I couldn't recommend the home enough. The staff treat people with dignity and the support is excellent. The place is always very clean with lots of activities happening. My friend has been in the home now for 3 months and is now enjoying a better quality of life, thank you Spencer Grove.

My experience of the home is very good, the staff are very caring and understanding towards the residents and visitors and are always very helpful when needed. The facilities are good, very well maintained and clean and are always very warm and cosy.

After much searching and research, my wife chose Spencer Grove Care Home for her mother. Having personally visited the home, I am impressed at the genuine care, respect and attention given by all of the staff to all of the residents. All areas of the home are clean and cared for. Residents, along with their visitors enjoy a full schedule of activities, including entertainment from singers, crafting, painting, darts and visits from a local chaplaincy, to name but a few. A full schedule of activities is posted throughout the home on a monthly basis. This helps family and friends to plan our visits and join in with the activities. The food always looks and smells good with residents having a good choice for each meal. The home has a well-maintained roof garden which my mother-in-law, along with many of the residents, enjoys visiting and is able to help plan and maintain in the warmer weather.

Staff are delightful and always willing to go the extra mile in the care of the residents. Nothing is too much trouble. Very happy with the quality of care provided. The activities provided are frequent and well thought out to engage with the residents, and visitors alike, along with social events throughout the year. The food always appears appetising and you even get a lovely cake on your birthday. It is very reassuring to know that your loved ones are so well looked after.

In the short time my relative has been a resident in Spencer Grove I can't speak highly enough of the care and compassion that has been shown to him. Every member of staff has been exceptionally friendly to him despite his complex needs and not speaking very well. Nothing is too much trouble and all his needs have been met even offering him alternative food that is not on the menu.

Fabulous staff, kind and caring and welcoming to my grandmother and our family. Feel comforted to know she is being well looked after. There are good activities on, and the staff seem to genuinely care about the residents, and their relatives which is lovely. Thank you all at Spencer Grove Care Home.

Comprehensive programme of activities. Caring, efficient staff. Good, tasty, nutritious food. My dad is very well looked after. The senior staff have been kind and helpful to us as a family, answering our questions and guiding us.

I cannot recommend Spencer Grove Care Home enough, it really is a home from home. The staff are great, nothing is ever too much trouble, they are all so friendly and welcoming. My grandma loves the variety of food, especially when the have a theme and visiting the bar! All rooms are kept clean and spotless. Would 100% recommend, keep up the fabulous work!

My mum has been a resident at Spencer Grove Care Home for a couple of years and they couldn't have been more supportive and attentive. Even through very tough times they have adapted to my mum's needs and made sure she has had a safe, friendly home to live in. I always am grateful for the piece of mind knowing she's well looked after. All the management and staff are just fantastic. Thank you

All the staff at Spencer Grove Care Home are truly wonderful in the care and support they give to all residents and their families. My mother has had a new lease of life now she is the home, she is no longer lonely and feels safe and well looked after. She particularly enjoys the many and varied activities that are available.

Everything about Spencer Grove Care Home is really good. The support, food and activities provided by Spencer Grove are first class and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Residents feel secure and cared for and safe in the knowledge they only have to speak to any member of staff if they have any concerns.

An excellent care home. The staff are exceptional, regardless of department. From management, nursing, carers, entertainment, cleaners and kitchen, I have absolutely no issues. Always helpful and friendly the staff are always there for the residents, whatever their needs. I couldn't ask for a better care home for my friend.

Kind compassionate staff who create a family atmosphere and will do anything possible to help both residents and visitors. Access to the home is excellent with adequate car parking. There are frequent activities involving both residents and visitors with lots of themed days. In all an excellent place for your loved one to spend there final days.

Spencer Grove Care Home is amazing and all the staff that work there are one big loving family. When my father was poorly and we needed urgent care the manager and her team came to my rescue. Dad moved into the home same day and he settled in from day 1. They helped my dad get mobile again and when I visited him he always had a smile on his face. The staff also welcomed me on my visits and also had time to update me on dad. The rooms are clean and large with different areas for my dad to visit the day room/café and bar. I now have the comfort of knowing how good they are and if needed would be happy for my dad to stay again. Thank you for all you do you are amazing and this is how care homes should be run 'Home from home'.

I am really happy with the care my Dad is receiving at Spencer Grove. I feel confident that he is well cared for and if there are any issues, communication is great. There are a lot of activities which Dad has benefited from, as well as the company of the carers and other residents.

The home is warm and welcoming, as are the staff who have become like a second family. My mum-in-law is always at pains to tell you how happy and contented she is. A great deal of effort goes into keeping the residents occupied and stimulated. With the recent addition of the new Market Hall, where there's a bar, a post office and a number of craft and activity stalls, it really is a lovely place for her to be. Meals are well presented and varied with themed menus on special dates and dishes to suit every taste. After a shocking illness which prepared the family for the worst, it's great to see her still getting involved with day-to-day events, almost 2 years later. A great testimony to the care she receives.

Spencer Grove Care Home has a very friendly, homely feel and is clean and well looked after. All the staff are really friendly and helpful and take an interest in the people they care for. Mum looks forward to her meals which she always seems to enjoy. There is planned entertainment to join in with and numerous games and craft activities all around the home. Mum has settled very well and is happy.

Spencer Grove Care Home in Belper, is in my opinion, the best there is. My nan has been a permanent resident there since September last year, the very thought of her going into a care home filled me with dread that was until I visited Spencer Grove, the staff were absolutely lovely and friendly. The home is modern and extremely clean. The residents are very well looked after and cared for, I get regular updates regarding my nans well being. Apart from this she excitedly tells me when I visit all about the different activities she's taken part in which is really nice for her for example quizzes, bingo, skittles, arts and crafts, tv/dvd watching, nights at the pub, singing the list is endless. So a big thank you to all the hardworking staff at Spencer Grove for everything you do for us as a family but especially the great care you as a home provide for my nan.

Everyone at Spencer Grove Care Home has made, what was quite a traumatic experience for our family, an easier transition from caring for our mother at home to suddenly having to accept that she needed full time nursing care. The nursing staff have accepted our mother (although she has been quite difficult at times) and worked with us all to make her time at Spencer Grove as comfortable as possible. Communication has been fantastic all of the way with phone calls from the home if/when there have been any changes in our mothers condition. I would and have already recommended Spencer Grove to anyone finding themselves in our position.
