View Full Details of The Park Residential and Nursing HomeStepdad has only been at The Park a short time but he has been made to feel welcome. He has been well cared for and looked after. Everyone is very friendly and kind. There are lots of smaller sitting rooms that are lovely to use when the family visit. Bedrooms are comfortable and very well presented with a warm cosy feel. One staff member in particular in admin has been great; so friendly, informative and helpful.
My husband has not been in long but up to yet everything okay. Pleased with room and carers.
Having used two non-Sanctuary care homes for respite care 10-14 days prior to his admittance to The Park, I realise the three Sanctuary homes in Chaddesden are all not up to the aforesaid standard. These were the only ones offered at the time. My husband's room reminds me of a ship's cabin, nothing like the room we were shown when we did the viewing. I appreciate my husband is doubly incontinent so most days the bed hasn't been remade as it is left to dry out. I would also comment I don't think he is encouraged to clean his teeth or put his plate with 6 teeth on it in the cleaning tabs I provided.
Very happy with this care home, always plenty of staff on hand at all times, courteous and approachable. Staff responded quickly to any issues we had whilst visiting. Dad seemed settled and happy. Positive experience all round.
My brother-in-law has been in a room at The Park Nursing Home since November 2023. He has gained wirght and looks very happy. He is confined to his bed, but looks well looked after. His room is comfortable and tidy. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The manager explained why the staff were not able to move him around very much. We understood the constraints and were very happy with the quality of care given.
When visiting my friend at the home he seems happy and settled, though sometimes I think he is a little bored. He speaks well of the staff staying they are friendly and helpful. From my own observations, I have never seen any activities taking place with residents. I also feel the lovely garden is underused again never seen any residents sitting and enjoying the warm fresh air.
The service, care and compassion shown to my aunty was excellent. She was on end-of-life care but was always treated with the dignity she deserved. The staff also looked after the visitors, which helped us through a very distressing time. Would like to say a very big thank you for all you have done to help. Wishing you all the very best in what you do.
From the moment you walk in, The Park is a very welcoming place. All staff are very friendly and helpful and are on hand to answer any queries.
Our aunt came in on July 9th Tuesday, for end-of-life care, and has received excellent care and attention. The staff have all been considerate, understanding and very professional at all times. We would not hesitate to recommend 'The Park' to anyone. Well done to you all.
My mum has been a resident since October 2023. The daily care staff are caring and considerate of Mum's needs. The nursing staff have taken appropriate action when required, escalating issues to the GP in a timely manner. The management and admin team have dealt with any queries or incidents with openness and honesty, providing a speedy and satisfactory response. The overall internal condition of the building is clean and tidy. Mealtimes are at set periods which helps give mum a routine each day, as do set regular times for showering/bathing. Whilst some mindful and/or physical activities during the day may be arranged, as mum is aged 98 and has lost her sight, it is not always possible for her to engage.
Our step-mum's health declined quite rapidly during this month. Our experience at The Park during this time was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble and our step-mum's care was a priority. We, as a family, cannot speak highly enough of the staff at The Park, caring, dedicated and professional at all times. Sadly our step-mum passed away but she was surrounded by us, her step-family and the staff at the home, her second family. Thank you all.
My husband has recently been a resident of The Park Residential and Nursing Home. Unfortunately, he has since passed away. The care he received in his final 36 hours was second to none. The carers came to see him every 30 minutes to make sure everything was OK. From a personal experience, they looked after myself and my family too, bringing us drinks and making sure we were eating. I myself do not wish to die at home and after seeing the care he received it would be a personal choice of mine to go to the nursing home. There are carers that I would like to name but it's not advised, so thank you all for the loving care and attention you provided for my husband during his last hours.
My wife came in for respite care, something we had not used before. She had an open pressure sore that despite our efforts through the district nurse at home was seemingly getting worse. In 4 weeks (The Park) the staff and nursing team reduced it by 50% outstanding care and all staff treated her and ourselves with the utmost respect.
My beautiful mum received end-of-life care at The Park Residential and Nursing Home, the love and care they showed Mum and family was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble, every single member of staff no matter what their role was compassionate and really cared.
A couple of the residents are vocal, one of whom is aggressive and abusive and who treats the staff badly. My husband's room is close to the lounge and I am able to hear what is happening. On Sunday, I could hear the two residents and I was impressed with the way the member of staff dealt with the situation, especially the abusive resident. She was calm, steady and dealt with them really well.
My wife stayed at The Park Residential and Nursing Home during the month of February 2024. The service and compassion offered by all staff was beyond the scale of ten.
Overall very pleased with the care my father is receiving. He appears to be generally content and is certainly in the best place to deal with his condition. The staff are very caring towards him and react to and join in with his sense of humour whilst being sympathetic to his situation. Someone always keeps in contact with me advising of any mishaps or doctor/hospital visits.
I have always found all staff to be very helpful and friendly. They take good care of my mum at all times. The Park is very nice.
I have good vibes about The Park. The staff are caring and helpful and I can move around without causing problems.
Institutional care practices. Can just about manage basic care but not consistently and certainly not proactive when it comes to requesting GP visits and reviews. The home is tired and dated and needs a deep clean. Staff don't wear PPE at meal times, but they do wear their jewellery and watches whilst providing personal care. Would not recommend this Nursing Home!
