View Full Details of Toray Pines Care HomeI find it very nice, very clean and very helpful. Mum is looked after very well.
The carers and other staff were all very friendly and caring. Lovely, lovely staff.
Since my nan arrived in July on respite care and then on to becoming a full-time resident, the staff have been helpful in helping her settle in, and keeping her busy with activities the best they can. They phone when and if they have a concern. They have even taken her out on trips.
I find the staff very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble.
My cousin has been made very welcome at Toray Pines. The food is excellent and the care is very good. They went above and beyond to get her a room at very short notice. Every time I visit she is very content.
Toray Pines is a warm, welcoming home with first-class, hard-working, caring and compassionate staff, and the interaction with residents, their families and friends is heartwarming. Management is always available to help regarding any concerns. Food always looks appetising and smells delicious, great menu choices too! Would highly recommend this 'home from home'.
When visiting both relatives, the staff are easily approachable. Will give information and updates freely. The atmosphere is very friendly, you can have a laugh and are encouraged to participate in activities and events.
Overall a good experience, all staff ready to assist on request. All questions/queries answered to a satisfactory level. All staff from management downwards pleasant to talk to, willing to discuss any matters within reason and within confidentiality boundaries. Both my parents are in the home and they seem happy and content with their situation.
Mum came into Toray Pines for some respite care. She settled so well that we have applied for full-time care. All the carers, second to none, have shown nothing but respect, kindness and understanding of Mum's needs. Even when at her most difficult times they have been so caring. It is a pleasure to visit this wonderful place and see Mum almost back to the Mum I once had. I would recommend this home to anyone. Top class.
Visited my nan today and she looks well and I asked if she was happy and she said yes.
What a happy home. From the moment you walk into Toray Pines there's smiling and chatter. The carers are busy, always, it's relentless, but they stop and listen to any worries or concerns or just say hello. They work with respect, humour and compassion. Mum is always clean and content, in fact more often than not she's laughing, a lot! Interaction between staff ad residents and amongst residents themselves is great. My only ongoing gripe is that the exterior of the building and the grounds need some maintenance which doesn't appear to be being address, but Mum doesn't know that and her wellbeing is what's important and that is very well catered for. Thank you Toray Pines.
My mum has been there for a few years now, and she has been looked after exceptionally well. All the staff are lovely and always approachable. The manager has always been there to discuss anything, and the food looks and smells amazing. Under the circumstances, there is always a positive and happy atmosphere.
A good, safe home with excellent staff who always put the safety and care of the residents first. Could look at a system that protects residents' property from other residents. This refers to the dementia unit, so I understand the difficulty. It does however get extremely irritating. Other than that, extremely good home that provides a safe space for my dad.
Dad has settled in, even now joining some events that are put on in the care home. The staff have been very good with him. The food is good. Everyone is now in a routine of making sure his hearing aids are on him or in his room.
My mum stayed with you in January allowing me to go away for a break. This was the first time Mum had stayed in a home and said she would be happy to stay again. It was nice to have piece of mind and not worry while we were away.
We visit the care home on a regular basis and always find it clean and welcoming, the staff are helpful and very caring towards residents. We always look forward to visiting and carrying out the church service for the residents.
My stay, to date, has been very good. Staff are kind and friendly. Food is good.
My dad has just completed a 3 week period of respite care while our mum recovered from a hip replacement. The home manager and the team at Toray Pines provide an excellent standard of care, they have been there for Dad when we could not. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Toray Pines to anyone who is looking for care for a loved one whether that is respite or a permanent basis. You have to be a special kind of individual to work in care, you certainly don’t do it for the money. The home manager's team has those special individuals in spades!
The care staff are wonderful and management and administration are really helpful with any issues that arise. If there is a negative it's the size of the room that is allocated to our relative. By today's standards, it's really not adequate to meet the needs of a resident who's reliant on hoisting for all transfers and a wheelchair user. I appreciate the building was probably adequate when it was first built and some rooms are of a higher specification.
My mother has been a resident at Toray Pines since 2001 so I think I am well versed in the care and love she has and is receiving. The staff have always shown care and compassion towards her and at the outset her dear sister and friend. As a community the town is very fortunate to have Toray Pines where os many friends spend their later years. Mum would no longer be with us if it wasn't for the Toray team's care and attention.
