Dad moved in 3 days ago. He has been cared for in such a kind and professional way. It has been a hard move for him to make but the staff have been so caring with him. The home feels like a home and I have complete confidence they will make/help Dad settle well.

Dad has only been in this care home for 3 days, the staff have been incredible and so helpful. The environment in the home is so friendly.

I can not express enough the care and attention shown to my mother during her 5+ year residency. From the kitchen and cleaning staff to the activity organiser, carers, nursing staff and manager, all very professional and always polite and caring even when my mother was difficult. Nothing was a problem and everyone willing to make her life as comfortable as possible. To be with mu mother at the end was a privilege. Thank you to two members of staff in particular for letting me get to you in time. I can no recommend Avenue House Nursing and Care Home highly enough. Sorry for the late response, I need time to cope with Mums death.

During the two and a half years my father spent in this home I had one minor problem concerning agency staff. When I approached the management about it, it was rectified immediately. I cannot speak highly enough of this care home!

My father who died on 6th September 2024 had been a resident at Avenue House for two and a half years; for most of that time, he was confined to bed. I have nothing but the highest praise for the staff who cared for Dad as did he. His room and bed linen were always at the highest standard of cleanliness. I cannot thank Avenue House enough.

Attended the unfortunately wet summer fete, but have already enjoyed the extended garden and outside seating area. Very nice, very well catered for as usual. The staff are always positive and helpful. Always happy to visit and enjoy the avenue.

Mum has been at Avenue House for 2 years. The carers know her and are always helpful and look after her needs and as a family, we feel reassured with Mum's care. The home is friendly and always welcoming. Any issues can be raised and dealt with.

I have been very happy with the care my mum continues to receive at Avenue House. The staff are amazing and always keep our family up to date with changes in medication etc. The food is always to a high standard and the entertainment ladies put in so much effort.

My mother is very comfortable at Avenue House Nursing & Care Home and is very happy living in a very friendly community. The staff are all extremely caring and professional and always eager to assist my mother with a smile and make visitors feel very welcome.

Avenue House is a very nice home to attend, visit and be in. The manager and staff are all lovely, helpful and caring. The atmosphere in the home is always positive, the residents are encouraged to join in and be part of all activities.

Visit regularly when activities are taking place, residents enjoy singing, probably would enjoy their own karaoke afternoon. Nice to see most enjoying the afternoon, and participating.

Mum has been in Avenue House for 6 years. She has always been treated with dignity and kindness by all the staff. The manager is always available to speak to about any problems, we have always found the staff to be happy in their work and they are rewarded with incentives for excellent performance. I would always recommend Avenue House to any friends or relatives who were looking for a home for their loved ones.

My mum has been at this care home for over two years. I have always been thankful for the way my mum has been cared for. It is lovely to see how happy the whole team appears. If they are happy, their feelings are passed onto the residents. Thank you for doing your best for my mum.

I am a resident at Avenue House. I lived here for the past two years. I like it here, I have a nice room. The staff are excellent.

A lovely home, team are very helpful and my nan is settled here and seems happy. Food looks lovely and my nan is always doing activities which is nice to see. Team are always helpful and nothing is ever too much trouble.

My nana has been a resident here for five years. Staff are always friendly and caring.

Our mother has lived at Avenue house for 2 years. It was her choice to go into a home as she was struggling living on her own and needed company. We all now have peace of mind, she looks upon the staff as her family and often says Avenue House is now her home. Mum loves the food including food at social events. The staff are very hard working and friendly. There was a dedicated entertainment member of staff and Mum really enjoyed joining in with the activities provided. This person left and there does not seem to be a proactive approach to recruiting someone, they seem to think that they can cope with someone who is part-time and someone else who changes their duties to do this role 2 days a week. Although the staff carrying out the arrangement are doing their best, they are definitely not a substitute for a member of staff dedicated for providing entertainment. Mum often says she is bored, we have seen the difference it makes to her well-being.
