View Full Details of Grosvenor Hall Care HomeThe Grosvenor Hall Care Home exemplifies everything good about the finest residential care on offer. I was privileged to be invited to stay following a traffic accident. I shall always remember how lovely, spotless and comfortable the whole premises were. The staff are wonderful. I felt safe, comfortable and cared for all the time. They work so hard, are professional, caring and looked after us as if they were family. The food was excellent. Lots of choice and such healthy dishes. There can be no better place to stay in England. Thanks to all of you.
My Father was residing in Grosvenor care home for nearly five years and has received constant care and attention, sometimes exceeding our expectations. The kindness of their staff has moved us on many occasions. I can only recommend this care home if you look for a place to welcome your loved one, particularly if they have Alzheimer's disease. Despite his mental and physical decline, he has enjoyed his time there and we can only be grateful to the staff and residents who helped him live the last years of his life comfortably.
My mum was brought here after her knee operation in hospital. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. She was unable to get out of bed, but staff were good changing her nappies when needed. Meals were a bit hit and miss, but I was staying with her so I was able to top up. Beeping from the call buttons were very annoying all through the night.
Top-class care home, one in a million. Fantastic staff.
My mother has been in the care home for eleven years. When she first arrived, she was the life and soul and as the years moved on, she has ended up bedridden, her care has been brilliant, the staff are exemplary.
I've been coming here a few years now and always found the place clean and tidy and everyone is very helpful. I loved the activities and joined in when my aunt was there.
The staff are all very friendly and always have a smile, there are activities for all residents, they try to get them all involved so they get used to socialising. It's a very calm atmosphere, my dad is very content and well looked after. It's more like a hotel. I highly recommend.
I have worked in the care sector for a number of years and have worked in this sector for many of them. I have never worked in the home, however, I have been a visitor for the past 2 years. The first year appeared satisfactory. Unfortunately in this last 12 months, myself and family have witnessed many changes within the home and unfortunately all not positive. My relative and other residents I noticed, never had hygiene and toileting needs met whenever myself or other relatives visited. I had to ask for 3 weeks for her nails to be cleaned to no avail resulting in doing it myself. Staff at times could be very rude and appeared uncaring. On end of life, we weren't told until I visited the next day, along with an unexplained cut to her toe that I had to point out to be treated before infection. End of life medication was in the building however we had to plead with 2 nurses to administer the much needed medication with the backing of 3 staff members at the home. A very disappointing ordeal.
Your staff seem very attentive and make conversation with my good lady although it is a bit one-sided. The meals are excellent, compliments to the chef. Big thank you to everybody.
I have worked and visited many care homes. Grosvenor Hall is by far the best I have experienced. All of the staff always have a smile on their faces. Happy staff - happy residents!
My 82-year-old friend was transferred to Grosvenor Hall in March 2023 from the hospital as he was not well enough to return home and look after himself. He had a terminal illness and he received end-of-life care for the next three months. On my frequent visits over this time, I found all the staff that I came into contact with to be friendly, helpful and very caring. I never failed to be impressed with the grandeur of the building with its stained glass windows, high ceilings and airiness and cleanliness of all public spaces. I got to know many members of staff who always made time to speak with me and let me know how my friend was getting on. I often took him into the large beautifully kept and wheelchair-friendly garden to chat and reminisce. These were precious times. As his condition deteriorated the level of care he received remained faultless. I shall remain forever in debt to the dedicated staff at Grosvenor Hall who looked after my friend with so much love and kindness.
Relocated by the hospital to Grosvenor Hall, I did not know what to expect. Yet, I should have had no fear. The accommodation is very comfortable. The atmosphere is clean and welcoming. The food is phenomenal. However, the staff are loving, caring, careful and always kind. The simple truth is, I want to go home but I have no issue with living at Grosvenor Hall.
The level of care provided by Grosvenor for my father has been of a consistently high standard at all times complimented by clear and transparent communication channels. The staff are extremely dedicated and committed to providing a high level of care within a safe and welcoming environment. I must also say that the home is managed in an efficient and proactive manner and at this level, the management has always been positive and responsive.
My father has been looked after well and his health has improved over the five months of his stay. Covid restrictions have impacted activities understandably. Staff have been friendly, excellent standards of care have been shown to my dad.

Very good, subject to the restrictions of Covid with very limited access to the home.

Mum has been in the home a year. She has settled and is well looked after. She has gained weight and is as happy as we can expect. The variety of foods are good and at times Mum has been given a meal when needed out of mealtimes. Mum doesn't always join in with activities but when she does she gets involved.
