View Full Details of Oakdale Care LtdMum has been at Oakdale for approximately 8 months now. The staff at the home continue to amaze me. Caring and thoughtful. When I visit I'm made to feel so welcome. The residents are always busy doing some kind of activity. If the weather is fine, residents are encouraged to venture into the lovely garden. Home from home.
Oakdale Care Home is a care home by name and is staffed by excellent, caring and kind people. Thank you for all your care over this difficult time.
I have found this home to be most helpful and the care given is second to none.
Staff seem to interact well with the service users and have lovely activities such as Valentine's Day bingo and buffet food and music playing.
Overall, personal care is satisfactory. Staff interaction with my sister and family was very good. The quality of the finish in the room is poor. Wall repairs are patched with different shades of paint. The skirting is poorly finished. The sink area needs a complete refurbishment - it's awful. The furniture supplied is mismatched. Overall look of the room is embarrassing for the rate, at which is being charged. The lift in the reception area needs replacing it breaks down and has a depressing feel when inside it. Laundry staff need training in treating the service users' clothes with care when putting them back in the wardrobe. People with demented clothes pairing up not just dumping in the wardrobe and drawers, e.g. separating nightwear, hanging pj tops with day trousers, etc. This is a service user's home; their clothing and room should be treated so as to reflect that point. The care staff performance outshines the facility.
My mum has been at Oakdale Care Ltd now since February 2022 and has received excellent care. The staff are always lovely and welcoming at every visit and it's clear to see that they genuinely care for their residents and Mum speaks very highly of them. My mum has Bipolar disorder and early signs of dementia and her needs are always met she is very well cared for and the family are always kept well informed.
The care, safety and standards of Oakdale Care are excellent, 11/10. The manager and her staff deserve all the recognition for keeping the care home running as it does - taking care of residents, making it a home-from-home environment, keeping it pristine and a pleasure to walk into when visiting. The manager is always available if relatives have any queries or worries, to listen and put your mind at rest instantly. Staff are on hand as soon as your visit starts, with a warm greeting and offering refreshments on your arrival. Oakdale is a pleasure to walk into, feeling very clean and fresh at all times. My mum is extremely settled and safe and knowing how well she is looked after makes the whole upsetting process of deciding to place her into care so much easier to deal with. The manager and her team at Oakdale far exceed any expectations of how a care home should be run. Thank you all.
Couldn’t have wished for a nicer place for my dad to spend his last few days. Staff all fantastic and so caring. Couldn’t have wished for a nicer place for my dad to spend his last few days. Staff all fantastic and so caring.
I visited my cousin on a Tuesday morning, had a lovely time with her. On reaching home, I realised my gold bracelet was missing, I rang the home straight away, if it was found then they would inform me. We're now in July and how happy I am that a member of staff approached me to ask about the bracelet, it was found. So I can truly say thumbs up for the care home.
Staff good. One member of staff is very good with his meds. She is good. But food is a big problem because Indian food is not to his liking. Please can we sort this? Thank you.
Thank you for caring and looking after my grandad. Myself and family will always be so grateful. Thank you for also being so kind and welcoming.
Excellent care home with very nice staff. Good food and a super outside garden area. Good all-round with no issues.
My wife has now been a resident at Oakdale for nearly two years. I cannot praise Oakdale enough. It has the highest teamwork and spirit anyone could ask for; the care home is brilliant - a pleasure to visit, as always. I feel so relaxed when I visit, but the greeting of all the staff, the welcome is better than any five-star hotel and a lovely smile and respect every time from them all (the angels with golden wings). The home is so clean, with plenty of room to move about, and the safety is top-class. You all deserve medals for the hard work and caring, loving and loyal work you still carry out in your shift of long hours. Thank you to all the staff at Oakdale - you are brilliant.
I thoroughly enjoyed the Coronation party with a barbecue. The staff are all wonderfully kind and caring, and my mum has really settled in at the care home. It was lovely to see my mum get up and dance with one of the nurses. This really made me feel great. I would recommend Oakdale Care home to other people, and I am really impressed with their service.
Our family went to see our sister and there was a lovely entertainer on for Valentine’s Day. There was a really good spread of food for all the residents, and they told us all to help ourselves. The carers are so wonderful and helpful. I have since been back, without warning and still, the same care. Very welcoming.
I would recommend this care home as a family. My mum would not be with us as she was very ill. Since being out of the hospital, she has come on so quickly. Staff are wonderful, always there if you need anything and greet you with a smile. A very big thank you.
Staff have been welcoming to my mother and relatives. So far, it has been a pleasant experience, and my mum came into the home not eating much and drinking/using a hoist. Within two weeks, she has put on weight, and her eating and drinking have improved also starting to walk, and she no longer needs a hoist. Can't thank the management and staff enough. Thank you.
I am happy with my nan's progress since being here. Lovely place with lovely, helpful staff.
I have always found the staff to be very helpful, understanding and tolerant of my uncle. They have always kept me informed and up to date regarding his care. I have always found the manager to be available with enquiries I may have and to talk me through everything.
