View Full Details of Cathedral Care CentreWe had to place my mum in care last June - having experienced a dreadful care home in the past for my father, I was dreading it. However Cathedral Care Centre is not like any care home I've ever come across. Firstly mum's room is beautiful and large with a lovely big window - comfy armchair and TV provided. The meals are amazing plus all the daily treats that come around. The activities have been carefully selected taking in account each residents hobbies and interests. My mum is crazy about Elvis - so they regularly have an Elvis impersonator come in and put on a show - to see my mum dancing and singing along is so heartwarming. Mum has her hair and nails done regularly- she is always clean and fresh and wearing all her own clothes (that wasn't the case where my dad was). The staff are so warm and friendly and nothing is too much to ask. Living in New Zealand, I get to see lots of posts on social media - my friend regularly visits mum and says she could move in herself!
Can't fault Cathedral Care Centre. My mum's quality of life has improved immeasurably since she moved there. The staff are all wonderful and can't do enough. Having experienced other Lincoln care homes with my dad, Cathedral is leaps and bounds superior. Thank you to all the amazing staff that help her have a safe and as normal a life as possible and enable her to retain her dignity. She's always clean, nicely dressed and other than the confusion dementia brings, she hasn't looked as well in years.
It is always a pleasure visiting my friend at the Cathedral Care Centre, I am always made to feel very welcome. The care that is shown towards the residents by staff is wonderful and first class. The food and entertainment provided are also excellent. I would definitely recommend this care home.
Mum has been here for over a month now. Lovely atmosphere and the staff are lovely, very friendly, caring and helpful. We couldn't wish for a better place for our mum. We always feel welcome when we go to visit. They certainly take time for our mum and us. Lovely place can highly recommend it.
The team at the home is so kind, patient, and supportive of my Dad - three years on from my last review the standard of care is still excellent, the food is great and the home is clean and welcoming. They have shown endless patience and kindness with Dad. The team is always very friendly, on hand, and happy to see relatives when we arrive. The strong ethos of care, kindness, and respect for residents is manifest and prevails throughout the entire organisation. Thank you so much!
All staff have been fantastic in caring for my Father and he's enjoyed his respite. The home has cared for my Father brilliantly and we have seen a massive improvement in his needs. I would highly recommend this Home to people.
Mum has been a resident at Cathedral Care Centre for almost four years (including the COVID lockdown periods). Throughout all of her time at CCC, Mum has been well looked after. The staff are genuinely caring and relate well to residents. All the staff from the manager to on-site maintenance work as a team to ensure residents are well cared for. The new manager (Jan 24) is also providing a big asset.
Can’t thank them enough! Kind and caring staff that took exceptional care of my dad when we needed it. The manager has been nothing but amazing along with all the other staff! It was so reassuring to see him settled and being so well cared for. Many, many thanks.
Our experience of this home has been nothing but excellent. All staff are kind, friendly and helpful, ranging from care staff, cleaners and kitchen staff. Big shout out to the activity staff, proving great emotional and physical support.
I was taken there by ambulance after a breakdown and stroke on Thursday 30th of March this year. I was unconscious. Recovered my facilities and settled in for a new there in room 7. Very nice room overlooking the central lawn, in view of the national flag and look after the bird feeder and the squirrels!
I came into the Cathedral Care Centre after a trip at home, I'm currently on respite care, the staff made me feel welcome the moment I was greeted at the front door. The home is warm and friendly. My stay in one word 'Lovely' and the staff are doing a fantastic job, not just for me but everyone. I am a vegan and the kitchen staff ensure my diet is followed, I was at the Cathedral for their Halloween party, there was plenty of food for me to eat, the staff joined in and it was one big happy party. I found the cooking club to be fun with plenty of laughing with other residents. I have been studying natural health all my adult life, I have written a book called 'Powerful Cancer Fighting-Foods' staff will sit with me talking about my book, listening to my stories, it is lovely that they are interested in my writing and take time to spend time with me. I just wish I could be here for Christmas, but my respite care would have ended and I will be back at home.
I would like to say that the manager and the staff at this care home have been excellent in all they provide, my husband who has dementia has had respite in December 2021 and is currently there now. He is happy there and thank you for all the care and more you do.
My dad is currently having respite here and this will be his second visit. My dad has Alzheimer’s, the manager of Cathedral Court Centre is lovely along with the other staff, other residents and all the care, food, services they provide, all of this is really good. The building and its rooms are perfect and my dad is happy here, the food is good. The staff are really nice and I think the manager does an amazing job. Inside it is clean, nicely decorated and you get the instant home from home feel. It is well organised and very friendly. I cannot fault this home. They tailor the care and support for each and every person. I would recommend this home with no hesitation and feel it provides an excellent service all-round.
My father was admitted for respite care. He didn't want to be there at all. He desperately wanted to be back home. He, therefore, didn't make life easy for the staff. The staff were amazing and very soon built a great rapport with my father. He had just made the decision to stay at the care home and not go back home when he was taken ill and sadly passed away in hospital. I can't thank the staff enough for the care and dedication they showed my father. I visited the home after his passing to collect his things and everyone there showed such compassion. I was very happy with the service provided for the whole of my father's stay.
My mother-in-law was admitted to Cathedral Care Centre for rehabilitation after a recent fall and a stay in hospital. From the first point of contact, which was a telephone call with the care home manager, to her admission I cannot speak highly enough of the care she has, and still is receiving. All the staff we have met have been so friendly and caring not just towards my mother-in-law but also towards me and the rest of the family. Any questions we have had have been dealt with quickly and efficiently and nothing has been too much trouble. My mother-in-law has been treated with respect and care at all times.
My dad came to Cathedral Care Centre from hospital and he was in some pain and, being usually very independent, very much out of his comfort zone. The staff took time to reassure him and make him feel as secure as possible in unfamiliar surroundings. Living some distance from Lincoln and unable to visit, I really appreciated that the manager spared time to talk to Dad and then update me by telephone. From day to day, the staff have found little ways to make his stay better - from a pot of "proper" Yorkshire Tea to a bowl of ice cream to cheer him up. These things make a difference.
The staff have looked after Mum well. They are all friendly and helpful.
Since the change of ownership, Cathedral Care has improved dramatically. The whole interior is being refurbished and modernised, and gardens are now pleasant for residents and visitors to sit in. The most striking change is the effective leadership and care provided. As a relative, I am now confident that my parent is being treated with love and respect, and his emotional and physical needs are met. The change from the previous owners is dramatic and improves all the time. Well done and thank you to the staff and management for a fantastic job.
The care and compassion of all the staff are to be admired. The manager and her team are very dedicated and take pride in their job. Nothing is too much trouble, the care home is immaculate, the rooms are tastefully decorated and the personal touches like birthdays are remembered and celebrated. We feel better knowing mum is safe and so well looked after. Thank you Cathedral Care, you do an amazing job.
All the staff at Cathedral Care Centre are excellent, they are helpful and always have time for not only the residents but also family and friends. They are extremely caring and they treat the residents as part of their family, you can see the warmth and love they show the residents. I couldn’t ask for better care for my Mum, they are patient, kind-hearted and attentive. I would highly recommend this care home.
