View Full Details of Littleover Nursing HomeMy father was looked after with dignity and care throughout his stay, originally, given three weeks to live...He survived almost six months. This is a testament to the first-class care he received. Thank you everyone.
Although apprehensive about my husband moving from long-stay hospital care to palliative care in Littleover, within weeks I was certain it was the right place. All equipment seemed different and management soon ordered an extra sensitive buzzer just for him. There is a settled set of nurses who respond to my husband's needs at once and with whom we are on Christian name terms. The carers will tackle anything. I am full of admiration for what they do. The food is excellent. I really like the management team who are approachable and honest at all times. This home is welcoming every time I visit, the staff are supportive and friendly. Well done Littleover!
Littleover Nursing Home is a beautiful home so relaxing and has a calming atmosphere the staff are excellent. The ambience is very good and always spotlessly clean what a fab home. Well done to the staff.
My sister is receiving Palliative Care/End of Life. The home is doing an excellent job with my sister. Management and staff are very helpful and caring, food is excellent. They keep us updated.
Overall we have been happy with the care my mother has received at Littleover Nursing Home. The management has been particularly helpful with finance support and advice. I would definitely recommend the home to other potential users.
My Dad was a resident for 9 and a half months. He settled in well and got to know some of the staff very well. All of the staff - managers, nursing and caring staff, activity ladies, kitchen, domestic, laundry and maintenance man were always welcoming and always had a smile. Not only were they kind and caring to my Dad but they were very supportive to my sister and I always finding time for a chat and making us a cup of tea if needed. So a big thank you to all the staff for making a difficult time so much easier. You are all truly amazing.
Staff very caring and very little staff turnover; they can develop good relationships with residents. Management very good, concerned to answer any problems we encounter and helpful in management of residents. My wife came in the home for end of life nursing and an expectation of three months, now we are fourteen months on. Very suitable for end of life and therefore not requiring rehabilitation. My wife is immobile and still has perfect skin. Remarkable.
Excellent attention by the carers. Food excellent.
Staff are excellent. Since Dad has been here, they have gone above and beyond. Always happy to help and Dad is very happy here.
What can I say, started off great but really went downhill. Social isolation for residents is a big issue. Staff prefer people to stay alone in their bedrooms all day and night. Dignity, privacy and respect don’t really exist at Littleover Nursing Home. The CEO isn’t interested. So task oriented no person-centred care at all. The food what can I say except 90% of the time it’s revolting very poor choice. My mother was offered fried egg with broccoli, Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes for Sunday lunch. There’s very rarely a choice for pudding. Some lovely staff who try really hard but they just can’t make the difference needed to improve things.
My dad was in hospital for three weeks before he came back to Littleover Nursing Home. they were caring and attentive to him in his last four days. They also made it easy for me to cope.
Loving, clean with efficient staff who are understanding and patient.
From the time my mum was accepted into the Littleover Nursing Home family in August 2021, having become unable to speak and being partially paralysed by a stroke, to her passing away peacefully in March 2022, she was treated with dignity and respect by the team. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were clean, light and airy and in there were times I nearly dozed off sitting with mum. Thank you for making my mum's last months so peaceful and dignified.
Mum stayed with the team at Littleover from August 2021 she was very well cared for both physically and mentally nothing went unnoticed or attended to mum always looked cared for no pressure sores, urinary or chest infections, always a smile. The team communicated well with mum and the family, I felt the team all invested in mum where they were able including a room with a view and birds which she always enjoyed at home. Thank you Littleover team you are fantastic.
My wife was only a resident for 6 days but in that time the staff were always friendly and she was always comfortable and well looked after.
My dad was made to feel loved and cared for during his time at Littleover Nursing Home. From the very first moment when he arrived on his birthday, he was made to feel special. The staff here are amazing and both he and my mum were shown genuine kindness from the whole team. The love and support that was shown to my mum, my brother, and myself made us feel that they had all the time in the world for us no matter how busy they were. I feel genuinely humbled by the approach to residents and their families here and will never be able to thank them enough.
My dad had to come in for End of Life Care, he was very well looked after and treated with dignity. The Administrator was especially fantastic with me in terms of arranging visits.
Mum went into Littleover care home from hospital after a fall at home. She was on end of life care. All the staff are lovely, from laundry ladies right through to admin. The care mum received was very very good. Mum passed away on the 11th November. I can't thank the staff enough for the care she received at the end, so kind and respectful of our wishes. I would recommend it to anyone needing care also their families. Thank you all.
Littleover Nursing Home took mum in direct from hospital after a fall and stroke rendered her unable to take care of herself or feed herself. Gradually with their care, she improved to eat relatively normally, speak better and sit in the lounge, and partake of some activities. More recently she has become more dependant but always seemed warm, comfortable, and clean. Even through Covid. I have already recommended Littleover to friends and will continue to do so. Excellent kind care and communication from all the staff. Good food and clean premises.
Mum entered Littleover on Fast Track End of Life directly from hospital after a stroke. She has shown enough improvement to no longer be on Fast Track, whilst still requiring nursing care and assisted eating. From the moment mum arrived, she has received excellent care and assistance from all the staff at Littleover. I cannot speak highly enough, whether it be management, nursing, care staff housekeeping, laundry, or kitchen staff. I have always found the staff to be very approachable if I had cause/reason to discuss mum's health/care. They did everything I would expect of them and more to improve mom's well being and I am sure this has improved mum's quality of life since she arrived. They all are a credit to their profession and Littleover Nursing Home.
