View Full Details of Lutterworth Country House Care HomeI have two parents staying at this care home and found the experience and transition between "parents home" to care home was "understood". Time was taken by managers to listen to requests and put these two into place was able to personalise their rooms. Residents are cared for and made to feel important and special, even loved which puts someone at ease. The food excellent and the activities are extremely diverse. The activities are extremely diverse. The care and support I received when my mum passed was truly outstanding from the staff involved
My husband has been in this home for two years and eight months. During his stay, he has been well looked after by many caring people. Even during covid times, they made an effort to keep us in touch. Not sure if he takes part in activities given due to his illness. Although he does like singing.
Very friendly staff and residents seem to enjoy being here!
First room we were shown to was filthy, with no unit for T.V. to go on and just a wardrobe. Put in normal accommodation when I had already told them she probably had dementia. The second room was not much better. Towels were put on the toilet seat as no shelves, just marks where they should be. Told them my mother could only have soft food, but they still gave her toast and sandwiches. I had to supply all her food and I had to shower her. Found my mum in soiled underwear. Visited once at 1.15 pm, someone came to take her plate of uneaten food at 4:30 pm and said did not know I was here - no one had checked her. She was sitting in her room crying in the dark one morning at 10:30 am when I arrived. I did point this out to carers. Medications given after food when they should have been before.
This is a lovely care home. The staff are very friendly and caring. Mum moved here at the end of last year and settled very quickly. It has a very home-from-home feel about it and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a care home for their relatives. All care homes have issues but this is well-run by lovely people.
PrimeLife, Lutterworth Country House, looked after my mother-in-law for the last twelve months. She had vascular dementia and mobility issues. She always said how happy she was at the home and the staff were lovely. As this was through the Covid period they kept us in touch with her via phone calls and Skype when we couldn't visit. The staff went above and beyond to look after her and us. She sadly passed away and the staff were fantastic during the two-week illness. They were so understanding and caring. We were told by a member of staff that as we couldn't be there due to Covid restrictions that they were looking after her like family. This was incredibly comforting at a time when the family were very upset. Thank you to all the staff at Lutterworth Country House. You all deserve so much more than I can say in a review.
The management and staff are very caring, and my husband received good care while in the care centre. The compassion of the staff at the centre is commendable. Although my husband was at the care centre during a most difficult time, ie, coronavirus, he was cared for with great compassion. I could not have asked for more.
I find the home very satisfactory. Always very caring staff and kind. If I have any queries or problems they are always willing to help.
My Dad came to live here in July 2018 after having a number of falls and a diagnosis of dementia. He settled in well and accepted that he needed to be looked after in a safe environment. We were always made to feel welcome by members of staff when we visited Dad, and any problems were discussed with us when they arose, either in person or by a phone call. Sadly Dad passed away in July 2019, he received end of life care and was treated with dignity until his death. We would have no hesitation in recommending the care home.
For the past 18 months, Mum has been a resident of Lutterworth Country House Care Home. Mum died on the 5th of April at the care home. During her stay at the home, she has been treated with respect and a high degree of care, upon our frequent unannounced visits Mum was always well presented and clean even allowing for her deteriorating condition due to advanced Altzheimers. During my career, I have been to many care homes some of which I would avoid at all costs however Lutterworth Country House staff provide care and consideration to a high degree. When Mum died the staff helped us to handle this sad time. In closing, I have to say that I would recommend Lutterworth Country House on its general performance and with the degree of care it offers.
My husband was in this home for 3 years, and during all that time was treated and cared for with respect, dignity and love. The staff are excellent. When he died there they were excellent in helping me. Cannot praise enough. Thank you.
Care for my elderly mother depends on the quality of staff as much as anything else and all those at various levels my wife and I came into contact with are very pleasant and always helpful. All seem to acknowledge Mum by name and she has a good relationship with them.
Mum has been at Lutterworth Country House 3 years, she is 96 in June. Very well looked after. Not a very outgoing person but staff engage her and genuinely care for her. Her wellbeing/health has improved during her stay.
