The level of care and attention is personal and tailored to Mum's needs. I feel that Abington Park View is Mum's home and a home that she shares with her friends and we are welcomed in with open arms and love.
Our mum moved into Abington Park View Care Home only three weeks ago. We chose this home after viewing it and we immediately knew it was the right place. The team have really helped Mum settle in and it has been truly heartwarming to see she has been joining in with the regular events and activities. The fantastic staff also make us feel so welcome every time we visit and we really enjoy seeing Mum in her new home. We can relax knowing that Mum is being so well cared for.
My overall impression of the care provided at Abington Park View is exemplary. My wife's needs are always met and she is treated with compassion and dignity. My wife has found peace here at Abington Park. To summarise the home's strength is attention to detail.
Today I visited my Aunt. She has been a resident for approx 6 weeks. The transformation in her behaviour and appearance in that time has been lovely to see. She is happy and well cared for. Her presenting needs have been addressed, and she is cared for in a person centred way. The staff are well trained and welcoming. It's a pleasure to visit her.
My mother-in-law was very well cared for. The setting was homely, the staff went the extra mile. The staff treat the residents like family. My mother-in-law was very happy there. She loved to get involved with everything that was going on and the staff went above and beyond to cater to her needs.
My mum was a resident at Abington Park View for three years before she passed away last month. Trusting the welfare of a loved one to someone outside of the family is a big step and we were anxious at first but the amazing staff at Abington Park View soon put our minds at ease. Everyone is so caring and the atmosphere is one of a home from home. Right from the start, Mum was treated as an individual with the staff wanting to know what made her happy and what her interests were - this made such a difference to her quality of life. Important days such as Mum and Dad's wedding anniversary were always marked in some way, such as Dad being invited to come and share a special meal with Mum. We always felt included in Mum's care with regular updates and the opportunity to take part in online meetings. My family and I are so grateful that Mum's final years were spent in such a caring, safe, and happy environment.
Mum was living at Abington Park View for three years before she passed away in August 2024. It was a very difficult time when it became clear that, due to the progression of Alzheimer's, it was no longer possible for us to care for Mum at home. We looked at many homes before deciding that Abington Park View was the one where we thought she would be happiest and we were not disappointed. The care she received was second to none and it was such a comfort to know that Mum was safe, happy, and loved. We were involved in all decisions made about mum's care and always kept fully informed. Mum was treated with the utmost respect and all of the staff were friendly, loving, and caring. They do everything possible to ensure that the residents remain as active as possible and have a happy and fulfilled life. Every member of staff at Abington Park View is professional and totally dedicated to the residents they care for. We cannot thank them enough for making mum's last three years such happy ones.
My mum was a resident here for just under 3 years. We were very upset that she needed to go into a care home but almost straight we could see that this was the perfect place for her. The staff were wonderful. It really felt like walking into a family home. Mum was never in her room, except to sleep. She was always being kept active, both mentally and physically. Staff very quickly worked out what mum loved to do (look after others) and set about making sure she could do this by safely including her in helping to tidy, serve dinner and look after the 'babies' (dolls). This was key to mum having a full and happy life. They always included us in all the social events at the home and each member of staff became friends to us as a family. We really felt they loved having mum there and when she passed away last month, the staff were visibly upset, which goes to show the level they care for their residents. We're so happy she spent her final years here, happy, safe and loved. Thank you
A great care home that I would recommend to anyone. My mum was there from October 2019 until she passed away in June 2024. The care she received was second to none from start to end. Staff are very caring and have such a positive attitude, not just to the residents but to everyone who visits the home. Residents are treated with dignity and safety measures are implemented to suit every situation. When my mum began to deteriorate rapidly and needed more support, this was discussed with us so we were fully involved in all decisions. The end-of-life care she received was excellent, as was the support we were given during the very hard final visits. Overall, Abington Park View is like a home from home for those staying there and the staff are dedicated to making life interesting and keeping residents as active as possible through lots of activities, i.e. visits from a local nursery, religious services, seasonal crafts, and quizzes.
The staff and management were always kind and helpful and very accommodating when I visited my relative in their care cannot praise them highly enough they are always available to help with the residents nothing is too much trouble.

My father spent his last 4 years of his life at Abington Park View and they could not have been more caring and attentive to my needs. All the staff are dedicated to providing the best possible care they can.
The staff showed care, respect and great kindness at all times. They provided a safe place and a sympathetic environment for each individual resident.
Mum-in-law has been in the home for four years now and during that time the care has been exceptional. The staff are very caring and nothing is too much trouble. The environment is always clean and the decorations are very cheerful. It is a welcoming environment at all times.
Excellent, kind, caring staff. A true 'home from home'.
I never thought of the day that Mum would go into a care home, as our mum was always looking after us, right to the day she couldn't. Mum went into two respites, and they definitely don't stand up to Abington Park View. The care that is received is all we can ask for. She has a lovely room, which is always clean, and the food is all made fresh, which I am sure when Mum could eat, she enjoyed it, especially the cake. The care that I have witnessed has always been kind and respectful, and I have never heard a carer's voice raised to any of the residents. Overall, I am truly grateful for all that they do for our mum.
My mother has been a resident at Abington Park View for over three years. The levels of cleanliness and hygiene are high and well maintained, the manager and her colleague are friendly and approachable and always happy to help with any concerns the family may have. The interaction between the carers and residents is warm and caring. My mother's needs are complex, as a family we are confident that the manager and her team meet Mum's needs, comfort and safety with kindness, patience and dignity. It is reassuring to know my mother is in such good hands.

Her needs are higher than most of the residents there but the wonderful team, from the care home manager to the carers and the cook, have been exceptional in caring for my mum. We, as a family, are truly grateful she is in safe hands that have her best interests at heart. Thank you.
