View Full Details of Duncote Hall Nursing & Residential HomeIn the eighteen months or so that I have been at Duncte Hall I have had no off-putting experiences and the overall experience has been very good, especially the nursing cover. Foodwise I have to have what I am given (Tracheostomy)
All good, happy with everyone and mum seems very happy where she is and we love how the team are with her. Her needs are seen to as far as we can see. Thanks to all concerned at the care home for their dedication.
Mum has been cared for in Duncote Hall since the end of 2021. During this time she has been looked after with great kindness and dignity. She has a range of needs and the nursing team are excellent at ensuring she is seen by the doctor when needed and ensuring she takes all her medication at the right time. The staff are very friendly and caring both to my mum and the visitors she has. There are a range of activities each week which she is able to participate in. Her room is on the ground floor so she is able to get around easily and it has a lovely view over the garden. Mum is happy and well cared for at Duncote which means so much to us as a family.
Overall the care home is good but there are a few things which could improved. I'm told by my dad that the food at lunchtime is not good, and left most of the time. Also, the heating in the lounge room is very hot and not a lot of ventilation. When visiting my dad is found in the same area and seems to be just left in his wheelchair.
My mum is in a very difficult place and the care she has received at Duncote Hall has been exceptional. That she is still alive is down to the care she has received and the way the staff have treated her. I have always been welcomed and since she has deteriorated they have ensured that she is comfortable, clean, and fed and her pain is managed.
A huge thank you to all of the care and nursing staff who cared for my late uncle. You all provided the highest standards of care to him. I highly recommend the home personally. You are all truly wonderful and a big credit to the company.
The care my mum is receiving is outstanding. As a family, we are so pleased which takes away the stress. Everyone nurses, carers, admin staff and managers are wonderful to her. My mum says the staff are her angels. After visiting her we always feel assured that she is being given the best of care in every aspect. Thank you to you all for this.
My mum has thrived since moving to Duncote Hall last August. She has advanced dementia, but always seems content in herself and is clearly being looked after well by the staff who always treat her with dignity. In addition, the staff are always very friendly, and we are made to feel very welcome whenever we visit mum.
My mum was welcomed into Duncote Hall at the end of October. Whilst it's only been a short while, I have to say, the level of care and support given to my mum has been first-class. The management has been supportive of the family, and the carers and nurses have been wonderful. The way the carers interact with my mum is a joy to see. The carers and nurses need to be aware of how wonderful they are. This has been such a comfort to the family at what has been a very stressful time. Our greatest thanks to all at Duncote Hall.
My dad is living at Duncote Hall, from the moment he went into the home he has been treated with dignity and respect and his wishes have always been respected. The staff are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble.
My mother came to Duncote Hall suffering from dementia and also breast cancer. We knew her time was limited but didn't realise by how much. The care she received at the home was exemplary and she made friends and came back to life somewhat through different things that were going on during the daytime hours. Although Mum didn't want to eat anything, the staff were trying to coax her and we were grateful for every morsel she ate or sip of drink she took. She was comfortable in her last days and I would like to thank the whole team for their care and dedication.
I cannot fault the care given to my mother during her stay with you at Duncote Hall Nursing & Residential Home. Mum was encouraged to join in the activities regularly. Mum was not the greatest eater and drinker but the staff encouraged her to try and eat and drink regularly. Her room was clean and tidy with a lovely view over the garden. Unfortunately, Mum passed away but the care during and after her passing was second to none. Thank you.
My wife had diabetes, breast cancer and vascular dementia. During her brief time in Duncote Hall, she was well cared for by all the staff. She was difficult to feed but the staff made every effort to feed her, one-to-one. The activity organiser made every effort to keep the residents happy i.e. games, colouring and sing-along. After my wife passed away, I can only praise the care and compassion shown by the staff towards my family and their professionalism was brilliant. My family intend to donate two benches for the remembrance garden as a measure of our thanks and gratitude to Duncote Hall staff.
My dad was a resident at Duncote Hall Nursing & Residential Home for six weeks. The care he received from the manager, the nurses and carers was excellent. He was happy to be there and I can’t thank them enough for the fantastic care and help they gave both my father and me. Unfortunately he passed away in their care and even on the night he passed, the nurse and carers on duty that night where very sympathetic. Thank you all again.
