View Full Details of Swanholme Court Care HomeMy mother-in-law was admitted to Swanholme Court in early November 2024 after a prolonged stay in the local hospital with complex abdominal problems. This caused a deterioration in her mobility, along with her established recent memory issues. We have found the home to be welcoming and very supportive. She now has regular access to physiotherapy which is helping her gradually improve mobility. The care home always appears very clean and is clearly well-run. In particular, we have found the staff friendly, approachable and extremely professional and caring. The manager has been very proactive in terms of dealing with any queries or concerns. Highly recommended.
I would like to thank all management and staff for their kind and concerned care of my father in the last months of his life. I appreciate the constant attention and concern of all.
Overall very good but sometimes felt that the staff had more than enough to do.
Swanholme Court is a friendly and welcoming home especially the staff who go the extra mile for the residents and their families. There is a good variety of food available but a small issue of the food being cold and having to be warmed up in the microwave can be an issue. There is a good variety of activities on offer for the residents in the home and trips out, however, some residents seem to get the chance to go out more often than others whether this is due to the lack of activity staff to accompany them or other factors. The safety of the staff and residents has been a concern of my family over the past month or so especially as one resident gets physically and verbally aggressive to other residents, staff and visitors therefore we feel more should be done to protect the staff and residents.
Mum has been happy here for the last 12 months, it's a lovely home that houses just under 30 residents. The staff are amazing and welcome you like family. The home is immaculately clean and modern, they are a dementia specialist home so I know my mum is in good hands and their understanding even on her bad days is fantastic. I would not hesitate to recommend the home to anyone.
My dad stayed there for a short time, the staff were excellent towards him, trying to make him feel at home. I would recommend this care home to anyone who needs to place their family. One of the best I have ever been to.
Staff have all shown my mother the utmost care and compassion.
My mother took a week or so to settle in, but after this she has been happy and well looked after by all the kind and caring staff. There is a nice atmosphere and everywhere is always clean. There is a good choice of food for her and the staff are always very accommodating. So a big thank you to all the staff. Well done on a hard job.
I find all the staff very kind and helpful. Everyone is helpful, nothing is too much trouble when you ask for assistance. I am very happy living here.
I’ve visited several care homes over the past 6 months and given a choice of stay this would be my preferred home for a relative. It’s just lovely. It’s clean and well-maintained. The staff are attentive and knowledgeable and not forgetting the food which is well presented and plentiful. Thank you to everyone involved.
I have always found the staff supportive, kind and compassionate, with excellent team working. The home has a happy atmosphere and feels welcoming and inclusive. I feel my mum is safe and cared for when I am not there, and pleased I chose this home for her.
Everyone has been so friendly and helpful. Mum has settled really well and has already made new friends! The staff are very caring and attentive. So far, Mum has really enjoyed the facilities and appreciated the care and attention she has received. The food has been lovely, and her room is very comfortable. I am so pleased I can get on with my work, knowing Mum is happy in the best place for her!
Mum had a week of respite care in Swanholme Court Care Home and loved it. She continues to tell me how much she enjoyed the company and also being able to feel helpful, just little tasks. She refers to her week as like staying in a five-star hotel. She said the staff were lovely and the food gorgeous. Many thanks to all.
Grand work, no complaints at all. Visit regularly and find the staff always helpful. My wife can be difficult at times, but she is always dealt with kindness and consideration. I am pleased we chose Swanholme to care for my wife.
My review is based on the fact that my mum frequently says how happy she is at home. The home is always spotless, the staff are lovely and always very welcoming. The home was recommended to us by some friends who we trusted, and who had a relative at the home. We are convinced that we made the right choice.
After visiting my mum on her birthday, I found the staff to be both helpful and supportive of both residents and families. Even organising a birthday cake for her. Always very welcoming and keep us informed of any issues, events, policies, and most importantly, that my mum is okay.
They made Mum feel very special on her birthday by making her a cake - a lovely thought. They are always doing things with the residents every day. Many thanks for the care you give the residents.
I visited my friend regularly from the time she entered the care home, which if I remember correctly, was 2019. Unfortunately, because of Covid and the lockdowns, these visits had to stop. I always found the staff very friendly, heard from my friend and his family and saw for myself how caring the staff were to the residents. The whole atmosphere was excellent, and I would not hesitate to recommend it to others or go there myself if needed.
My auntie lived at Swanholme for 18-months until she passed away last month. The staff were always friendly and welcoming. It is a small home with a cost atmosphere. My auntie was well cared for, and treated with dignity and respect. She enjoyed outings to gardens centres and the coast in the homes minibus and the freedom to choose to join in activities in the lounge or stay quietly in her room. Thank you Swanholmw.
We had to put Dad into respite care when Mum became ill. We were unsure to start with as with the present COVID restrictions we were unable to view the home beforehand but once meeting the friendly staff they soon put our minds at ease. Nothing was too much trouble if we couldn’t get hold of Dad, they would take a phone so we could speak as visiting was restricted. We lost Mum whilst Dad was staying and they made sure Dad was always ok, spending time with him so he can talk about Mum. They were really professional and took all the COVID restrictions very seriously. Once dad returned home, he came back looking better than he had for ages and all his belongings were nice and clean. Can’t thank the staff enough for looking after Dad through these tough times.
