View Full Details of Alexandra House Nursing HomeVery professional and polite members of staff who are very supportive of not just my mum but myself as well. Mum looks very well and smart in appearance every time I have visited. The home is very clean and tidy. I can't thank all the staff enough for giving me peace of mind knowing Mum is very well cared for and safe.
My mother was admitted to this care home recently and she is delighted with her choice. This is a gem of a care home. All the staff are dedicated, loving and caring. There is a culture within this care home of love, helpfulness, respect and a desire and commitment to ensure every resident's wellbeing and happiness is a priority. The catering is excellent and the activities provided are amazing and tailored to individual abilities. This care home comes highly recommended and needs to be Number 1 on the wish list of any potential resident.
Staff are pleasant and helpful and do the best they can for visitors and residents.
My wife enjoyed her stay at Alexandra House. The staff were caring and helpful.
I cannot thank all the staff enough for the care they gave my mum. You could see that they all genuinely loved her and I could see a massive difference in her as soon as she moved in. Mum became very challenging in the end, however, they all still treated her with the love, care and dignity she deserved. I cannot fault them at all.
The level of care from the nurses, carers and staff is excellent and Mum as settled in well. Facilities ie decoration etc could do with some improvements but this is more than made for with the care she receives from the staff.
Mum's care was excellent. The staff are all fantastic and do a very difficult job. Activities provided for residents are great, with staff encouraging people to take part. The building just needs a bit of investment to bring it up to standard, but this is only a small concern.
We will always be grateful to the carers, cook, kitchen, domestic and maintenance staff, nurses, reception, and management for the care and attention they gave to our loved one. They put a smile on his face every day with their banter and the time they spent with him. Not forgetting the support given to us as a family in very sad and worrying times. Also, the quality of the entertainment for the residents is amazing. Thank you to each and every one of you, we will never forget you.
Although Mum has not been here long, the staff are extremely caring towards her. Very considerate of her needs. Very accommodating towards family.
My mum has been a resident here for 4 years and has made it so far through the pandemic. She has now turned 101 and a lot of this is down to the staff and carers and all their hard work through difficult times. It is not an easy profession and not particularly well paid so I commend all their hard work. Many thanks.
Very pleased with Alexandra House. Would recommend to anyone how good the staff and carers are. Is being looked after one hundred percent. My family and myself are very happy.
Good, caring staff and a happy, cheerful atmosphere. Mum is well looked after and it's good to know that help is on hand 24/7.
Good visit. Mum seemed well cared for and the staff were helpful - generally good atmosphere.
Since mid-September 2020, after my father was admitted to Alexandra House on a short term basis pending a review required of his care needs, he was finally granted long term residency in December 20. From day one of him living there, the care and attention that he has been given and received, has made a massive difference not only to himself but the family as well. We know that he is being very well cared for, and any concerns, you are made aware of straight away. He is settling in great and enjoys the interaction with the staff, and we all understand, that had he not been living at Alexandra House, things would be very different for him, and us as a family also. The comfort of knowing he is being looked after, by a very dedicated and hard-working team, gives as peace of mind. We are looking forward to better days when we will be able to visit him properly, but the 'pod visits' when they were allowed, were a great way to visit, under these very strange and difficult times.
Mother seems to be happy at Alexandra House but she would, I feel, benefit from more stimulating activities. Because of the Covid lockdown, I was unable to fill in some of the boxes - not having access to indoors. Outside appearances give a good impression though.
I always find the staff are very helpful, caring and supportive. Nothing seems to much trouble to give you peace of mind, for my mother's long term stay here. Credit to everyone who work's here.
I have found the manager and all the staff polite and helpful from the day we went to view the home until now. My mother has been in 2 weeks now, she is treated with respect and dignity. We have noticed the staff work very hard, not just on care, but trying to occupy the residents with games.
My brother was happy from the day he moved into Alexandra House. He frequently said to me he couldn't fault anyone. He was a resident for over 2 years.
Mother is very well looked after. The staff are, unfailingly kind and helpful. Everyone is always cheerful. When Mother needs medical care this is organised very quickly.
The staff appear to be well in control and understand the needs of residents and any emergency situations. Cleanliness and safety seem to be well in hand and considering the amount of footfall, is under control. Guests are made welcome and greeted on arrival.
