View Full Details of Ashwood Care & Nursing HomeAshwood is a pleasant place to visit. You are welcomed by a friendly receptionist. Once admitted you were in a warm and clean atmosphere. Any member of staff that you met gave a friendly smile and a hello. The food was first class, having a great chef. Everywhere was clean, with cleaners active all day. I cannot fault anything with Ashwood.
Overall everything is good. The only thing that is lacking is the amount of time being left on her own, she does get very bored.
All staff at Ashwood are absolutely marvelous, from my brother's arrival at the home, which was late, staff were waiting to welcome him and make him feel at home. They always have time to talk to me and keep me informed, the home is well-managed, clean, and very welcoming. I can't praise the staff enough. Keep up the good work!
Management and staff are very kind and helpful. You can talk to them, they do a good job.
The reception staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The communication between the nurses and the NHS meant that we constantly got up-to-date care for constantly evolving medical conditions. It was easy to get the answers to any questions that occurred.
My stay here at Ashwood is very good. All the staff are friendly and help me out a lot. Because my parents passed away in May 2022 and Nov 2023. My independence once has gone, and now I find I have no car of my own (had to sell my Voxhall Signum). Because of my never-ending problems and sore hip which is healing very slowly - 18 months now - my care regarding the problem area is very good, GP Beechwood is ok but my spinal unit was at a different location
Having used Ashwood for a family member many years ago, I am very impressed to see high standards remain. Each member of staff I have met has been welcoming and helpful. The staff are an asset to the 'Country Court' family. It is a relief to know my dearest friend is safe and so well cared for.
I had no anticipation of what to expect in a care home environment hence I was very apprehensive before my admission to Ashwood. However, all my worries went away when I saw the professionalism, politeness and kindness of all staff members. I was well cared for and feel that I am in a much better state, both physically and mentally than how I came into Ashwood. I thoroughly enjoyed all the meals and all the other facilities that I made use of at Ashwood. I feel like a new person now and I know whom to approach in case I require any care input or advice in the future.
Mum has been at Ashwood for almost 2 years now. From day one she was very happy and settled well. The care home is very cosy, homely and accommodating to all. The staff are amazing and that is what makes Ashwood the place it is. Although mum's Alzheimer's has progressed quite rapidly over the last year she still seems very happy and is well cared for.
Perfect, brilliant, exceptional.
My Mother came here after discharge from the hospital where she was wasting away. The staff and the home have been wonderful and it is lovely to see an improvement in my Mum’s condition. They keep us updated and use their initiative. They are very polite and Mum feels so much more settled.
Mum has been in Ashwood for just over 3 weeks, we are very happy with the care she is receiving. Her room is large and well furnished and warm. All the staff we have come into contact with are all very nice and caring which is all we can wish for.
Mum has been a resident for 12 years and recently celebrated her 100th Birthday with a wonderful party provided by the caring staff in particular 2 staff members who went above and beyond. Her care has been exceptional, did not think when she went in the home 12 years ago that we would be reaching this milestone so goes to show what good care does. Thank you everyone
I am a new resident, my first care home at 69 years. I wasn't sure what to expect but I am very pleased. The staff have all been brilliant and they have ensured I am included as a lot (majority) of residents are a lot older than me.
Ashwood Care Home and its staff are amazing. They care for all the patients and the family, seeing them through the good and bad times. It's very much a family atmosphere. It gives relatives peace of mind knowing loved ones are cared for. Thank you.
My husband's stay was brief, a couple of teething problems but dealt with immediately to high satisfaction.
The staff work hard to provide care under what can at times be very difficult circumstances. The home is kept clean and the residents enjoy the benefits of having an on-site kitchen to provide freshly cooked meals each day. I could not wish for my mother to be better cared for.
All staff who have become a family look after my dad, who has advanced dementia so well. They are kind, caring and patient, and nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommend this caring home-from-home.
A happy place to come. Helpful and cheerful staff. Regular and clear information regarding my mother. Excellent furnishings with satisfactory doorstep appeal on arrival.
My wife likes it here, and the staff are very good at their jobs.
