View Full Details of Barchester Tixover House Care HomeDad moved here at the end of last year. He was reluctantly agreeing he needed more care, but has now settled in well. His pictures are on the wall of his room, books in place & TV, so he has all he needs.
We are finding Tixover House Care Home an ideal place for my aunt. She is being looked after very well, clean, looking tidy, her room is always looked after, and her laundry done and put away. The staff pop in and ask if she's comfortable and we love that we can make ourselves a cup of tea and help ourselves to a scone or cake. The management and staff are all very approachable and helpful. Everything is done with a smile.
Excellent care provided with absolute detail. My mother has dementia and is always unsettled with strangers. However, the professionalism, empathy, experience and understanding of the staff made Mum feel very settled. Not once did they have to contact me for help. Very friendly place located in a beautiful, rural surrounding. I feel so comfortable that it was almost like an extension of our home.
I feel very confident in saying that Tixover House gives my dad the full support and care that we would struggle to match if he were at home. I'm happy it gives me the peace of mind that there is always help around him.

We phoned Barchester Tixover House Care Home requesting emergency care for my father. All staff bent over backwards to help given the lateness of the day. Special thanks 3 members of staff in particular, all couldn't have done more. Thank you to you all. Would recommend Tixover every time. Thank you.
I have always found the management and staff extremely helpful and they go out of their way to make residents and visitors feel at home. My mother-in-law now has lots of new friends and interests.
It was a difficult decision to put my mother into care... So pleased we did as she is now meeting lots of new friends and joining in activities. All staff are very helpful and caring. The manager is excellent.
My sister was a resident at Barchester Tixover Care Home for 6 years before she passed away in July and lived in both residential and Memory Lane. Her care under the manager, and her team of nurses and carers was exceptional. The home is set in beautiful grounds overlooking fields with sheep making it a lovely area for walking/sitting and a peaceful atmosphere. There is also good parking and easy access. Unlike many care homes I looked at, Memory Lane is full of colour, activities, sensory aids and positivity from the carers. Great attention is paid to assessing and supplying what is best for each individual resident, whether they are in residential or Memory Lane. There is genuine care, compassion and respect by both carers and nursing staff. I was kept up to date with any changes or requirements by excellent communication from the home and always felt 100% confident my sister was in the best hands. It is definitely a home where you know your loved one comes first.
A lovely, tranquil place. Friendly staff and visitors are welcomed with a drink and cake, if wanted. Lovely surroundings.

My Dad has been living in Tixover for about 8 months and he is very settled, happy, and safe. The care he receives in this lovely environment is great. It gives my brother great comfort every time we see him.
I had been looking after my husband for the last 2 years. He had mobility problems and memory loss. Recently he was diagnosed with vascular dementia. He had begun to fall so needed 24-hour care. One morning after a sleepless night I realised I could not cope. My plan was a break for me. The manager at Tixover House came to assess him and he went in that day. The staff were wonderful and always made him smile, even up to his final days.
My husband has been a resident for only one full month but our friends and family all say how much happier and well he looks and behaves. I would not hesitate to pass on these thoughts to anyone needing care. Very pleased with the 'home ' from home.
Staff are always very friendly. Mum is very well cared for and all her needs are met.
A lovely environment and always a warm welcome.
From my first visit, to see if Barchester Tixover House Care Home was suitable for Mum, I was impressed. Apart from the luxurious "home from home" furnishings, it was the staff who impressed me. I'm greeted by name when I visit which is impressive but more importantly, find that my mum is clean, well looked after and her needs are met. I never wanted to have to put my mum in a home - it's heartbreaking but feel I have found the right one.
