and patients having fun.

Thank you so much for caring for my sister, a special thank you to the manager, what an amazing nurse that goes over and above with her care. Thank you for today when I dropped the chocolates off to say thank you, for comforting me with the loss of my sister. Please, can she get a pay rise or some recognition, she is amazing! Thank you. All staff and management at Olive House Nursing Home are excellent. I could not wish my wife to be anywhere better. It's a very good nursing home.
