View Full Details of Ashley Care CentreMum was warmly welcomed into Ashley Care Centre more than 5 years ago. Having discussed her needs with friendly, caring staff and inspected the home, I was confident she was in the best possible place for her safety and well-being. My opinion has never wavered since. Special mention must go to the staff who established a bond with Mum. Her smiling interaction with them was a joy to behold and a great comfort to our whole family. Despite the advancing dementia this interaction is still apparent. Even through the dreadful pandemic, management and staff did everything they could for their residents and relatives given the enormously difficult challenges they must have faced. I have recommended this home in the past and will continue to do so. Thank you Ashley, for everything.
My mother has lived at Ashley Care Centre for over 5 years and I feel it is about time I wrote a review. In all that time I have found the staff to be supportive, caring and flexible to my mother's care. My mother's needs have changed due to the progress of dementia. She doesn't respond verbally much now but I notice her face lights up whenever staff approach and interact with her and I am well aware that if she is not happy she will let you know by body language! I am confident in the staff's decisions for my mother and know they have readily sought advice from other professionals eg doctor, tissue viability nurse, physiotherapist etc as required. They keep the family informed of any health issues and actions taken. I would just like to add my thanks and respect for all staff and management during the very difficult and ever-changing circumstances of the covid pandemic. I recommend Ashley Care Centre to anybody needing professional and caring support for a loved one.
What can I say, what an absolutely fantastic care centre, nice friendly staff and very welcoming, cracking service to all residents. Definitely recommend. Thanks to all the staff who are looking after my grandad and other residents.
My mother ended up in the hospital from this disgusting place. She needed 2 blood transfusions and had severe bruising to 70% of her body, yes 70%, and Ashley Care Home doesn't know what happened?, how can this be, injuries like that don't just happen. Hospitalised for 3 weeks, they never even rang to see how she was until the hospital Safeguarding team got in touch. Absolutely awful place, if you care about your loved ones, this is definitely not the place for them.
There is so much that is to be recommended about Ashley Care Centre. The way the staff and carers interact with residents is truly excellent. That is not only my observation as a relative but most important of all it is an observation of my aunt, who always says how well she is being treated, how she loves the carers, and how well-fed she is. That is hugely reassuring to me. My aunt is settled and whilst the dementia has taken its inevitable toll she is still well enough to let us know that she is very well cared for. That matters more than anything. Staff have been stretched beyond anything any of us could have imagined over the past two years during the pandemic but still the carers find time for a reassuring handhold, hug, and words of reassurance when managing residents' personal needs. I would highly recommend this home based on my experience over the last two years whilst my aunt has been a resident.
