View Full Details of Nettleton ManorMy grandmother was transferred to Nettleton Manor in 2021 from another care home that couldn’t cope with her. She was suffering from dementia. Our family were very impressed with the staff at Nettleton, they are busy but always have time to chat and let you know how your relative is doing. My grandmother's room was bright, airy, clean and cosy with a view of the garden. Within just three or four weeks of being at Nettleton Manor my grandmother started smiling, holding our hands again, responding to conversation and had a complete personality change for the better. Despite the dementia you could tell she was so much happier at Nettleton Manor. The staff gained her confidence enough to be able to get her to the day room and try as best as she could to have social interaction. The whole family were overjoyed to see glimpses of the person that had been previously lost and were thrilled to bits that she was so well looked after in her final days. I thoroughly recommend Nettleton Manor.
I would just like to say that Mother was moved to Nettleton Manor because of a change in her needs. Even on the second day there I noticed how she was brighter and happier than I had seen for some time. She was interacting with the staff which was not what I was used to seeing on my visits. The staff are amazing and the ones who were there from July 22 to March 18th 2023 when mother passed the care she received was outstanding. I will forever be grateful for the way they care and made those last days comfortable and for how happy she was at Nettleton.
My uncle has dementia and needs care 24/7. Whenever I have visited him I have found the staff to be very patient, caring and understanding. They are also welcoming to us as well as I tend to bring 2 or 3 of his relatives given the distances we travel. I attended a recent care review with the management team and found them to be very thorough and well-prepared to answer the detailed questions from social services. The actual home itself may look a little rundown but there is no substitute for the care and attention my uncle receives.
We moved my Mum and Dad here in May. They were the only home that would let my parents share a room. My Mum was on palliative care at the time and my Dad has Alzheimer’s and Vascular dementia. My Dad just needs reminding to do things but is perfectly capable of handling his personal care. The staff treated my parents with so much dignity and love from the very beginning. My Mum has since passed but Dad is remaining in that room because it is too disruptive to his mental health to move him. They can keep an eye on him too as he really does not belong in a locked ward with other dementia patients. He loves to tell his stories and the staff and other guests have embraced him as family. He often doesn’t want to leave to come out with us because he is so happy there. This is all that matters to us. We don’t care if the wallpaper matches his bedding, or if there is expensive artwork on the walls. Thank you Nettleton Manor for all you do.
My Grandfather turned up at Nettleton Manor from the hospital a very sad and dejected 99-year-old man. Nettleton Manor opened their doors to him and took him in. He was taken from the hospital with no paperwork or anything. The manager and his team have been amazing with Grandad. My family and I can't thank him enough. The team at Nettleton are second to none. Thank you thank you thank you.
With a sudden deterioration in our mother’s physical and mental health, we were recommended Nettleton Manor and couldn’t be more pleased. On arrival, we noticed a distinct calming and friendly atmosphere to the home in contrast to her previous setting. The nursing care offered has already seen an improvement and have noticed all the other staff have the same caring attitude and could not be more helpful. Knowing she is in safe hands is a great relief to the family and removed an enormous amount of stress from the previous 4 months.
I’m a wife of a resident in Nettleton Manor. The care my husband has had since moving to the care home to the present day is second to none. We as a family couldn’t wish for better care than what my husband is getting. The care staff are all lovely to my husband and very caring to us as a family. The welcome we get is very caring. It’s a bit of a drive from me but to know he’s been looked after 100% is worth it. A* care home. Our family can sleep at night knowing he’s been cared for properly.
Both my parents have called Nettleton Manor their home and although my father has since passed, my mother is still a resident. The care and nursing they receive is exemplary. COVID has brought lots of challenges for the home and ourselves but we have overcome them and have been very impressed with new procedures in place at Nettleton. We are a large family who take an active role in the welfare of our mother and often visit and telephone. She has a lovely room which looks out onto the woods, a blessing since she has become bedridden. We have always been kept updated with our mother's well-being and feel able to speak to the staff if any issues have arisen and worked together to resolve them. While there has been a change of staff, the family is impressed with how the new members have settled in, that is down to the management team, they are to be congratulated. On our Mom's 85th, a cake was made and a lot of effort was put in to make sure she had a special day.
