View Full Details of Aylesham Court Care HomeWhat can I say about Aylesham Court. The staff are absolutely amazing. They cannot do enough for their residents or their families. The rooms are clean and tidy, never has a piece of Dads clothing gone missing during the washing period. The whole home is just brilliant. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. My mum went to Aylesham Court for resbite care and didn't want to leave!!!
All the staff are wonderful, food very good, very clean and warm. Nurses and carers are brilliant and always polite and professional. 10/10.
My husband went into the home in November 2024 with lung problems which meant he was on oxygen 24/7. The manager said this was something the home could cope with. The nursing staff did not seem to have any experience with oxygen concentrators or NIV machines. My husband's oxygen became detached one day and he was left with no oxygen for 7 minutes and unable to breathe, this was despite buzzing for help and shouting for help. The excuse was they were busy serving meals. They did apologise when I complained and said they would respond straight away in the future. Unfortunately, my husband was only in the home 10 days before he passed, he was seen the day before he died by the doctor but no one picked up on how poorly he was. He passed away in the early hours of the next morning and I was informed at 3am by phone that he had already died, I therefore believe no one checked on him in the night. They heard his machine bleeping went in and he was dying but no one called me until he had passed.
My grandma has been at Aylesham Court Care Home for around 8 months and I cannot fault the care at all. The staff are amazing, kind and caring but genuinely care! They look after us as well as Grandma! We are always kept up to date with changes to her wellbeing.
My mother was a resident at Aylesham Court for 3 months prior to her passing away in September, the nursing care she received was exceptional, and she was treated with care and dignity at every stage, unfortunately, she passed away whilst we were on holiday, but there was a staff member with her all the time in her final hours, two members of staff even staying after their shifts had ended to be with her. We cannot recommend this home enough. Many thanks for looking after Mum (and us) like you did, we really appreciate it.
Staff are always friendly, professional and helpful. They are very supportive and look after my mum really well.
Best care home ever, the best staff makes you feel welcome and at home. Great care for visitors and residents nobody could do better than this care home looked after my nana so well that I'll never forget this place.
Mum has been in Aylesham Court for over 3 years now. Her needs have changed over this time and the staff have been excellent in identifying, implementing, and communicating with family to ensure Mum's care continues to be met in a kind, caring, and professional manner. Mum's communication is extremely poor but staff are very 'tuned in' to any changes Mum displays and deal with these immediately. The most important thing is, that Mum says she likes it in the home and continues to smile. Well done all.
My mother was very happy in the care home. She was well cared for and treated with dignity and respect. The carers were kind and compassionate and took an interest in her. She particularly enjoyed the activities which were ongoing and the outings.
Some carers are better than others of course. Often no one comes when you ring the bell, just walk past. The variety of food is poor, quality ok. Some carers put tablets down and leave them, some put them in my wife's mouth. She can put them in herself. Not enough things to do - when having trips out, come and ask me, please. Clothes etc keep going missing. Some staff are very friendly and helpful, a couple especially so. Not happy that people don't seem to help to commode at night. My wife likes to garden and would appreciate the chance to do more. Overall reasonably happy.
Mum has settled in well and has been very well looked after by all the staff who always have a smile for her and a chat.
I am quite happy here but things have changed somewhat since I came. New systems are good! The staff are all caring and considerate but they do not have the time to do all they are expected to do. This counts all staff, house, kitchen, and caring staff. I feel safe which is the main thing.
Mum has been at Aylesham Court for five months now, and I have nothing but praise for all the staff there. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Food and activities are amazing, communication is excellent, and we are always kept informed.
This home is just amazing! All of the staff go above and beyond! The cleanliness, the care, the facilities are all just amazing! Having your loved one in a home is difficult enough but being in this home makes it that much easier as we know how much they are loved. Today the home went above and beyond for our Diamond Anniversary. We can't thank them all enough for looking after my friend so well and for making our Diamond Anniversary so special! Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.
Right from our very first meeting with the manager, everything was about the care of, and how care would be provided to, my father. Clearly the quality of the structure of the home and facilities were important but it was reassuring to hear for the first time on our rounds of homes the emphasis on how my father would be cared for given his considerable needs. The staff have all been fantastic, the same familiar faces there the whole 11 months my father was there. The food was excellent as evidenced by my father's healthy appetite. Just one observation, it would be nice to have an extra person with time to chat or read, play a game with those who are bedbound.
Mam has settled really well. The staff have been very good at getting her to feel at home. Since arriving, she has become more confident and can enjoy her life now that her pain relief is being attended to 24 hours a day. She's so pleased to have come here.
We were so impressed with the home and the staff and we made the right choice for our relative. Thank you for looking after them so much.
Our mum stayed at Aylesham Court for 2 weeks respite care. I think it is fair to say that she really did not want to go but we cannot thank the team enough for the experience she had. The quality was excellent, she settled well and most importantly, felt safe. We expected her to spend all of the time in her room but she got involved in the activities and used the lounge/dining room. Thank you so much as it allowed me to take a much-needed break.
My mum has been at the home for nearly 3 years and we have had no problems only when the lift was out of action for 10 weeks and my mum couldn't go outside to sit in the sun as she was on the first floor. All the staff are very caring and helpful which has been a great help to us. We know we can go on holiday without having to worry about Mum's care and attention. I have put poor down for activities because we are still waiting for someone to be employed.
Visited my mum who is currently having respite at this home, can I just say the staff are so welcoming and supportive. My mum who has dementia was struggling with anxiety and fear before she came here, but seeing her today has put my mind at rest tremendously she loves the staff and seems really settled, which I am very happy about. I would choose this home as a permanent residence should Mum need more help than we could give her, knowing that she would be looked after by Aylesham Court and surrounded by good people 24/7.
