View Full Details of Rushden Park Nursing HomeOur mum receives good care mostly, takes over 10 mins at some times to answer call bells. Would be good if resident/relatives meetings could be after 4 pm to allow more relatives to attend . The food is always prepared and presented well
We put our relative into Rushden Park for 2 weeks respite care, we found the home modern, clean & well appointed. All the staff were wonderful from carers to domestic staff. Rooms were nice & food well varied. My relative enjoyed her stay especially the activities & church. My relative would happily return should we need. I would recommend this home to anyone.
My Father was in hospital for six weeks, and it was difficult to get there to see him. We are so glad he was at Rushden Park as all of his relatives were able to come to see him. All of the carers and nurses were very kind and caring. When my Dad arrived he had his hair combed and was given a shave, which hadn't happened in hospital. His clothes were changed daily and he was made very comfortable in bed, even when he was no longer conscious. Thank you.
My Father went into Rushden Park Care Home in May 2024 and despite his initial resentment at having to accept he needed full-time care, as he was confined to bed. The staff showed great patience and tolerance always, which resulted in the staff and my Dad building up a friendship and respect. We were always kept informed at every step of his care and we have nothing but praise for the home, and staff and would recommend to anyone.
Always clean and tidy. Staff are always very friendly and helpful with any questions. Treat my parents with dignity and kindness.
Always a happy place to visit, very welcoming. Had dinner with my mother-in-law, food was amazing, all fresh. Staff go above and beyond to help. Shopping trolley available for people that can't get out and about.
I cannot speak highly enough of this care home and its staff. My mother was only there a week at the end of her life but she was looked after so well and treated with love, dignity, and care. I wish I had managed to get her there sooner. Every member of the team looked after her with such love and respect. It's also a beautiful care home in a lovely setting - Mum's room was perfect and full of light overlooking the garden. Thank you so much for everything you did - Rushden Park Care Home.
I have been a resident here for 5 years and it is better now than it has ever been. I feel the manager is interested in my welfare as are the majority of the other staff. We could really do with volunteers to help with things like manicures, coffee rounds, and outings. Staff do their best in the time allowed. One member of staff in particular is very good at caring. We have a variety of needs which makes caring very difficult.
My lovely auntie has been placed at Rushden Park for end-of-life care. This was a huge shock and the staff here were so understanding and comforting. The room is lovely, very homely and comfortable. The atmosphere as you come in is very welcoming - I feel confident in the care my auntie is receiving, everyone is friendly and very kind. The food is very good, everywhere is very clean. I am so pleased my Auntie was placed somewhere so lovely. Thank you.
Since my Mother was admitted in May this year, I have found the home to be exceptional. The staff have gone out of their way to make the transition for both my Mother and us as easy as possible. My sister and I were worried about how my Dad would cope once my Mother was here full time but the staff have all taken him under their wings and made him part of the team. Excellent home, I cant ask for anywhere better for my Mother to spend her final days.
I cannot thank all the carers, nurses, domestics, kitchen team, maintenance, and management enough for being so accommodating to my grandmother. The work they all do at this home is remarkable. My grandmother came in unable to weight bare, and she left being able to walk from one side of a room to the other. The time and effort they took into her care was amazing and I couldn't have asked for more. They even catered to my grandfather when he visited, he came every day and there was always a hot meal and a cup of tea waiting for him. The rooms are so lovely and homely, and the activities programme was perfect! So suited to all the clientele and very much adored by my grandmother and all our family that attended and joined in! My grandmother was only here for respite but I can honestly say I have never felt so safe and secure in a home, I had no worries, no problems, and my grandmother fully enjoyed her experience. She's back home and is always saying how she misses the home!
My Nan came for respite which she enjoyed so much she nearly didn't come home as she loved getting to know all the staff and still asks about them now. My Nan came to the home unable to stand which changed a couple weeks later as the carers were committed to getting her walking again. All the staff were amazing! They were so kind, respectful, and patient with my Nan. The staff here go above and beyond even making sure our grandad who would visit every day was okay, eating and drinking, and would chat with him at any opportunity. I can't thank this home enough if it wasn't for them I wouldn't have the Nan I have today. Thank you so much to you all!
My father has been a resident since December 2023. At first, he was very unsettled as it was the first time he had left home. He was taken to the hospital and has not returned home since. He has now settled, he enjoys his breakfast and a bath. He is only eating bacon and eggs for lunch, which the kitchen accommodate, plus his jelly and ice cream. He enjoys his cups of tea and blackcurrant juice and his sandwich for tea.
I have given the Overall Experience this score because we have had a few problems that took time to resolve. Management has been very up and down in the two years Mum has been here. Food and Drink - Sometimes the vegetables are not cooked enough and are too hard to eat. Activities are getting better now.
I have found all the nursing staff always ready to help my wife, nearly always straight away. If they don't this is due to already helping another resident. All the staff from the cleaners, laundry, kitchen, nurses and office are all polite and will go out of their way to help. I can always go to the office and talk to the manager at any time about any problems I might have. A very good nursing home. Due to my wife being bedbound and does not eat solids I cannot comment on food and activities.
I like it here, the staff are very friendly and kind. It's always nice and clean. Although the food is good it could do with being more varied. The activities are fun but as with the food, more variety would be good. I don't often get a chance to go out from the home so that would make a nice change.
I have found the staff to be very helpful and usually attend my wife when asked.
Excellent almost without exception. One housekeeper, in particular, goes above and beyond what is expected of her. Several of the healthcare assistants are fantastic at their jobs.
My wife has been at the home since late June, and the care she has received is first-class. Nothing is too much trouble from all the staff, and they always have a smile and a cheery word for all the residents.
Excellent service and attention at all times. Very caring staff.
