View Full Details of Holbeach & East Elloe Hospital TrustHolbeach hospital took care of my friend who was taken ill very suddenly at age 45. My friend was only at Holbeach hospital for the last two weeks of his life, after a short but dignified battle with cancer. The staff was wonderful and caring, taking time into getting to know him and his needs. His room was clean and tidy with clean bed linen on at all times. The staff reassured my friend during the most stressful and hardest time of his life. They made is final journey that bit more bearable. They would contact me as my friend requested, when he was unable to do so. Holbeach hospital looked after him so very well. Nothing was to much trouble. Even when the end came, he was so looked after, cleaned and dressed to be picked up by the funeral director. Treated with dignity and respect from start to finish. Thank you.
My dad was here for about 4 months and they were absolutely fantastic with him, any concerns they had they would always ring straight away. Could not have asked for better people to look after him, while he was at the end of life he always looked clean, tidy and comfortable. Would definitely recommend.
My mother was transferred to this hospital from another hospital with their transition care process. Exemplary care was given to her by every member of the team which aided her successful recovery from a bad fall. Never having spent an overnight in a hospital before in her lifetime (aged 88) her experience at Holbeach Hospital/Care Home was faultless. She certainly appreciated everyone’s kindness and support which went above and beyond at all times of the day and night. (The meals were delicious and enjoyed fully which also aided recovery!) We would like to send a very big ‘thank you’ to each member of staff for giving my mother such a memorable and positive experience under her difficult circumstances.
Can not thank the staff enough for the excellent care they gave my mum in her last 2 weeks of life. We couldn't have asked for any more, from the managers, nursing and caring staff, all polite and friendly. We are so lucky to have this facility in the area.
When my father arrived at Holbeach hospital in June 2017, he was admitted as end-of-life. The care and dedication of the nurses and other caring staff was excellent, second to none and we couldn't have wished for better. Slowly, he was weaned off puree food and a catheter. He always looks clean and tidy, he also eats fresh cooked soft food. The home have a wide variety of activities that any/all residents can join in. Also, in the summer, weather permitting, some are taken out in the minibus to different events. I have no doubt without the staff's dedication he would not be with us today.
My dad has been in Holbeach Hospital for nearly a year and I could not ask for better care, friendship and support for him and myself. All levels of staff go above and beyond and it always feels like home from home.
I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and the care home team, they not only look after the resident to a very high standard but take time to make sure the visitors are happy too. For me the care home is a place where I also feel safe as a Parkinson's sufferer visiting my friend, allowing my husband much-needed respite. So thank you to the manager and all the staff.
All staff are happy and caring when dealing with the residents, and the visitors are made very welcome. The residents are always smiling and happy. It's also nice to hear that the residents get to be able to choose to be able to be taken out, some of them, for a pint at their local.
I could never thank all the staff enough for what they did for my husband. He was in a motorcycle accident and was bedridden when he went to Holbeach. Oh my god, they worked wonders with him. Nothing was too much trouble for them - 24 hours a day, they were so kind to me and our three daughters. Amazing people; they are all angels. Thank you so much - amazing place.
My nan was taken into Holbeach Hospital on an end-of-life bed at the beginning of November 23. The managers and the careers were all fantastic and welcoming to us all as a family, as well as the incredible care they gave to my nan; she managed to be discharged after 12 weeks and returned home, something we never imagined would happen. Sadly, she has now passed away, but without the care and compassion of Holbeach Hospital, we would never have been able to spend the time we did with our nan.
Always find the staff friendly, and the care is excellent. The hospital is clean and tidy, and the choice of food is very good. There is a great selection of activities going on in the day room during the day.
Excellent care and friendly welcome. We are very lucky to have this facility in Holbeach to look after people at the end of their lives. We couldn’t have asked for more. It is like a family and is a very special place close to many people’s hearts.
A lovely group of nurses and staff. Always friendly and approachable and willing to update me on how my mum is doing. I feel she's well looked after and cared for in all areas. The nurses always make my mum smile when they enter the room and take the time to talk and make conversation with her. I always speak highly to friends regarding Mum's care. Keep up the excellent work.
The staff do a great job of caring for my mother. They are all friendly and are happy to answer any questions you may have. The place is always clean and tidy. I really cannot thank them enough.
My Mum was cared for at Holbeach Hospital for over three years. The care was exemplary with Mum being brought back from end of life three times. She was always very happy to be cared for there and forged relationships with some of the regular staff. As a family, the quality of care ensured we could feel relaxed and assured of Mum's safety and well-being. We are so glad Mum's final years were at Holbeach Hospital. We believe it was the best home for Mum. The staff are Angels without wings and we will be forever grateful to them.
My friend is receiving excellent care, is taken out on outings and has a lovely variety of meals. The staff are kind and considerate; they cheer her up when she's having a low point and generally enhance her day. Long may it continue.
A wonderful home and facility for Holbeach to have, their care and compassion at end of life is wonderful, we would not have wanted our dad to go anywhere else. The staff are all friendly and helpful and the care they give means you can rest knowing your loved one is well looked after.
My mother has been at Holbeach & East Elloe Hospital Nursing Home for 1 year and is very happy there. Her room is large and comfortable. The food gets rave reviews, excellent choices and much variety. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who have brought her out of her loneliness and depression with their many kindnesses. The activities coordinators have encouraged her to join in the many activities and take her out on lots of outings. She also has regular visits to the in-house hairdresser and chiropodist who help her well-being. All in all, a well-run, happy home with wonderful staff.
My mum came into the hospital on a short stay due to breaking her arm. The staff were very friendly and always helpful in my mum's care. Also, the physical therapist got my mum walking better than when she went into hospital. So a big thanks to you all. She’s doing really well at home.
An absolutely wonderful care home! The staff cannot do enough for the residents. They are always putting something on to keep them entertained and serving a lovely variety of meals. Every single staff member I have had the pleasure of meeting has been nothing short of fantastic! Thank you so much for all of the hard work you do to make sure my relative is comfortable and happy.