Open the door and enter a beating heart of love, affection and care for the patients. My husband was sent here for palliative care for the final 9 days of his life. I am not sure who was cared for the most, my husband or myself as I was able to spend the time with him until the end. What a privilege, especially when most people during covid never got the chance to even say goodbye. He was treated with respect and his dignity intact. I am not sure that there are words to say how comforting it is when such warmth is mixed with dedication and professionalism. He was comfortable and relaxed, which in itself shows he felt safe and cared for. A huge thank you to everyone, from the nurses, carers, catering and general staff. I shall remember you all with great affection.
Dad is 88 years old and suffers from late-stage dementia and Alzheimer's disease and until early March 2021, lived at home with mum as his carer. It was a terribly difficult and stressful decision we as a family had to take to finally move him into a care home, but the whole process has been made so much easier thanks to the wonderfully caring and dedicated staff at Nettleton Manor. I can say without reservation or hesitation, that from the moment dad arrived, he's been treated with nothing but respect and love and was immediately considered a part of their family. It's humbling to see how he has settled in, he is so clearly totally at ease, blissfully happy and feeling safe and content. Everyone at Nettleton Manor care home is a credit and example to the profession, this is how it should be done everywhere, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. They take most of the worry out of a very worrying time. Thank you for looking after dad - we couldn't wish for a more supportive and caring team.
The staff are lovely and very caring. I have peace of mind knowing my husband is well cared for. I find the staff are forthcoming with information regarding my husband's treatment and are always available to answer any queries which I may have.
Although we are devastated at the loss of our lovely Mum, we cannot praise the nursing staff and care assistants enough for their dedication, kindness, and compassion not only to Mum but to us as well. We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts, you do an amazing job and go above and beyond your duties. You are all truly amazing and we are so grateful for your support and love in Mum’s final days. To the owner, your staff are a credit to you, thank you.
My husband has been here for almost 7 and a half years, during that time he has always been treated with kindness and respect by all members of staff, nothing is too much trouble for them. The family are always welcome, and the staff were so kind when I had an accident. They do lots of things for the residents and members of the family of the residents, they do Christmas Fayres etc, all in all, outstanding service. Kind Regards
The home has done a good job of caring for my Cousin. The staff are very good. But the home is very tired and in need of significant refurbishment. Staff and managers are trying hard but the environment needs uplifting. Satisfactory could then be Good and Excellent. Thank you.
My dad has been a permanent resident here since July 2018, it was a difficult decision for us for my dad to leave his family home. We have never doubted our choice, Nettleton Manor has cared for my dad personally and physically since his arrival. They have met every health need, gone above and beyond their professional responsibility to ensure his comfort and medical needs were attended to at all times. The care staff and nursing team treat my dad with the dignity and respect that he deserves, making him safe and always striving towards improvement for him within his new surroundings. The integrity and dedication of the staff here and management speaks volumes for their devotion to caring for their residents who are thoroughly integrated into seasonal and family orientated activities. Wonderful, welcoming, friendly and professional staff make this place the most suitable and first and only choice of care for my elderly dad.
The carers are lovely and look after me well. The nurses are brilliant, the food is wonderful I enjoy my meals everyday. I am very happy living at Nettleton Manor.
I enjoy the food at Nettleton and look forward to the new menus. The nurses look after me well and I always have my medication on time. The care staff look after me well, overall I am happy at Nettleton Manor and I'm looking forward to our outings in spring.
My brother is very happy at Nettleton Manor. He's extremely well looked after. We know he can't really help himself a lot anymore but the staff take care of all of his needs. The staff are lovely and welcoming and always happy to see residents and their visitors. They also make a lovely cup of tea!
I think the home is lovely. I can't fault it. All the staff are nice and polite, my brother's been a resident for almost 7 years. I've never seen him so well kept, he enjoys his meals. I'd recommend Nettleton Manor to everyone.
My father has been a resident at Nettleton Manor since October 2016. He has dementia and gets confused easily. Throughout his time at Nettleton Manor, he has thrived. He is happy, well fed, in good physical health and enjoys the company of both the staff and other residents. My dad loves to play the piano and despite having dementia he is still able to do this and is encouraged to do so.
