View Full Details of Nightingale House Care CentreI have had nothing but good experiences. Staff are caring, supportive and extremely friendly. All supporting facilities are very good. E.g food, activities etc. The room is a little small and tucked away, but she does appear to be content with it. All in all, a lovely place for her care, safety and companionship.
Great establishment. Far better than others we looked at locally. Staff are caring, friendly and empathetic. Leadership team in the home work well to ensure comfort, safety and dignity of relatives. The meals are great. Nothing is too much trouble despite, what I'm sure, are some demanding residents. I'd certainly recommend Nightingale House Care Centre above any others I've experienced.
The kindness, caring and support shown by the team at Nightingale House during my dad's 2-month stay was very good. My dad arrived at the home, having not such great health and experiencing some tough situations. The team supported him and helped return him to fitness enabling him to come home. Thank you!
My mum was admitted at very short notice and from the get-go was treated with utmost care and given great attention. She was very, very poorly. In 6 months the constant care, friendship and medical expertise has literally changed my Mum's life. I cannot praise the staff enough and I will be eternally grateful to everyone involved in Mum's care. She now enjoys a very varied and happy life. Thank you all.
Initially, my sister was admitted to Nightingale House for two weeks respite care in early October. She was very disoriented at the time, but was treated with respect and care immediately by all of the relevant members of the care team. Wheels were quickly put in motion for her to be assessed and they kept my husband and I up to date at all times. Four months later, my sister is a different person and is totally content to be looked after by the team. Without exception, they have been amazing with their care, attention and knowledge and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. She has finally been diagnosed with Alzheimer's, but my family and I are very happy that she is receiving the best of care and is content to be looked after by the brilliant care team at Nightingale House. Thank you.
Our father has been a resident for a year and has always been well looked after. There are plenty of activities that he enjoys and the staff have a lovely relationship with him. This review is for a particular period in November when sadly our mother was on end of life care. Luckily there was a space for her at Nightingale House and her last few days were spent in the wonderful care of the staff. Not only were all of her needs met but the compassion of the staff allowed my father and us four children time with her to say goodbye. We were made so comfortable, drinks and snacks were even offered to us, and they went beyond duty during the most difficult time. We will be forever grateful to Nightingale House.
My mum was in the care home for about fifteen months before she passed away. She loved it, she was well-looked after, all the staff were lovely, always had time to chat with Mum, she enjoyed playing bowls, board games and puzzles and she liked it when the children went to sing to them, she also liked when the hairdresser did her hair. Mum was very happy there, she loved all the staff, they always had time to have a chat with her, she loved the food and loved the puddings. Nightingale House is the best care home and I'm pleased I was able to get Mum in. Thank you to all staff for looking after my mum so well.
My first experience at this care centre. Excellent greetings, plus a welcome card. My room is very good with adequate space - a cupboard, dressing table for my clothes. The laundry was very good with the daily collection and returned immediately. All staff are very good at being polite and helpful. The meals were excellent plus cups of tea and plentiful fresh water.
The staff here are absolutely amazing, kind and caring to my mum. They take care of her every need and I'm happy that she's being well looked after. One staff member is so helpful, she loves mum and is always willing to talk to you about her. Thank you.
I did not want my husband to go into a home but due to my own ill health, I had no choice. I have been very pleased with the care my husband has had since last October, I received so much understanding from the staff, and they give him a lot of personal care to help him to settle. Everyone I talk to has nothing but praise for Nightingale as well. Thank you all for the wonderful job you are doing.
Very happy with the way my auntie is looked after; she is very happy. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble whenever you have a query. The rooms are very clean and bright.
My mum was in Nightingale House Care Centre for 6-years until her death in October 2021, she was always very happy there and I was very happy with all the care she received. All the staff were always friendly and very caring and happily put up with all of Mum's quirky little ways. Mum loved the activities provided on a daily basis and got involved as much as she could. I was always contacted when Mum was ill, and also kept well up to date with the situation throughout all of the stressful months of Covid. The end of Mum's life was very difficult for me and the help and support I got from everyone at the Home was second to none and I will always be eternally grateful for that. Nightingale House is a very friendly and comfortable home, and I would happily recommend it to anyone.
Fantastic home, staff really caring. Mum didn’t want to go in a home but due to Alzheimer’s there was no choice. Now settled and happy and well cared for. She loves the activities, always plenty going on.
I am generally satisfied with the Nightingale House Care Centre. Whenever I visit or phone, the staff are friendly and courteous. My mother initially booked herself into the home and, though she does complain on occasions, seems generally satisfied. When it has been necessary, the home has not hesitated to contact the hospital or ambulances, and their approach to the Covid situation has been very successful. Mum doesn't eat well, but the home is trying to get her to eat without forcing the issue.
Dad reluctantly went into the care home in April. After a rough start, he settled quite quickly but that's through the brilliant care he has received. Everyone is very friendly and the care given to dad has been excellent. I don't feel dad is alone at all and am really pleased we found a home that really does have a passion for the care given and it's not just a job. I wouldn't want dad anywhere else. Excellent all round in my opinion.
Management and staff have gone to great lengths to keep everyone safe and entertained during these very difficult times. Being able to visit once more, even with these obvious measures in place is a joy. My very grateful thanks to all the staff, not only for the kindness and caring of my husband but, the support is given to me during a very difficult and emotional time. You are all truly heroic!
Thanks to all staff at Nightingale care centre for looking after my Dad. The care you gave him was first class and the support you gave me was a big help. Thank you all.
My Mum needs 2 carers for all her needs due to a stroke. I think it would be nice if certain carers spent more time with the residents (for a chat etc). Generally speaking, the home is good but there is always room for improvement. Meals could be hotter. The variation is much better now menus are on view for everyone to see. As with every job, some people are better at their job than others. We all have to accept that nowhere is like your own home.
Mum came reluctantly to this care home in October. It has been an unexpected and swift transition for her from independent living which Mum has not taken to easily. From our first visit to look at the home to this date, every single staff member has shown kindness, endless patience and emotional support. Mum is always treated with dignity, respect and much personal warmth. As Mum's physical needs have proved to be quite demanding at times, I am very grateful for how the staff have adapted her room to make life easier for her yet still allow and encourage independence. This is a lovely happy place to live and I am so pleased we found it for my Mum.
