View Full Details of Kimberley Care VillageMy father has been in Kimberley Care Village for a year and a half now. I can not recommend this place enough to people! My dad has Huntington's disease and they have taken every single step they can to ensure my dad had a safe transition and have completely followed through on promises to make sure he gets the best care possible. They have provided two chairs for him already (he moves a lot so they break easily) It is always clean, tidy, professional in atmosphere and there is always someone to speak to if we have anything we are worried/anxious about. They have gone above and beyond with service, time, care and listening. All the staff are beyond compare! Thank you Kimberley Care Village and all the staff past and present. You are all absolutely amazing and have made my dad so incredibly safe. He loves you all, as do we! Thank you.
Lovely place, very clean and kind staff. The owner and the manager have gone above and beyond for my mum to ensure she is happy and well cared for. All the staff are wonderful in fact! They make my mum laugh when she's feeling a bit down, they spend time with her, take her out for walks when she's feeling confused and bring her tea and biscuits between meals. Their communication has been fantastic, I'm able to call for an update whenever I like, myself and my family are made to feel welcome during every visit. My mum is happy and safe and she thinks the food is very good. Can't thank you all enough! I would recommend it to anybody.
Since being a visitor here for the last 6 months, I have noticed a vast change for the better. This I am sure is due to the caring staff and the incredible management. I have no worries regarding leaving my family member at this home. The care and devotion they give to their patients are second to none. If you have any queries you just chat to the manager and they are sorted very quickly. I would recommend this home to anyone who needs 24-hour care of their loved ones.
Since moving Dad from a previous home he seems much happier. The staff are very friendly and helpful, they all get to know Dad which is good.
All the staff and management have been absolutely fantastic with the care for my husband. They have gone above and beyond with the care, dignity, and respect for him. Not only have they looked after my husband but they have looked after me and supported me through an incredibly difficult period. I would highly recommend Kimberley Care Village.
Extremely lovely care home. Staff are friendly, empathic, and caring. The home is clean and welcoming. The manager cares for residents and their family. Couldn't wish for a nicer place for mum to be.
Thank you for allowing myself, my daughter and grandsons, plus my sister and brother-in-law to visit my mum yesterday. It was lovely to see her, she was especially pleased to see her great-grandsons and granddaughter, maybe not so much myself and sister which I can understand as she thinks we made her move there. It is obviously the best place for her. I have spoken to various members of your staff especially one who all say she is fine, which as a daughter is all I can ask. Thank you all for all you do, it really is appreciated by us all. Stay safe all.
I don`t know how to express the gratitude I feel to this care home. My dad passed away here a year ago and then they looked after my mum until she passed away last week. Both my parents had full capacity but they felt safe and secure here, to my mum this was her home. We have had experience of two other homes - neither could hold a candle to here. The staff are amazing and we will miss them all. I can say a massive thank you.
This care home has some very caring staff. They treated mum with the utmost dignity and it was never too much trouble for them to discuss mum's requirements and how best they would implement them. Always with mum's interests at the forefront. They have a splendid team there and welcome you as a part of their family.
We would like to congratulate all the staff and carers at Kimberley Care Village which presents a caring and happy atmosphere. They all work extremely hard to look after and care for the residents. They also give care and attention to the family. However, there appears to be a shortage of carers as often the staff are rushed off their feet even though they never grumble and plod on. The new kitchen and dining room has greatly improved. The cooks do a great job and the food has been improved and enjoyed. Entertainment could be improved and motivated eg when the line dancers come monthly, they sing and dance and encourage the residents to clap and sing and join in the fun. This needs to be done more often. Some of the residents do not receive visitors, could volunteers be prepared to visit and talk to them? XMAS DAY - We stayed with our family for a few hours and the staff were excellent and the food looked delicious. The staff worked hard to make sure everyone had everything they needed. I did notice however that there were no special clothes, crackers or cold drinks but then again it all went well with the carers working very hard. No entertainment afterwards. XMAS PARTY - The singer was good but left after half an hour. The carers children enjoyed Father Christmas but shame there was no games or sing-song for the residents. Then again, the carers were working hard to entertain everyone. No tea or minced pies available. The first-floor corridor has only one bathroom/toilet but not available for visitors! The carpets need refurbishing both corridors and rooms. The lounge could be improved. No seat for visitors in the room as it is needed for hoist arrangements.
Overall, Kimberley Care Home is quite good but I think at times this is understaffed. The staff are all nice and I think they do a good job. I wasn't very impressed with the Christmas party or Christmas Day activities. Residents don't seem to get many activities or days out. Maybe it's staff shortages.
If you need a care home this cannot be bettered.
I visited the care home both in February and December this year. In February I noticed my mother had eye discharge and the eyes were not cleaned. Today in December however, she had been well groomed and smart in appearance. All staff were friendly and respectful.
The care my mum receives is second to none. She is always clean and well fed. The staff at Kimberley are all lovely caring people who do their jobs extremely well. I could not wish for my mum to be cared for any better than she is. She is the happiest and most content that I have seen her in years. Thank you everyone!
My mother has expressed to my wife and I how much she enjoys living in this care home. It has given her security, peace of mind and welcome company. She enjoys her mealtimes and social interaction with residents and home staff who treat her very well. Her room is bright, airy and tastefully decorated. We are pleased with how the home is managed and with the staff who put their service users first. We would recommend this care home.
My mother has only been at Kimberley Care Village for about one month and I have found that all the staff have been very helpful and always greet you with a smile. The manager has always got a jovial way and informs me what is happening with mother. Also, both duty managers are so helpful and also inform me of any care issues. The only downside is the home has outside catering. It would be better if they could cook their own food.
I would recommend Kimberley Care Village to everyone. It can be very hard to make the decision to pass the care of a loved one to someone else. Kimberley Care Village helped to make this difficult time so much easier. I cannot stress enough how happy I was with all the care my dad received. The whole experience with the home was fantastic and made his last time there the best it could have been for all of us. Keeping us informed and making us feel part of every decision. All the staff went above and beyond to help him. He loved them all.
Mum went in as respite care, after spells in hospital plus another home these experiences meant we considered where to be Kimberley is designed on level and easily accessible areas with lifts we were difficult early on constantly questioning things mum, we or visitors felt uncomfortable with complaints now seem insignificant we are grateful for the effort, patience demonstrated in those early days by the staff was exemplary Kind thoughtful giving above and beyond Due to the amount of time spent towards the end of mum's life we were privy daily to workings and realised the service applied at all times not just for visitors The learnings helped Final stage mode of operation was extraordinary the whole team engaged with us, an incredible service the various arrangements required were delivered timely when they felt we could cope We could go on extolling the virtues of these fantastic people anyone contemplating putting a loved one into care Seriously consider here
The care and friendship shown to my elderly mother in the last few months, weeks and days of her life at the Kimberley home in Long Sutton was, without doubt, exemplary. The staff are all lovely people who really look after their guests and treat them as family. My wife and I cannot praise them enough and they made the quality of mum's end of life as good as it could be. Thank you all.
From day one I was impressed with the care given to my Mother. I am grateful to all the staff for their kindness which showed constantly. Also, the support given to my father was exceptional. I am forever grateful.
